Thanks for the link tipdrill. I was hoping for a stronger vibrate mode, not a softer one. I cannot believe they are making it "softer, quieter". Whats the matter with them? Oh well, looks like there is NOT an iPhone in my future.

Does anyone know if the Eris supports adobe flash for videos and websites that require adobe flash? Having no adobe flash is one of several things that have kept me from an iPhone.
Can a900 be used with Verizon
I have the option of buying a very nice Samsung MM-A900/SPH A900 from a friend. He is presently using it on Sprints network. I am on Verizon. Does anyone know if there is any feasible way for this to be used on Verizons network? Software changes, etc? Thanks for any input.
downloading stuff from 9900
I have an Audiovox 9900 which I have used for the past four years or so. I love the phone, but am told by Audiovox that its software just doesn't support some of the stuff I want to do. Like download pictures using the cable I have, or downloading the phonebook to my computer, or using the Verizon Backup Assistant to save my phone listings on their site.

resetting razr v3c to get rid of "my number"
I have a Razr v3c, Verizon service. I am selling the phone to someone I don't know. I have completed the master reset which cleared out the phone book etc., but when you go to 'My Number", my phone number which is on another phone, is still listed in the memory. sensitive side buttons ???
I am currently using the Audiovox 9900, which I love. What I really love about it is that you can change it from ring to vibrate with the push of a keypad button instead of a sensitive side button. And the side buttons that are there, are recessed a bit and it is virtually impossible to accidentally press one....in fact, I don't think it has ever happened in the three years that I have used this phone.

Amen.........I've had my Razr V3c for about three months. Slow as heck to boot up, slow to react when doing anything except punching in numbers to dial a call, and of course, the too sensitive side buttons which change the ringer from vibrate to off with no notice. I switched over to my old Audiovox 9900 yesterday, and I love it. I wouldn't have a Razr if they paid me to use it.

I've had such good luck getting questions answered by lots of very helpful people......until a couple of jerks decide their questions and comments are more important than others'. I make absolutely no apologies for wanting a quicker way to access my phone without having to go through two extra unneeded steps to use it. If you don't have any constructive comments, keep your thoughts to yourself. You show your immaturaty by acting like that.

And froll, thanks for your input too. As I mentioned in my original question, I was aware that CLR + * would lock the keypad, but thats just two extra unnecessary keystrokes you have to go through each time you want to use the phone. Just seems like a really stupid software issue....could have been an easy fix with just a choice in ...

What I don't like about the phone is that you cannot set the phone to vibrate and have it stay that way until which time I, and only I, decide to manually change it to something else.
