What's the deal with battery life?
Nov 15, 2008, 12:52 PM
in the HTC Touch Pro (CDMA) forum

Went to check one out at my local Spint store and they said they are out of stock and awaiting an updated version from HTC that fixes the battery issue? I'm also reading on multiple forums that users are having serious problems w/ incredibly short battery life. The Sprint store story could be BS from a misinformed rep, but the user forums are for real. Anyone know 'officially' if there are defects/issues with the early batches that are being ...

Ratings mean nothing on this site

These are supposed to be reviews; instead, most of them are worthless, 5-star fanboy one-liners -- and many are probably duplicates from the same person using a different account/login. The only place I've been able to get some feel from real users with real issues and concerns is from this thread over on sprintusers. Interesting to note that the Instinct 'problem' thread is alreday approaching 300 posts. Give it up Instinct fanboys, this is not 'the best phone ever'. http://www.sprintusers.com/forum/sh owthread.php?t=165844

Wow! Look at all the Instinct fanboys here!!

I'm getting a kick out of reading the bashing going on in this discussion about the Instinct review. Reminds me of the chatter over on the Apple iphone forum, where any critical comment about the iphone is countered with a barrage of defensive posts from the Apple fanboys. Keep up the posts, kiddies -- this is fun! For the benefit of the uninformed, here's the definition from Wikipedia: "Fanboy (sometimes spelled fanboi) is a term used to describe an individual who ...

Force roaming on T-mobile?
May 14, 2008, 7:01 AM
in the Apple iPhone forum

Other than unlocking/hacking, is there a way to set the iphone to roam on t-mobile? I ask because I have great t-mo coverage, but terrible ATT coverage where I would use the iphone the most.

Can prepaid T-mo phones do MMS?
May 6, 2008, 6:24 PM
in the T-Mobile forum

Looking at T-mo's prepaid web site, there's no mention of MMS service being available on the phones that have a camera. It just says: "Take high-quality pictures from your phone that you can enlarge or print." Is this true -- you can't send or receive pics on prepaid? If so, what good is the camera?

Every clip is preceeded with some kind of ad. I know this is the way of the world and is why I stay away from annoying garbage like this.

Re: EVDO Rev A Support
May 27, 2007, 8:54 AM
in the Palm Treo 755p forum

The Treo 755p is EDVO Rev-0 and does not (and can not) support Rev-A The Rev A shown on the phone info page (##786#) refers to the hardware version of the phone -- not it's network compatibility. From time to time over the course of production of a particular model, Palm will tweak components or the manufacturing process. When this happens, the newer phones ship with the updated hardware revision on the phone info screen. For example, over its ...

Re: 700wx --> 755 - Some questions before I do it...
May 24, 2007, 6:44 AM
in the Palm Treo 755p forum

The 755p does not have a default 'home screen' like WM5 phones have, nor is there a dedicated search field on any screen. To perform an Internet search om the 755p requires that you first launch Blazer, the included browser. This is done from either the main screen, or from the phone app screen. You could set Blazer's preferences to use Google search as it's home screen so that it launches whenever you open Blazer. This is the ...

in the Palm Treo 755p forum

Maybe loaded up with 3rd party apps, but out of the box, I have to disagree. With my 700wx and MotoQ I had to occasionally kill running bkgd apps to speed things up, but random freezes/resets were certainly not the norm. Every Palm OS Treo I've owned -- from the 300 to the 755p have been unstable in this regard.

1. '2day' is the closest app I've found that does this. 2. No 3. No. You have 2 options on the 755p: use the contacts app directly to find a name (will look up as you type), then select the phone # OR use the phone app and type a name (if you have the option set, it will switch to the contacts app as you type and look up the name). 4.Yes, but need to be in phone app (the dialer ...

A dog -- with fleas
May 4, 2006, 4:48 PM
in the Samsung SPH-A960 forum

Under the hood, I don't see much of a difference between this phone and the a900; which means: same crappy bluetooth and no expandable memory. The 900 is a dog; this one is the same -- just with fleas. Samsung = fancy looking garbage.
