There are already numerous 5G devices for 2h 2021 that are under $200 for 5G. One Plus used to lead in this area all of the time, now they are just a follower. SMH

You make some valid points but Apple is a profitable company because they charge $1000 for phones that everyone needs and you are correct, the Bill of materials is probably around $200. When they charge $100 more for a certain memory configuration, that cost to them is around $10-15. I do not see iOS running the same as Android, they would never allow it, and Samsung uses Android, but they have their own "UI" layer on top. ...

They were having a hard time competing anyways, lots of churn and poor customer experiences. It is a drop in the bucket to him. I imagine those contracts will be cancelled, and those 8MIL subs will either churn away or VZW will offer them some amazing switch offer.

TMO will not be able to sunset CDMA until a plan is developed to migrate those customers over to VoLTE capable devices...they will start will bill inserts, then text message campaign, and finally, TMO will have to purchase devices for those affected customers. It will not be a cheap program, thats for true!
