Had this happen 2 years ago, hell, 1 year ago, tomorrow may just not be my last day. I have been an employee at T-Mobile for almost 4 years, and still to this day, see no future whatsoever for myslef in this company. The one thing that pisses me off the most is tha fact that there is a PART TIME rep, who has been here a shorter amount of time than myself, making more per hour.... REALLY?! That ...

Re: Store reps

Actually, every store/compan is different. I work for T-Mobile, where if you came in and bought a phone at retail price, I get nothing except lower feature/accessory sales per kit. I do not get paid on that phone. So, if you're going to T-Mobile, I would advise you to just get the phone online or maybe Walmart. Now, other companies, even Authorized Agents, may be paid differently. I would just ask the rep. He/she has no reason not to ...

WOW. That's the only way to describe this. I'm sure you've all had similar situations, but this is just ridiculous. I really want to smack this chick, then drag her out of the door by her fake hair. I will try to give you the abridged version of the story. So, guy and girl come in. Claim they have always had insurance on their account, but when they upgraded, the rep didn't put the insurance on the new phone. Well, ...

The PHP Bundle (Insurance) is 5.99/month and actually offers a LIFETIME Warranty. Not 2 years. Just thought I would clarify that. :)

Re: Can I get on WIFI in a wireless area, or check google email WITHOUT getting data plan on WIFI ph
Mar 26, 2009, 9:39 AM

No. The G1 will not even pass the first screen without having the data package. (You need to sign into Gmail) You're best bet is a Windows Mobile Phone, i.e. Shadow, Dash, Wing (Garbage). My old roomate had the first Shadow without data and could access the internet at home on our Wireless Network. Now, I haven't tried this on any of the other devices or my own (I have the data package) but I'm pretty sure it would ...

Yes, that is annoying, and I hate it. However, with all do respect, there are a few and I stress a few instances where the customer indeed never set up an account password. Whoever the rep was just put a generic 1111 or 1234, which, how do we know that the customer never set that up? You're right though, when it's something like 2739, you konw that they themselves set it up and they are just stupid.

Clearly, your one of those pain in the ass customers then, considering EVERYTIME you go into a store they put you on a phone to call care, and they don't want to deal with you personally. Something just doesn’t seem right about that. Maybe you should just do everyone a favor and stay home and just call care on your own time, rather than waste our time. You’re not going to get much help in a store. And ...

Here's the key difference. We as SALES Reps make our money on commission (Selling things. Weird, I know), not on customer service issues. That's what YOU are there for. You get to sit in your comfy chair with your own little desk, and if you wanted to take a little break you could head down to the break room with a tv, or maybe hit the cafe for some coffee, or even jog a few miles on the treadmill ...

I always tell them I can't be liable for their equipment. Works pretty well. Just tell them that they cannot leave their phones with you to charge because you cannot be responsible for the phone. Insurance reasons. They are usually cool with that. It is super annoying though. I cannot stand it!

Considering the fact that you had to preface your post by saying, "I dont usually hang in Shop Talk because I get reported to the moderator... " I really don't care about responding to your post because it's a bunch of crap anyway intended just to take up space and annoy people, and most of your posts are just ignorant anyway, but I do want to respond to the radiation thing. It's crap, and I can't stand when people ...

That's interesting, I never heard that before. Hmmm. Sounds good though!

I guess I can see what the issue would be, however, I don't really feel for you. Not to sound rude, but your on the phone with people and they don't even know where you are. Try working in a retail store with business cards with your full name and address where they can FIND you and deal with them face to face. They know where you work, what you look like and your full name. Just comes with ...

What makes you think that yelling and screaming at me or being rude to me will make me work harder for you?

Well, like I said, I've been with the company about 3 years and have yet to be promoted. I've been transfered plenty of times, but from my experience they like to hire from the outside for management positions. I've only seen 2 internal promotions in my 3 years. That honestly could be just my market or upper management but from what T-Mo says, they like to promote from within. I just haven't seen it. They actually have a program ...

I would take a look at the Sony Ericson TM506. It has GPS and I believe will show LAT and LONG. Battery life standby is around 14 days with very limited usage. Of course using that GPS will nothelp the battery life at all but that's what he wants right? As far as service is concerned then yes it would be a carrier concern. More than likely your best results will be with a CDMA phone like Verizon or Alltel, ...

T-Mobile treats their employees very well (Company as a whole), as I am one. Of course not everyone in a management role is the same and you'll still have your few a-hole bosses, but overall the company is great to work for. I've been here about 3 years so far, and again, there are going to be a few things, like any other job that you dis-like, but I believe the Pros far outweigh the Cons. $3.00 mor per ...

Very Fishy. That phone should be sold a $80 with a $50 Mail in rebate to make it $29.99 after the rebate. Is it a corporate store or indirect?

Well, we do offer a Monthly Flex Pay Account (No Deposit however you pay 1st month service upfront as well as Full Invoice Proice for Phone), but the phone is not $20. The lowest price on a phone for that service should be $59.99 (Flex Monthly not Annual), unless they are churning Pre Paid phones which is cheating. But I don't cheat.
