Re: Rollover Minutes
Nov 23, 2005, 8:16 PM
in the Nokia 6682 / 6681 forum

Cingular has released a new rollover policy that allows them to reduce your rollover minutes to whatever the amount of daytime minutes on the new plan are. So say that you have 3000 rollover minutes and you switch to a plan with 700 daytime minutes, then you will only carry over 700 of the rollover minutes. These minutes are on every bill and you should keep track just in case. Any discretion can be fixed by ...

PTT is not going to be available with this phone. Only the 6681, and not the 6682. The 6681 is the Euro model that does have PTT but in comming to America we traded that for the shiney little stainless steel trim on the side. Just a lil more info, the 6680 actually has 2 cameras. 1 for normal use, and one for pimped out video confrences. -Danny-

Ive had trouble as well with some blue tooth products. One I had was the little blue and silver moto headset 850???? I think. This would constantly break the bluetooth contact and the voice dialing never worked. Then I got the black berry headset, not sure about model number but its black and goes over the ear with protruding mic. This one I had the same prob with the voice dial. Now I use ...

Could anyone recomend a good holster case with some type of clasp or snap to hold the phone in. I would prefer vertical but im not that picky. I just need something that wont slide out as easy as the universal leather holster I got with the phone. It worked for awhile but now its stretched out and has been responsible for *almost* losing or leaving my phone tons of places. I would really like some ...

Well on that note i did add insurance to my phone today, not to say they will honor it but i will take your advice. (I dropped my phone twice this weekend in a drunken stuper and want a new one once it gets too banged up.) Thats just the training cingular paid for talken before about what lockline will or will not insure. Honestly I do not think cingular knows as any mention of lockline to ...

Sounds like an issue with the actual card or perhaps something is even inside the card slot like pocket lent or something. Mine wouldn't read the card a few days ago and I just sprayed some air duster in there that I use for my keyboard and it hasn't come up since. Sort of like blowing in the old school nintendo games LOL. Hope this helps you out. -Danny-

Really is it that big of a deal that the camera activates and unlocks the keys TEMPORARELY until it slides closed? I mean would u like to activate the camera, but not unlock the keys? What kind of sense would that make? You could just become the CEO of nokia that way you can make a phone exactly for you in every way, and then listen to other people bitch about little things that you like. ...

Fisrt off lockline does not insure any smart phone or pda. Smart phones are basicly phones with secondary operating systems such as symbian or windows mobile. Therefore paying 3.99 a month is throwing your money down the toliet, and not the phone. When you do lose your phone you will be re-imbursed with the insurance fees, but that doesnt help. I would insure any phone over $200 in worth and nothing below that because insurance is a ...

The number to cingular's porting department is 1-888-898-7685. However if you are an existing AT&T you need to migrate your number and not port it, so it is a different. I would suggest calling them before anything to make sure you are able to migrate or port your number over. Especially if your number is on business cards or signifacant in some other way. Cingular migrations number is 1-877-901-9521 Option 2. Hope this resloves your ...

Good luck on that one. You see, stores are very limited to their quantities of phones they carry, especially high end models, by actual inventory space and overhead charges. Calling cingular *Customer Care* from month to month would be the best way to check if the phone is available yet, because they ship from a large wherehouse and are usually the first to get the items in stock. Instead of checking in with franchise kiosks who just re-sll ...

I have the nokia 6682 through Cingular wireless, and I have not experienced any voicemail, voice dialing, or power cycling issues that have been reported by other users. One down side to the phone is that the software pre-loaded on the phone is all trials or contain usage fees. Don't hold your breath for the phone to come back, just get the audiovox 5600 now on sale at the cingular website for an unbelievable price of just ...

This is a deccent phone, with calling features that will keep parents from wanting to kill their kids when they recieve an outrageous cell phone bill. They can program up to 20 numbers and have the designated mom and dad buttons with only Cingular phones on them so that they would never use even a single min. because of free mobile to mobile. It is lacking a GPRS navigational system to locate missing or kidnapped children. ...

My 6682 is very well balanced phone suprisingly. Fits fine in my hands and the keys are ribbed so it is easy to distinguish where one key ends and the next begins. The weight of the phone makes it feel durable and not cheap.

I think you can program the phone to enable its active desktop, which will display all calender entries for that day on the screen at all times.
