Actually talked to my fried who works for blackberry and every carrier is going to get a touchscreen blackberry. T-mob should be getting the flip phone and the touch screen, didn't ask him about the Jav.

Check out xilisoft, you can DL it for free by just googling it. I haven't used it in a while but there should be a free trial or if u pay a small fee you get the full version.

Most people on these blogs work or have worked for major carriers. I personally have worked for cingular during the ATT/cingular merger and T-mobile's purchase of cingular/att's 1900 network. The map you showed in 2002 was before the purchase of the 1900 network so in no way is it close to accurate.

THe map u have is a little outdated. If you look at the link, it's made in 2002. That's 4 years ago. T-mobile has come a long ways, at least in cali, sicne then. I will be the fist to admit that t-mobile is lacking in reception since I am a t-mobile employee and know a lot of info about the company bvut at least get an updated coverage map. The map on t-mobile.com is not even updated to ...

Bold statement, have anything to back it up with? T-mobiles major band is 1900, the 850 in other areas are roaming agreements with other companies. T-mobile purchased cingular/ATT 1900 network from them during the merger so what facts do u have to provide that t-mobile's network is 65% owned by cingular/att?

Hmmm. I don't really have an answer to your problem. I would put your sim card in a diff phone to decifer if the problem lies within your phone or sim/network. If it happenson a diff phone contact your nearest tmobile/cingular store and have them do further trouble shooting. If the problem lies with your phone contact nokia's tech support. Sorr about delayed response, did not check n73 forums in a while

Interesting that 99% of people do not realize why there even is a ETF. If a phone company ever stopped doing ETFs... just imagine the churn rate whenever a customer gets mad about an overage on their bill. No more free phones... come on now, never will happen

joE, there is no way that I have figured out t add a P or W but in order to lock the phone go to: menu -> tools -> settings -> Security -> phone and sim and u can set a pin code request whenever you turn the phone on/off or if the phone is left idle for a set amount of time.

You're 100% correct! I guess having a new sidekick that can actually use myfaves means nothing to a company that is pushing that direction. I feel sorry for those people who work in areas where camera's aren't permitted and actually want a sidekick. I guess there are no kids or business users out there who don't need mp3s, or deff people who don't need the bluetooth. Sorry I even questioned your knowledge. Nope, you do not know what you are talking about. T-mobile has already updated their employees when this device will be ready for launch and that we will be carrying it. Oh, and it is "exclusive" to T-mobile.

They are updating the software on it so you can use myfaves "more effectively". Stripping off the extra features for those who dont want them. Haven't heard anything about the looks changing yet.

Re: Dash or Blackberry 8700G?
Nov 21, 2006, 12:54 PM
in the HTC Dash / S620 / S621 (Excalibur) forum

Since you seem more concerned with the PDA functions I would suggest the Dash, if you were my customer. You can have your corp e-mail pushed to your phone just like the BB and it has a camera/video/WMP as well. I have the dash and i am very satisfed with it. Only dowside is the device has a hard time picking up the network if it ever loses it.

Re: ok ppl who own the dash....

it's just because of the sensor for volume. Go into the menu and turn the in call valume control off and this will solve your problem. Mine no longer lights up while it's sitting on my desk after I turned mine off

I had both, ended up switching to the dash for the full keyboard. They are both VERY similar but it mainly depends on which OS/size you prefer. If you did not need the full keyboard or wifi i'd say go with the BB.

Short answer, No. The device will play the selected ring tone untill the whole song finishes. If you want it to be shorter just modify it to be 3 seconds or so.

Data plans do suck but T-mo offers best pricing on them. 29.99/month for unlimited internet anywhere T-moible offers reception plus the ability to use it as a modem for a laptop. $29.99 doesn't sound THAT bad. And your $6 T-zones plan does work on windows mobile phones... you just need to configure the internet settings, at least it did on the SDA.

Phones generally support 3gp format which isn't the best quality but gets the job done. I do not know for sure if this supports mp4 since i only used a RAZR for a short time about 2 years ago.

Not a T-mobile fan, just a t-mobile sales rep. Doesn't make it easly to sell phones when 50% of your customers don't get reception at their house.

Re: Not Greedy

You must not have ever sold a phone in your life if you don't love this idea. In the area I sell phones there are plenty of dead spots because of hills and lack of towers in new areas. This service will gives customers, who previosly could never use a cell phone at their house, full reception and unlimited minutes. 69.99/month for 600minutes, unlimited nights, weekends, MyFaves, and unlimited calling while cnnected to hotspot?

They had to push back the launch of the phone because of an error on the box. The phone was stated to have a "1.3mp with flash" when in reality, it just has a 1.3 mp no flash.

I completely agree eric. From what i've heard from customers that used the Q, it was a great phone but they would mainly talk about it's minor flaws. I've been showing customers my dash and everyone is impressed and can't wait till they launch. (now they have to wait a couple more days since they apparently printed on the box this phone had a flash camera)

19.99 BB add on can be added to ay smart access plan. The full internet add on or sidekick are currently not available for smart access customers. Just pay the $250 deposit to be taken off smart access if you don't want the spending limit.

I'd wait untill the "dash" comes out on the 19th. HTC full qwerty keyboard. Push e-mail technology and full web browsing. Looks like a smalls version of the BB 8700.

Cruiser1, You can add the 19.99 BB plan to any smart access plan, Individual or family. You do not need to be on 29.99. The 19.99 internet plan (no longer available in my market) needed to be on the 29.99 or lower.

Re: pearl with smart axcess
Sep 28, 2006, 9:45 PM

KnightBang, The 39.99 BB plan is the stand alone data with no calling plan with it. From what I read, they wanted to have a calling plan with the BB feature added onto it.

Re: pearl with smart axcess
Sep 28, 2006, 9:39 PM
in the BlackBerry Pearl 8100 forum

There used to be a 19.99 internet add on that smart access customer could only get if they had the 29.99 basic plan for. 29.99 + 19.99 = 49.98. But the BB add on can be added to a 49.99 plan. Tmobile direct dealer here also.

Re: pearl with smart axcess
Sep 27, 2006, 1:14 PM
in the BlackBerry Pearl 8100 forum

The only restrictions to a smart access customer are: 1. spending limit 150 2. No sidekick add on, (can use sidekick with the unlimited text package tho) 3. No base rate plan over 49.99 (certain rate plans have exceptions) Blackberry add on feature will work fine, people are prob jsut confusing that with the sidekick add on.
