I wouldn't expect more from AT&T. Honestly, it's not like they're a consumer friendly company. This nickel and diming is EXACTLY what you'd expect them to do.

Truly sad... It looks like design a reject. Embarrassing really. I don't think a soccer mom or a crack head would want to be be dead with this.

All these recent announcements seem like smoke and mirrors. It's like the carriers are trying to fool people into thinking they're actually doing something good for consumers. Sprint recently announced (after being dragged to court) that customers can unlock their phones after they fulfill they're contract requirements. Umm, wow, welcome to the softer side of Spring. This zipped around the web like it was something amazing despite the fact that T-Mobile and even AT&T have been unlocking phones after ...

How about Helio adds a feature where customers can opt for a 1 year contract instead of 2 year. Seriously, who do these people think they are? lol.

I was really hoping to hear something about call quality in Eric's review. CNET said it didn't sound too good. Another UK review said it was OKAY. So what does Eric think? Can we look forward to a full review?

Retention price?

Anyone know how much this might go for if you go thru the retentions department? Is asking to get it for $199 on a one year contract out of the question?

5 reasons why I stick with T-Mobile

Customer Service is really, really good. T-Mobile thanks you for being a customer since so and so when you call them up. And they actually sound like they mean it. My plan is great, 39.99 for 1000 anytime minutes, plus unlimited nights and weekends. That plan has since gone away but reappears as a promotion from time to time. Have you ever seen a plan this good from the other Big 3? A lot of people complain about coverage, it's actually ...

Plain old mp3 seems to work fine. I downloaded an mp3 to the phone and was able to set it as a ringtone with no problem or need to change the name of the file to .3gp

Re: t509 v. e635 on t-mobile??

The T509 has a lot of nice features except call quality is really poor. The e635 is my current phone until the T629 comes out. I'm really pleased with the e635 so far. It's also much more comfortable to hold than the T509. I reviewed the T509 if you want to read more about it: https://www.phonescoop.com/phones/user_review s.php?phone=907

I think the T629 is the same phone as the Ultra Edition 12.9 (so 12.9mm). I think the T519 is the same thing as the Ultra Edition 6.9 (so 6.9mm). http://www.engadget.com/2006/06/21/samsun gs-ultra-edition-9-9-12-9-6-9-worlds-slimmest -cellpho/

The number one reason to buy from T-mobile is that you can easily return it when you realize you paid $550 for a one year old phone that sells from FREE to $500US dollars (depending on plan) at T-Mobile UK.
