There is going to be a new more expensive data plan specific to the iphone. apple gets to decide what it will be. also, you will have to sign a two year contract on the phone AND THE DATA PLAN. if you change the data plan, att will cancel the acct and BAM! you have an early termination fee!

Right now, it is available in the UK, and a North American version is supposed to be out this Autumn. More than likely, bc it's a GSM model, AT&T will get it. Check out pcmag.com for an article about it, and I think cnet has one, too.

The V has been out for about 9 months now. I would assume that if VZW was going to make it a Vcast Music phone, they would have by now. But, regardless of that, you can still put mp3s on it. It wasn't anything that you did to cause your porting problems. I sell Verizon Wireless, and most everytime I port a number over from Nextel, some sort of problem occurs. I have talked to Nextel reps for customers a few times, and my experience is that they are just rude and everything else a customer service rep should NOT be. So, dont feel bad.

I wasn't saying that anyone said anything that wasn't true about the service, I was simply stating that if someone isn't sure about the Vcast music service, they should just go to a store and talk to someone that sat through a 5 hour training on the subject instead of browsing the inet and reading things from a random person. That way, no one will be confused.

First of all, you need to have one of the 3 available VCAST Music phones to be able to access the service. Those are the Samsung a950, LG 8100 (if you purchased these models before 01/16/05, you need to take it to a VZW Corporate Store in order to get it upgraded for free.), and teh CDM 8945, when it is released. The LG 9800/the V will also have the Music option, but not quite yet. The OTA option ...
