Verizon Blackmail or Extortion?

I have had Verizon w/ Unlimited Data for years, they have refused the upgrades they offered to other users and now they are telling me I have to pay $20.00 more per line (2 lines) to keep my existing contract with unlimited data. This apparently takes effect 1-1-2016. Is this legal? Is this Blackmail or Extortion? I need a lawyer to tell me if i have a case.
