the problem is that they suck............ flat out. only onw i would consider buying is the CU500 or the z525. Only reason to get the z525 is for PTT. The 6102 series is crappy, feels like crap in your hands. All the other phones just suck.

actually, your wrong. the 2100Mhz band is up for auction but it's being paired w/ the 1700Mhz band. Therefore, phone manufacturers would have to create a radio that would work on all 5 UMTS bands (Europe will begin using the 900Mhz band for 3G in rural areas).

B/c you cant control someone sending you a txt message. Cingular charges you even for the ones they send. T-mobile only charges for outgoing messages.

I think thats all i needed to kno. Theres nothing to license from MS b/c the whole system is a 1 to 1 connection. Only thing needed is bandwidth. I appreciate it tho

no no no, you miss understood the question. I was not refering to MEdianet. Cingular lists 2 data plans on it's site one is $45/mo. and its called Data Connect which can be attached to an new or existing plan. the other is $50 that is called PDA connect w/ Microsoft Direct Push and is in the business section of the site. Would cingular force me to use the $50/mo. plan or will they allow me to use the ...

yea but the problem w/ the spectrum is that the phones would have to have a special AWS 2100 band developed specifically for t-mobile. Which would take forever.

The TyTN and Hermes are the same thing. T-Mobile in europe needs to whip T-Mobile USA into shape so it can upgrade the network and actually compete w/ cingular & verizon

Hello, i've had T-mobile for about 4 months now and i love it so far. But as i look toward the future i'm a bit puzzled. T-mobile is lagging in upgrades: Cingular, Sprint, Verizon, etc. have all updated their own versions of the HTC Wizard with the MSFP. Its killing me that I cant get a repsonse out of a t-mobile rep about this at all. Does anyone have an idea when they will be releasing this? Cingular is going ...

hello, i'm about to buy a cingular 8125 with MSFP with a data plan. My question is can Direct Push run over the unlimited data connect plan or am i forced to get the PDA Connect w/ Microsoft Direct Push data plan?

The Q is flawed and has been delayed for a while. The treo may come when theres a HSDPA verson ready. Be on the look out for the HTC Hermes coming to cingular in the fall

Obviously quality, not quantity. and the L7 isnt even that good. 100 song cap and no Edge, released about a year too late.

I hope they change their txt plan, i know people a going to reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaalllllly take advantage of T-mobile's unlimited txt add-on for everyone on their family plans. I hope they do something similar and make ptt free (all it is is mobile to mobile so why charge).

Cingulars 3G & HSDPA network uses their existing 850Mhz and 1900 Mhz frequencies. New technology, same bands.

Most phones are capable of using Kodiak, and its software on the phones and specialized hardware on the cingular side.

Houston We have trolls, if u dont like cingular than top your crying and switch. And 3G will have handsets very soon. Just doesnt make sense to do it when HSDPA phones are just now being announced. Also, you cant blame cingular if 850Mhz phones are just now coming out

i sssssssssssssssssseriously doubt it, expect Feb-March time frame if not later. And cingular messes up again.......first 3g phones will be made by samsung & lg (prolly wont support ptt), dunno about any makers bringing out a UMTS phone anytime soon

Tmobile has spectrum, they have been buying up chunks of the 850Mhz spectrum. I seriously doubt the 2100Mhz band will be opened up in the US. The
