that doesn't sound right, try this go into your setting and into privacy and do a master wipe, there might be something that is making the phone not look for the update, before you do this make sure you save and sync your info because this will wipe the phone as if you just took it out of the box for the first time. when done it will ask you to activate the phone... after that do a ...

there is a import/export button in the outlook under file, you can export your calendar and your contacts to your gmail account. I think the file format you need to save them in is .cvs hope this helps

unfortunately its alway a tentative date, if there is any issues with the os they delay it... hate waiting but verizon isn't stupid they wont put a update out unless it is solid... however they are finishing up with the DI's 2.2 updates this week the next in line is the Dx... and what we have been here at work (Verizon) is that is should start up here this week or beginning of next. launcher pro, helix launcher, ADW launcher, helix 2, ahome, apanda, etc....
i have used all and thought the launcher pro and adw launcher are the best in there own rights, they are both customizable and make the phone seem snappier the others are good and the helix are not bad but they seem to FC force close) alot on all the droids i have owned. but i havent used them in a while so they might be better...

yeah forgot about that.... that was nice to have especially to know that your phone was accepting a charge too. i miss that... however the reason probably is that they packed some much BA'ness into the phone it didn't need a wussy little light to tell you its ready to kick arse, you just know!!!

i know of 2 that i have seen, one is the battery no longer has a lightning bolt inside of the battery icon, and the other on the front of the lock screen says that the battery is fully charge.. is there another that the d1 had that i didn't see when i had the phone?

yeah it should unless announced otherwise, it has been in the last 4 builds for the 2.2 software. i have yet to run any build on any OS (ie bb, windows, palm etc.) that stuff like that unless customized by the builder wasn't in the official build.
