I found an article on google somewhere that described the need to create 3 folders on the sd card you are using. right at the top level if you create "alarms notifications and ringtones" Place your files in the appropriate folder and it should work as needed.

bitpim will work. you will need a standard sanyo cable. < the same cable that works for the RL-4920

yep it was too new untill now. bitpim http://www.bitpim.org a free multiplatform program Window OSX and linux seems to work great. I used the sanyo cable I originally purchased with my scp-4900. convieniently it works on the RL4920 and the PM-8200.
I was able to upload the phone book, a calendar, midi files and wallpapers as well. though the only way I have been able to get qcp files is using the web.
