The phone has only been tested for up to a 2GB thats why you cant find any info on anything else. If you can find a Micro SD thats 4GB i dont see any reason why it wouldnt work.

Its not even Apples to Oranges...its Apples to Celery...I had the V3T and now use the Pearl. If your going to Pay the $20 extra for the internet and email on the pearl then it the best phone EVER. If not then stick with the V3T

Re: Does the Pearl offer Vibe and Ring ????????
Apr 24, 2007, 6:41 PM
in the BlackBerry Pearl 8100 forum

Yes it does allow for Vibe and ring. Go to Profiles from the main menu, scroll to the bottom and select advanced. Then select the profile that you want to edit, then phone, and the frst option will allow you set it to Vibe, tone , Vibe and tone or none. the voicemail notification is going to be the same as the SMS tone as far as i know. Unless someone else here knows better.

Its dirty from the dirt on your thumb. The only REAL way to clean it is to take the phone apart and rub it down with an alcohol swab. Its not that hard to get apart, but i wouldnt suggest it if you have never taken a phne apart before.

I dont. And none of my customers have complained about it either. Its possible you may have a defective device. Make sure you go through the profiles and pick a loud tone and set the volume up. If you've done that then contact customer care and they will switch it out for you.

You've gotta make sure you call customer service and have them put them "International Permissions" on your account if you dont already have it. Internet and phone work great there. Im not sure about the Maps part. didnt try it. I would imagine it works though.

Well of course. Im not going to argue with that. Im simply putting it out there for the people that wanna use the internet but dont read up on it or listen to there sales rep, and when they try and use it without the data plan it doesnt work and then they complain about it. Just got tired of people coming into my store complaining about it and then coming on here and reading about it as well...

I tell every customer i deal with that there is not point in buying the device without gettnig data. I flat out tell them im not going to sell it to them unless I add the data to the account. For the PDA's is DOES matter if you dont get the DATA. The phone does not work properly.

This only seems to require a passcode when youlock the keys or power cycle the phone. Not when you try and access the media card. Unless i did something wrong. Thanks anyway.

You cannot have 2 numbers on one SIM card. Aside from forwarding calls from one phone to your cell. But that still isnt technically 2 number on one phone. Nextel isnt technically GSM although they do use SIM cards.

I was wondering if its possible (and if it, how do you do it) to set a password to the media card. I want it so whenever you try and access it, it requires a password. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I'm tired of reading through all these threads from people that are having trouble with features on their blackberry. If you're not going to pay the extra money monthly for the data package for the blackberry (any Blackberry...not just the Pearl) Then don't buy the blackberry. Most features that access the network on a Blackberry REQUIRE the data plan ie: MMS, all IM, E-Mail, any type of internet browsing, T-Zones or Full Web. The only reason T-Zones is an ...

If you dont have the data plan then the icons wont appear. However they should be there if you have to data plan. AIM, YAHOO, MSN, and ICQ. Try turning off the wireless and thurning it back on. Or just pull off the battery. If that doesnt work you may need to reload the software. Or get on the phone with T-Mobile Tech support.

The Icon WILL NOT apear without the BB data plan. There is no way around it. You wont have internet or email options with out that feature. You can get a differant phone and use the tzones with it, but not the blackberry.

From what i understand, they are moving away from the wheel on the rght and moving to the center ball for the number of left handed customers that have a difficult time using the right handed wheel. They will come out with a simular device (as far as features are concerned) with the full keyboard. An upgrade to the 8700. I wouldn't look for the Wheel in future models though.

It cant be done...even if it could...you wouldnt be able to use it (aside from general phone service) with any other carrier...(maybe Fido in Canada) the phone is specifically designed for tmobile. the other carriers do not have the correct network support for it.

The only other way i know of is... if you wait for the battery to die and then plug it in it should turn on by itself... Try doing to hard reset...that may do it...I think the phone might need to be on already for that though...

Its a sidekick..unfortunitally..most people looking to buy this device are not very interested in that things that we would be interested in...They are in terested in owning it cause it "hot"...The second 50 cent..or..Snoop or Paris Hilton has one..everyone NEEDS it...Its crappy sales tactics...but it works great for selling something that is not worth half of what your selling it for. People will want it simply because its a "Sidekick"...They are all Sheep..

I agree. I'm a T-mo RSR in new england. I am glad that is has a better camera, Bluetooth, the larger internal memory plus the removable card. The Mp3 player is cool too. I am VERY happy to see that there is a removable battery now. However...A change to the OS would have been nice. I mean keeping the same basic layout is a good idea, so that way SK2 users aren't learning a whole new phone. But changing ...

The card you can get almost anywhere. I got one at Radio shack. They are also at Circuit city, and Best Buy. Really any store that sells computer stuff. Its called at Trans Flash mini SD. as far as MP3's, I bought a memory card reader from radio shack for $29.99+tax. I just stick the card in that and then jam the reader into an unused USB slot on my comp. It opens up a file folder and i ...

Revision: The Eighth is when we will have it in the store. The tenth is when we can acctually sell it...As far as price is concernd there is nothing that has been "officially" released...I would imagine it would be around $300-$350...maybe as high as $400...im sure there will be some rebates or something...through the store it should be available for upgrades the tenth...if you wanna upgrade through cust care...it might be a few days after that...

Sidekick 3 JULY 8TH!!!!!!!!
Jun 2, 2006, 9:27 AM

Most T-Mobile Corporate stores in the New England region are scheduled to launch the Sidekick 3 on July 8th. This is straight from upper management. I'm not sure about the rest of the country. However i would imagine that it would be launching around that time. I suppose there is a chance that this date may change. However that is the date as of right now.

Most of the stuff that you are asking about has to to with the coverage of the company your using in the area that you are using it in. I'm with T-Mobile and i live in Fairfield county, Ct. I have no issues where i use my phone. Everyone's expearience may vary. It all depends on where you are using it. But if i had to generalize it all to the phone...It works great!! I love it!!

I'll be honest with you. Breaking up has alot to do with coverage in general. however A phone can make a differance. I've sold around ten or so since the phone was launched and i havent had anyone come in with any complaints. That to me is always a good sign. In the short amount of time that i was testing the phone i didnt run into to any problems...seems so far to be a good phone.
