HTC One M8 battery drain in low signal areas?
Mar 26, 2014, 9:24 AM
in the Article: Review: HTC One forum

I had an htc one and loved it BUT it had one problem. In low signal areas the battery drained really fast. Combine that and slow charge speed and I had to get rid of it. In your review did you notice faster battery drain in low signal areas?

Thinking of ditching my iPhone 4 for the samsung fascinate...any thoughts?
Oct 12, 2010, 8:39 PM
in the Samsung Fascinate / Mesmerize (Galaxy S) forum

I've had the iPhone 4 for 3 months and while it's an amazing device it seems to drop a lot of calls. It seems that android has really caught up in the last few months & I really really like the look of the fascinate... Any thoughts on doing this? I only switched to AT&T (from Verizon) for the iPhone a year ago. Most of the apps that I use are now in android. Oh & not interested in any ...

Is there anywhere besides Verizon you can buy this phone with a ONE YEAR contract?
May 28, 2010, 1:41 PM
in the HTC Droid Incredible forum

I've always done a one year contract, and I noticed on Amazon.com they are offering the Incredible for $149.99 for a 2 year contract which is $50 less than what Verizon's website charges. However, they don't have a deal for a one year contract. The price for a one year is $279.99 and it would be nice to find something similar (like $200 or $220). Any ideas?

Whats an Itunes Agent? Also, will double twist sync bookmarks or anything like that?

I downloaded double twist (Thank you btw) and was able to import my playlists from iTunes. Is there a painless way to get contacts on the phone as well as calendar items? Thanks

So I have a macbook...is there any program out there that will allow for some sort of syncing like I have with my Iphone? Or does it just show up as like a hard drive or something when you connect it?

Had the phone now for a month and I've had one accidental call. Every once in a while it will unlock in my pocket, and I'll pull it out to see the calendar up or something like that. Nowhere significant enough to warrant worrying about though... Oh, and I'm just using a screen protector and nothing else.

Well I was able to get videos to work with MP4, but the dare does not seem to like them. When I hit videos it is very slow and it also copies the video files twice. One video is watchable and the other is not...wierd

I can't decide if I like the Chocolate or the Rapture. I bought the Rapture and it had mediocre reception. I ended up returning it and getting the Chocolate 3 and people are telling me they can hear me a lot more clearly. The Rapture is just a badass looking phone though. Do you guys think I just got a bad phone? I ordered it like the day it came out. GuyinLACA I would love to hear your opinion on ...

Chocolate or the Motorola VU30 Rapture?

Just wondering if there are any opinions out there. I'm hesitant to buy a Motorola phone b/d I've had buggy ones before. However, I had an LG 8700 and that phone has had a lot of problems... I'm going to uprgade. Any advice out there to help me choose b/w the two phones?

Could you accidentally play music with the front screen?
Aug 25, 2008, 2:13 PM
in the LG Chocolate 3 VX-8560 forum

Just wondering since you can play songs on the front screen if anyone had actually had the music player go off when it was in there pocket. The same way people with candybar phones sometimes have calls made by accident when they forget to lock their phones... Also will the music play when the phone is on vibrate? Thanks

Transfer video to the dare?

I have a tivo and I attempted to transfer a tv show via bluetooth to the dare, but it said unsupported file format....the file says megp4 and it's .mp4 on the actual file. I was just wondering what format the Dare would support? Thanks

Is there a good armband out there for the dare?
Aug 17, 2008, 10:25 AM
in the LG Dare VX-9700 forum

I want to replace my Ipod Nano with the dare, and one thing I do is listen to music while running. When I got the nano I bought an armband specially designed for it. However, there does not seem to be one specially designed for the dare. There is a generic one on verizon's website, but I don't think that would actually work for what I want. Thanks

Bluetooth picture and music transfer?

Re: iTunes on the Dare???
Jul 7, 2008, 5:06 AM
in the LG Dare VX-9700 forum

There is a program called switch that works with Leopard which will convert music into MP3s. It's nowhere as easy as syncing your Ipod, but if you take the time you can save yourself some money and use the Dare for both a phone and an MP3 player...

I have an Ipod Nano, and I love the way it just can sync up to Itunes. That way I update my music with just a touch of the sync button. Can the Dare do this or something similiar? I want to put my Itunes playlist on the Dare if I get it. Does it come with an USB cable or anything like that? Also, has Verizon stopped disabling the bluetooth yet? Thanks

Am I the only one that thinks when the made the 8560 they took the 8700 and hit it with the ugly stick? And if they are replacing the 8700 wouldn't it make more sense to name it the 8800?

Bluetooh Phonebook Transfer?
Dec 27, 2007, 11:56 PM

Just got a new Nissan Altima with bluetooth. I tried to transfer my phonebook, but it would not let me, so I ended up having to manually type in a few contacts into the car. I'm assuming this is one of the things Verizon has disabled. Am I missing something? Also, would a newer phone like the Venus have this problem? Thanks

Battery not holding charge

Had an 8700 for a few months. Recently got a car with bluetooth, and now the battery is not holding it's charge. I know that bluetooth drains the battery, but this is pretty severe. At first when I turned on the bluetooth I had to charge every other night. Now it is like 12 hours before the battery dies. This morning I charged it back up for an hour and about 4 hours later it was dead again. Any ...

Re: 8300 still best LG phone
Jun 25, 2007, 11:10 AM
in the LG VX-8700 forum

I agree that performance wise the VX8300 is a better phone. Better speakers, much better battery life, etc... However the slimness of the 8700 is what sold me. It's really nice to have a phone that you can forget its even in your pocket. With that big antenna the 8300 was always noticeable.

Electronic hissing/crackling sound during calls?
May 18, 2007, 4:39 PM
in the LG VX-8700 forum

Hello, I just got the phone yesterday and I love it so far. The only issue I have is that sometimes I can hear an electronic hissing or crackling sound in the background. I read a review on phoneArena.com describing this very problem. It's not a show stopper, but for $200 I want a phone that works perfectly. Is this a problem with every phone or did I have bad luck? Thanks

Speaker phone, battery life, and charger questions
Apr 29, 2007, 2:53 PM
in the LG VX-8700 forum

Hello, I'm probably going to get this phone. I'll be upgrading from a VX8300. I've got a few of questions though after reading the reviews. 1. I've read different things about the speakerphone. I use mine mostly for when I'm on hold or navigating menus (for ex. when I'm calling Verizon). Is it good enough for that? 2. It looks like the battery life is about two-thirds of the VX8300. Have you guys noticed anything? 3. I really like desktop chargers. Since ...

LG VX8700 price with a 1 year contract?
Apr 14, 2007, 11:37 AM
in the LG VX-8700 forum

I'm eligible for an upgrade and I just want to do a 1 year contract. I checked the pricing and it is 179 with a 2 year contract and a whopping 279 with a 1 year contract. There are no rebates with a 1 year. Is that typically the case? Do you think they will lower the price anytime soon? If they don't I'll probably just stick with my trusty vx8300. Oh, and just a random question. I bought a ...

Follow up to the KRZR K1M????

Hello, I'm eligible to upgrade my phone in April and I saw that the LG VX8600 is getting a follow up called the 8700 "Shine". I really like the size of the KRZR 1M, so I'm wondering if there is a follow up to it thats going to come out in the next few months? If you google KRZR 3 you can find a GSM version of the new KRZR. It has a bigger external screen and does away with the ...
