Perfect Comeback Kid scenario for both HTC and webOS

If that were to happen that would absolutely be kickass. I have used all of the OSes and can vouch the only real contender is webOS. An HTC or Samsung product with webOS would give android a run for its money because it is polished and clean as iOS and has none of the legal baggage like android. Don't get me wrong I loved my iPhone (had to leave ATT, currently on Sprint), I would still be with my ...

This is in response to this post as well as other recent postings. The wing can be improved upon. There are software hacks out there to improve it and if you want to go to the extreme you can replace the OS completely with a modified version. Skype is great on the Wing with Wifi You just have to tweak your wifi and skype settings. iSkoot would be an OK option but it involves extra little charges that wouldn't ...

I would give you the rate but I think it would be a moot point. 8O I just recently introduced toa friend of mine and when registration didnt work I called them up. Turns out they didnt get a big turn out on the consumer side. Since I believe they were first available to blackberry users tey had a larger corporate installed user base. They no longer offer consumer accounts but maintian what they have. ...

Here is a link for everyone if you know how to read it then you'll know what this phone, the 6263, is capable of (I do) 8O . I will be 3G and do HTML but no java script and no frames but it will do table when browsing and it has a pretty good bluetooth profile set, still S40 but at least it is a beggining, Its also capable of streaming video (when ever t-mobile decides to offer ...

I may be wrong but isnt the PC suite from Nokia fully functioning only for windows, I believe the mac version only supports media and maybe some pim functions. Any driver necessary are usually windows drivers (macs usually configure themselves, ah intelligence). He can follow thse steps if he were running Virtual PC(PPC) or Parallels/VMware(intel) and use windows in an emulated enviroment or if he had a regular PC. :?

That may be true but t-mobile doesnt currently offer any SE phones, and the original poster was looking for something relatively cheap. I only offered the selection I presented because he may eventually need more functionality later on (it always happens) 8O

That may be the cheapest but the easiest are the WM phone (wing, dash, shadow). they have a built in program thats called internet share and it gives you the option between USB (not really an option unless you have the latest missing sync) and Bluetooth. The bluetooth options sets up a PAN mode which if your already paired, you should be able to connect to it and go online in less than 30seconds. Now there performance varies from ...

If you insert it with the track ball in the "trackline" you 'll notice that the camera and flash are perfectly covered in the back and the dip reveals the blackberry branding on back of the curve while showing the branding inthe front at the same time. Makes sense right? Good design, on my part with it in my pocket this is the first phone of any kind that I haven't dropped, I like the concept. :D

Sorry no Skype as of yet if your looking for a cheap calling method try MINO wireless. They're VOIP but the last part of the connection is cellular, I call Mexicco all the time and they charge like .2 a minute I regularly get 500 or more min for every 10 i spent, its a simple java program and you can dial straight rom you address book without opening the program or adding your address book to the application. ...

No clip its just simply a pocket case. And the portion that appears to be slot for a belt is actually a raised pathway to give the trackball space to breath. :D

DO a trial of missing Sync look for the latest beta, it should be WM6 compatible. Thats how I did it with my dash and mac I think there other solutions albeit very few for WM6 but Missing Sync is the best option (you can even share internet tru usb if you dont have/ want to use BT) :) .

If you go to to your connection manager and the select service status it will tell you if your BIS or BES is connected thru wifi. Well here we go if you must have office editing capability hands down over the dash anyday. Some formatting may be lost on large and highly formatted docs if edited on the wing, viewing is just fine. You can use wifi without a data plan just dont expect to be able to login at tmobile hotspots. It has its own host of IM clients that you can use, but all require data usage. gmail thru WM6's email set up can work ...

You cant Vcast type stuff yet metro is getting it soon. As far as amped vs Metro its more of a "do you travel more than stay home or stay home more than you travel. Weigh out the differences, but remember metro has no contracts. :)

its avaialable you just have to have money in your account it ranges anywhere from .49 to .79 a minute depending what part of the US. it may seem much but its betterr thatn paying 10.00 for a couple of minutes(it use to be like that) and it should get better with time. I wish they would train these people better. Metro is found in San Jose San Fran detroit dallas atalnta central florida down south, soon to be ...

:( Can't tell you exaclty, I checked in Tampa and in miami and it varies the answer I've been given is that it varies (DOE); it has to be somewhat competitive otherwise people wouldn't apply. Its all very simple answer questions (dont have to worry about plans or contracts) charge, and activate (Putting it very simply). Drop a message.

Sometimes its due to an "agreement" with the manufacturers to have excluvisity (if thats a word) for a period of time then there realesed to those interested. Plus remember Metro (Its small) only has 1% of the customers in the US so they wouldn't want to invest in a product thats not going to sell. Money spent in testing acquireing and possible software altering. I just hope they come out with the wirelss data and just the stupid games ...

believe me it will happen they,ve already upgraded their pix system for any new phones coming. and they already have hired techs in that area possibly service by late 06 early 07. People dont want to worry about how many minutes they and with the new roaming feature (yes its a per min charge, but do you really talk that much when you travel)?

Why dont they have the 6250i and metro does? all the features except EV-Do ( which isnt everything its cracked up to be unless something happens in battery technology because the service sucks to much energy. ...

TO address the other posts on this thread, no phone is perfect, the RAZR is strictly GSM not compatible with Metro (other then the Verizon wireless version(dont bother with it its using the crappy verizon GUI)), and finally to confirm-- Metro is getting the RAZR beggining to Mid Feb. Hopefully it'll have some upgrades like an MP3 player. Its not that the RAZR is the best phone in the world but its to offer some variety and you got ...
