Why would we pay for these apps when we can purchase a WM Phone?? Android is not that special to fork over $20.00 here $20.00 there, another $10.00 tomorrow. We will wait for the new HTC. Paid apps, give us a break from the nickel and dime dog and pony show.

Major, major, major move by T-Mobile, if they play this game well they will be in great position for the future. They also need more Windows Based Phones. The business/professional market is huge and they need to address the needs of this market segment.

Hmmmm... Why would someone fork over $8.00 when they can just have a MS Mobile Phone? 8 here 10 there 7 here it does begin to add up. I think it prudent to wait a few weeks, there are many windows phones coming to market.

What is so hard for Google to understand we do not want to deal with these paid apps for the Android???? We buy the phone, we pay for the service now they want us to pay for junk apps. Just load in Mobile 6.5 and leave us alone.

If Google is serious about listening than lets get with the sync feature with Outlook and forget about charging for the ability to do this. Also forget about letting 3rd party companies charging for the right for the consumer to transfer data from one phone to another. If you want to make money on selling 3rd Apps ok but at least come up with a app that is innovative and adds to the technology not charge for somthing (Like ...

Garbage is:  The QWERTY keyboard is a disappointment. The keys are small (even for a smartphone), slippery, and hard to press. Dialing a phone number is garbage. You have to slide the screen open and enter the number using the keyboard. (If you've already entered a contact into your address book, you can initiate a call with the phone closed.) Once the call is connected, you can close the phone--and to talk, you'll have to. This additional step ...

I am amazed that T mobile still messes with this garbage. I guess people must still buy this but the question is why? I never see anyone use one anymore and I travel more than I like, my 12 year old daughter told me no one in school uses it so who buys it? Yet, T mobile has a whole row in their inventory??? Maybe there is a big demand for it in "Rooster Poop Ark".

This is great news. I have only had the SDA for 2 weeks now however everyday I am more impressed with the functionality and quality of this device. I purchased the Dell X51V last November and I have had great success with the device as a strong contender for traveling w/o my notebook. This SDA almost seals the fate as it really covers a lot of ground for us who are mobile. HTC is most definitely the company to watch for ...

Let us hope they have addressed the quality of workmanship that was lacking in the Nokia 6101-6102 series. They should have recalled those chintzy units they sold to the consumer at inflated prices. When you look at the quality of the HTC - SDA's and MDA's and their price points, it is a shame on Nokia for what they laid on the consumer with those cheap devices.

China Mobile is looking to become a world player. Hooking up with T-mobile will allow them a world wide position. The move would allow both access to great markets. Both companies are well respected, have great products and are considered to have great customer service. Both companies are considered to be leaders on the technology curve.

There is very little memory and what there is is shared so if you have your addresss book and you load too many images there goes your address data. This is a very cheap phone. The only way I would take one if it was a give away with no contract. There are too many good options in the market place to mess with this chintzy phone.

It's time. Nokia needed to get away from the "FooFoo" design mentality made to become obsolescent in the sort turn and for kids. The Nokia 6101-02 etc models were chintzy and cheap in quality. The functionality and software were Nokia in strength but the phone quality was just plain cheap. I have been a Nokia loyal client since 1996 and I just moved to HTC after the issues with the 6101. I bought a 512 Mini SD II for $38.00 from Comp USA, you can also find on Tiger Direct. The 1G card retails for $75-85.00. I think with a 512 you will have the memory you need to accomplish most tasks. The nice thing about a 1G or 2G is the device becomes a real asset to carry data files with you. I carry contracts and data information for clients on my (2G) Dell X51V and just transfer to them during ...

Yes, it does wash out in direct sunlight. Turn your back and shield the screen, this will solve 1/2 of the issue. I have not seen a screen yet that does not wash out in direct sunlight, even note book monitors. This is the major issue we must live with for the time being when we come out into the light.

What Nokia makes in the 6101,02 and 03 is a phone with chintzy workmanship and cheap memory "and" they have the nerve to charge for it. At best this phone should be a freebie. Shame on Nokia for selling this phone to their loyal consumers.

The maim issue is the quality of the workmanship and construction has not changed. The unit is made of chintzy materials that do not stand up. Shame, shame on T-Mobile and Nokia for putting their name on the 6101, 6102 and the 6103 and having the nerve to charge for the unit. At best this line is a give away line. With the quality phones from Samsung, HTC and others out there Nokia had better pay attention to the details of workmanship ...

I looked at the face plate exchange as the one I have cracked in the cold weather by the hinge. The replacements are just as "chintzy" as the original so why bother. When the first 6101 went into the toilet the Gods were sending you a message, this is where they should all go. This has to be one of the most poorly constructed phones made. Shame on Nokia for putting their name on this phone.

Re: Price to upgrade

One of the issues T-mobile will have to address now is they have too many prices in the market place. Some of these phones, (many) they should just give away, the Nokia 6101 and 02 for example. When a company prostitutes it's products or services then where is the value? It is also very hard to restructure the pricing strategy. They need to draw a line and give away the cheap phones and price the emerging technology products appropriately. Nokia has cheapened most ...
