Not sure what agent you have dealt with but, I know at my store we offer "new every two"....NEW PHONES and our phones are cheaper than any direct store. Also we offer a protection plan that blows Assurion completely out of the picture. Maybe you need to do some shopping around, you dont buy a car at the first lot u see do u????

Get away with what? The average guy off the street gets promotional pricing, which means a discounted phone. The New Every Two customer gets a $100 off of whatever phone they choose. If you walk into my store now as a new customer an 8300 would be 99.99 - 50 rebate, as a new every two customer would get the same phone for 50 with a 50 rebate.....FREE after rebate. your right thats a horrible deal...lol

On top of that you pay more for "push to talk" or whatever Nextel calls there service, when you can call Verizon to Verizon for no extra charge. I never heard that...only in cases when its a promotion that Verizon itself is running. Now I always tell people (especially customers porting there number from another carrier) to try and call customer service and ask if they will credit there activation fee back which they do 75% of the time.

It isnt an Eroes issue now, it has to do with the settings on your stores computers that need tweaked....we had the same issues for weeks and it was such a PAIN....IT guy showed up and fixed everything in minutes.

First off, the customer only knows what they are going to do with there phone (ex..taking it in the bathroom while u shower)they have the ability to purchase monthly insurance on your phone....the same as you do on your car in case of a mishap.....its the cellular companies fault for deppreciating the price of phones with all the deals and promotions, then when the customer messes up the there phone they think they can get the phone free ...

Believe me all the crazy things I hear customers tell me Radio Shack told them, I can only imagine some of the non-sense Wal-Mart employees can come up with and we will be responsible for fixing. I attend monthly as well as quarterly training to keep up on new technology....Wal-Mart employees Im sure get none.

The promotion was more or less an extension of the 8100 promotion through Father's Day, this has been talked about and was going to happen regardless of how popular the phones became....still a decent price for the phone, actually was surprised the sold them initially at the price they did.

My biggest complaint is the wet strips, some look like they should and others look like they are already bled (brand new in the box).....If all else fails check the charging port for corrosion...99% of the time you will find it if there is water damage...also shuts up the customer real quick (usually). Usually if you keep asking questions the customer will somehow spill the beans (or water) about something getting spilled or dropped on the phone.

As it was stated later in the posts, this phone is suppose to allow u to hear yourself. The 8100 didnt do it and kinda threw me off when i first purchased it, this is actually something i do like about the 8300. Do not return the phone because of something the manufacturer has added on purpose or you will be angry when the next one does the samething.

Yes, there can only be one connection at a time, if you are in a call it should show the 1x signal strength...you cannot have an actual phone call and evdo at the same time. Everything you described is how your phone should be operating.

Phones can be purchased from Verizon or from whoever the Indirect agent wants to...only problem, phones purchased through other outlets may not carry the same rebates and pricing that Verizon offers and the big thing is Verizon will not FRU (1 year warranty, verizon swaps phone for a differnt one) a phone not purchased through there "warehouse". Have seen this cause issues in the past.

First....download "Audacity"...open an mp3 on your computer using Audacity, find part of the song you want as your ringtone...highlight it and copy...open up new window of Audacity..paste to new window.
Goto file and choose export selection as mp3...save it to your computer..open up email program...send email to "your cellnumber@vzwpix.com...atttach the mp3 that you created with Audacity and send..
When your phone receives pix message it should automatically play song when opened...click on options and choose save as ringtone...
There you have it. ...

Ok so I took the advice of others and download Audacity to edit songs into ringtones...The songs I we're using soung great on my computer but when i edited them and sent them to my phone the quality is horrible....just wondering if there is a way to improve the quality, basically just seeing how everone else is doing this.

I have to say that so far so good on any actual phone concerns....I love the fact that I can hear myself talk unlike the 8100, everyone says i sound great. Now if they through in a better external display all would be good.
