Does anyone know how to setup the home screen (WM6) so that the icons for starting a program appear across the top of the screen... as shown on the Microsoft windows mobile 6.0 website? http://www.microsoft.com/windowsm obile/6/default.mspx

Yes, this phone will work perfectly with the medianet/smart phone plans. However, you'll have a difficult time getting them to activate the service... they claim you must get the pda plan, which cost more than double. I had a previous cell phone and started the unlimited media net data plan for $20/month. Then I bought the Treo 750 off ebay. I can get my treo to see my laptop and my laptop to see my treo, but I can't get them to connect via bluetooth for activesnyc. I sync with our email server at work via 3G. I'm just looking to use bluetooth for sending files back forth between the treo and the laptop. I can connect via usb, but it seems to be a bit flaky and locks up occasionally. Plus it always tries to update ...

I down loaded and it appeared to install just fine. However, when I go to run I get an error about not having enough memory. Only other non-stock software I have installed is google maps. Do I just need to add an SD Card?

Anyone been able to install Mozilla's Minimo internet browser on their 750? All I get is a message saying that installation was unsuccessful. Also, can anyone recommend a good holster? Thanks!

I had my 8125 setup for email with exchange server at my old job... now I'm trying to setup the same way at my new job and I can't locate where/how to change the "domain" under "edit server settings" so that everything can work. The field is there, but it doesn't allow any changes to be made... it list the domain for my old job. Any suggestions?

Laptop PC Card for Internet Access

I'm looking to get an internet access PC card for my laptop. I'll be using the service in Atlanta and Chicago... so all the major carriers provide service. Just wanted to know what folks thought about these services (speed, reliability, connection, etc). I'm leaning towards Tmobile since they have the best plan price (50/month unlimited). Anyone have experience with Tmobile? Thanks for the help!

I'm sure it's something very easy and obvious that I'm missing, but I'll ask anyway. When I open IE to go online the phone connects with Cingular's internet service. I get done and close IE, but the phone shows that it's still connected to Cingular. How do I end this connection?

In my opinion a very POOR company to do business with. In my case, they were quick to sale me a phone, promise it's in-stock, and promise next day delivery. Ended up being a joke... phone was back ordered. I also had several other problems with them along the way. The entire time they never attempt to contact me... they just expect me to contact them. Very poor customer service in my book. Order with caution!

phone has a built-in light sensor and keypad will only light up when dark. take into a dark room and try.

Cingular is the last place to expect any kind of service! Yea, you can go there, wait forever, then talk with a sales associate that probably hasn't even graduated HS. Do yourself a bigger favor... buy the phone from Walmart, save some money, and get all your tech support here!

Not sure if there is a work around, but songs placed on the Cingular phone via iTunes can not be used as a ringtone. I think that mp3 files placed on the phone using Phonetools can be used as a ringtone??? Maybe someone here will know.

You may be able to do an "early upgrade" through Cingular. I think there is a $36 fee and you're only able to get the 1-yr contract price on the phone. You may come out ahead paying an early termination fee and resigning with Walmart to get the lowest price. You'll have to check and do the math to see. Good luck!

I'm not sure why they say that. I just hook mine up via usb, transfer files, and play 'em.

You can listen to any mp3 as long as you use iTunes on your laptop to transfer the file. No special service from Cingular is required.
