Big difference between units supporting different bands and said bands actually being deployed. We only have 1900mhz CDMA locally, not hopeful that 800/850 CDMA or LTE will be deployed anytime soon.

I will have to agree that the different experiences point to manufacturing issues. BTW, had the same issues - and more -when we tried AT&T's version. Their ptt system (at least on the Sonim units) is definitely not ready for prime time.

Sorry, our experience with the Strike is very much in line with the review: terrible sound quality - and volume is MUCH too low in even moderately noisy environments (Sonim is coming out with an add-on loudspeaker to remedy this shortcoming). ptt button is unbelievably small and very hard to push (no accidental chirping from this unit would be the upside) If you're going to use it indoors and only get 1900mhz CDMA, plan on getting an Airave, ...

Acually, the i402 & i502 WILL NOT roam digitally, hence the "PCS only" tag - at least not in my region. I have this from several tech/net people inside of "Sprextel". The idea was to offload voice traffic from the Nextel channel to the CDMA side especially in certain markets, not to offer a unique 2 network "we-have-it-all" solution that might actually gain marketshare .....

Same issues with earlier (BT 200) model on PPC-6700; static, 2 foot range BEWARE the Logitech Mobile Freedom on PPC-6700 : volume @ max is unacceaptably low anywhere but sitting in a quiet room. The worst part is you can't hear the phone ringing through the headset if there is any amount of moderate noise. No way to adjust on the phone, no ROM updates on the horizon to address this known 6700 issue (BTW this HS works well on ...
