I see nothing except the gesture feature that is any improvement over the w300.. and the gesture seems to be a gimmick more than anything else. /;|

i have had no problems with my 6515 other than minor adjustments coming from a smartphone 2003 powered phone. I usually get 2 full days use from my battery unless i am using my wi-fi MiniSD card a LOT or using the GPS extensively. I thought TMo was using the 6315 which is a horrible phone! This phone is made by HTC and is NOTHING like the 6315 that TMo sells. Have you tried the 6510/6515 extended battery? ...

I would say more of a 50's flashback... The 80's broke this up and stimulated competition ie. lower prices, more choices and innovation. I hope this doesnt give us another "walmart is coming to town" situation.

i wouldnt recommend buying knock-offs, particularly the chinese ones you find on ebay. There have been many instances of these knock-offs overheating and exploding, even while in peoples pockets.

gee, thats tough, it depends on what you need. Both phones are GREAT the 8125 has wi-fi built in and WM5 on a non-volatile system so there is less danger of losing data although i have had no problem with the 6515. the 6515 (my personal pick) has GPS and most important for me, 2 expansion slots. 1 SD, 1 MiniSD. I have a 4GB transcend SD card and a 2GB Tecic MiniSD card. I ...

DO NOT do the last suggestion!!!!!!!! The memory the OS is on is volatile! if the backup battery runs dead, you will lose all of the data on your phone. put the phone in aircraft mode and hit the power button... thats as close as you will get. The new WM5 devices do not use this method of storage so you will be able to turn those off.

gps is not on this phone. it is available on the 6700, the HP ipaq 6515 and the soon to be released HP iPAQ 6915 (same as 6515 minus SDIO slot but With WM5 and WiFi) There are so many new devices coming out right now I'd advise anyone to wait until spring or even summer if you can to give some potential bugs time to be ironed out.

I could see that being ALMOST possible... Maybe make a MiniSDIO HDD controller and appropriate power source. I am sure windows would see it with proper driver. It would make the HD removable and external which has its' potential. Imagine moving large volumes of files to it through your PCs card reader. I could see this happening quickly if there is a demand for it. I am only speaking in theory but i can see ...

i am NOT impressed since the old Cingular east coast system before the merger. The customer service when i traveled west a couple of years ago sucked! make sure in setup or options where the program like delorme 2006 wants to know where to find the GPS that you have it installed on COM7 which will point to your internal GPS. next make sure you have a map in a directory that your map program can find. I put mine in the root of my SD card NOT a subfolder.

I am sure the lower price will filter down to the ultimate consumer to varying degrees. This is just a move by Symbian to preserve market share because they are being 'owned' by Microsoft. Just look at the new phones that are the "Must Have" items.

actually there are models 6515 - 6515h (I think) The hardware is the same, the letter indicates the country/region where it is sold. In the US, it is the 6515a... The newest model is the Cingular that has the 1.12 firmware. I hope this helps.
