Re: How strong is the vibrate mode?

Thanks for the link tipdrill. I was hoping for a stronger vibrate mode, not a softer one. I cannot believe they are making it "softer, quieter". Whats the matter with them? Oh well, looks like there is NOT an iPhone in my future.

How strong is the vibrate mode?
Feb 12, 2011, 4:42 PM
in the Apple iPhone 4 (CDMA) forum

I'm happy the iPhone has come to Verizon. I've been with Verizon for years, since they bought out GTE in North Carolina.....maybe 15 to 20 years ago. My partner has had an iPhone since AT&T first rolled them out, so I know about all its virtues. The only reason I still have an LG-VX8700 is that I can feel it vibrate when I get a phone call, and when I have tested out my partners iPhone, ...

Droid Incredible vibrate mode

in the HTC Droid Incredible forum

How is the vibrate mode on the Droid Incredible? I ask this, because about six or eight months ago I purchased a Droid Eris. I was so excited, but after about twenty minutes of having it activated, I decided to deactivate it and go back to my good ole trusty LG VX8700 that I have used for the past four years. The problem was that the vibrate mode on the Eris was so weak, that I ...

Well, I finally got an Eris. I charged it up and was getting real excited about finally getting a phone similar to the iphone. I went online with Verizon and got it connected to my account. It took me about ten minutes of making and receiving calls on it to make the decision that I will be selling this phone. For me, the vibrate mode is most important. I wear my phones on my ...

Thank you so much for your response. Yes, your thoughts will help me in my decision, as well as going back to the store and playing with it a bit more.

several questions about eris
Dec 24, 2009, 11:11 AM
in the HTC Droid Eris forum

I have a few questions about the droid eris with Verizon. I have been a Verizon customer for many years. I have never owned a smart phone and have been using an LG VX-8700 for several years. I am 53 years old and really am not interested in games and other such stuff. I am thinking of getting an Eris, though. I will be buying one from an individual, not from Verizon, because I ...

Does anyone know if the Eris supports adobe flash for videos and websites that require adobe flash? Having no adobe flash is one of several things that have kept me from an iPhone.

Can a900 be used with Verizon

in the Samsung MM-A900 / SPH-A900 / Ace forum

I have the option of buying a very nice Samsung MM-A900/SPH A900 from a friend. He is presently using it on Sprints network. I am on Verizon. Does anyone know if there is any feasible way for this to be used on Verizons network? Software changes, etc? Thanks for any input.

downloading stuff from 9900

in the Audiovox CDM-9900 forum

I have an Audiovox 9900 which I have used for the past four years or so. I love the phone, but am told by Audiovox that its software just doesn't support some of the stuff I want to do. Like download pictures using the cable I have, or downloading the phonebook to my computer, or using the Verizon Backup Assistant to save my phone listings on their site. I have checked out the Susteen DataPilot software, ...

resetting razr v3c to get rid of "my number"
Feb 8, 2007, 11:27 AM
in the Motorola forum

I have a Razr v3c, Verizon service. I am selling the phone to someone I don't know. I have completed the master reset which cleared out the phone book etc., but when you go to 'My Number", my phone number which is on another phone, is still listed in the memory. How can I clear this out. I have heard horror stories about accounts somehow getting switched when a used phone goes to someone else ...

sensitive side buttons ???
Sep 25, 2006, 3:22 PM
in the Samsung SCH-A930 forum

I am currently using the Audiovox 9900, which I love. What I really love about it is that you can change it from ring to vibrate with the push of a keypad button instead of a sensitive side button. And the side buttons that are there, are recessed a bit and it is virtually impossible to accidentally press one....in fact, I don't think it has ever happened in the three years that I have used this phone. I went ...

Amen.........I've had my Razr V3c for about three months. Slow as heck to boot up, slow to react when doing anything except punching in numbers to dial a call, and of course, the too sensitive side buttons which change the ringer from vibrate to off with no notice. I switched over to my old Audiovox 9900 yesterday, and I love it. I wouldn't have a Razr if they paid me to use it.

I've had such good luck getting questions answered by lots of very helpful people......until a couple of jerks decide their questions and comments are more important than others'. I make absolutely no apologies for wanting a quicker way to access my phone without having to go through two extra unneeded steps to use it. If you don't have any constructive comments, keep your thoughts to yourself. You show your immaturaty by acting like that.

Thanks Fletchi18, I'm glad to see there are others bothered by this same side button issue. And froll, thanks for your input too. As I mentioned in my original question, I was aware that CLR + * would lock the keypad, but thats just two extra unnecessary keystrokes you have to go through each time you want to use the phone. Just seems like a really stupid software issue....could have been an easy fix with just a choice in ...

In response to Ocaydin.........I may not have explained my complaint very well. What I don't like about the phone is that you cannot set the phone to vibrate and have it stay that way until which time I, and only I, decide to manually change it to something else. What happens is that those stupid buttons on the side are way too sensitive and if you accidentally touch one the wrong way when opening the phone, it ...

vibrate setting that will stay
May 8, 2006, 8:50 PM
in the Motorola RAZR V3c forum

I have a Verizon V3c which I got with their buy one get one free promotion a couple of months ago in Winston-Salem, NC. With my 100.00 credit due, I ended up getting two of them for just the sales tax of about 3.50. The phone is just OK. I would never get it again. I cannot stand the stupid side buttons which change the volume of the ringer, and even turns off the ringer if you ...
