How does it compare ...
... to the grandfathered Unlimited?
I'm currently still using the grandfathered Unlimited... this new plan would be less expensive, but would I be losing anything if I switched???
Re: who cares
Not that has ever affected me, nor probably 99% of people.
who cares
they're kinda a late comer to this business.
Spotify is $10/mo too... so what does Apple bring us that doesn't already exist? besides a service for sycophants?
Re: For it, then against it...
No Liberty-minded R was ever for it... nor should they be.

Re: We Live In America
"I would like to see government grants to smaller cell phone carriers"
I would much rather like to NOT see my money sent to subsidize bad business ventures. Leave that to the independent investors (like you, if you're so passionate about this cause).
Re: We Live In America
If you don't like Verizon's coverage, then switch carriers.
You have no right to FORCE or MANDATE any company to do something special just for you.
Retaliation for not helping the FCC with net "neutrality"
This is politics.
Do not forget that the FCC is a POLITICAL machine, run by control freaks.
This is retaliation for VZW standing up the the FCC. Make no mistake.
Throttled is still unlimited
This is a bunch of crap.
Carriers should be allowed to throttle if they feel they need to in order to keep enough bandwidth open for all their customers. The cable companies do this.
This throttling shouldn't be a surprise if people actually read their service agreements.
Are they not getting unlimited data? just a little slower?
Why is it TracFone's fault people don't read?
Re: Forget you At&t
You're not thinking thru this. Or you're only thinking based on your emotions.
An ISP has every right to offer different plans at different rates. You have every choice to choose one or go to another provider.
An ISP has every right to throttle high-usage customers (as long as that user is aware of the arrangement), in order for that ISP to manage traffic to provide ALL their customers with a usable network.
Unless you understand the network usage/bandwidth needs, ...
Re: For the first time
More regulation and a larger government hardly ever helps. It just opens the door for corruption and govt-sanctioned monopolistic behavior.
Dont give in to the emotional, empty arguments made by people that just want political control.
Re: Forget you At&t
I think both of you are far off-base.
More regulation and a more intrusive government won't help. It rarely does. It will only serve to shut down consumer options.
Still doesn't prevent snooping
While data ON the phone might be encrypted, any data stored in the "cloud" is still unprotected. And this still allows the "cloud" providers (Google) to snoop all they want.
GMail is not encrypted. Google has no interest in really protecting your privacy, because they need/want to snoop. Its how they sell advertising.
It is unfortunate, because Google could really push email encryption into the mainstream if they wanted. And I really wish they did.
People's Republic of CA
Supposedly looking out for the little guy is just going to cost the little guy more money... either in technical implementation or to cover the penalty.
Where is John Galt already?
Re: Bout Time
Only problem is you can only Shuffle an album.
Still can't listen to any song on-demand.
And can't play a playlist or album in order.
:/
Notification LED?
Does this have a notification LED?
I've read that early non-US versions of this phone lacked the LED indicator... but was hoping they added it back for the US version.
Can anyone confirm either way?
What about the notification light?
I heard this phone doesn't have one. Is that true?
If so, that detail should definitely be stated in the review.
Rev 0? really?
is this really still rev 0? i've seen elsewhere that its rev a... but can't find any real confirmation...
anyone have a good source on this?
txt msg full ???
i have 86 txt msgs in my inbox... and my phone is now telling me that its 86% full...
so i can only have 100 msgs???
anyone else getting this?

power cycle = just turn it off and back on
Re: switching to/from vibrate mode??
crap, thats almost a deal breaker for me...
switching to/from vibrate mode??
is there an easy way to switch in and out of vibrate mode like on the v325 where you can just hit the side buttons when closed?
or do you just have to open the phone and go volume all the way up or down?
to me its unacceptable if there isn't a quick way of switching...
anyone know anything about this?
Re: Verizon is so FULL OF BS
hrm. has anyone sucessfully purchased this phone? or seen it in any of the stores?
i haven't had a chance to drop by my local VZW place yet, but we had a rep from VZW come into work yesterday to try to sell phones... but he didn't have any V325 stuff (at least not that i saw).
Re: V325 is now on VZW Official Site
everything i've seen says the V325 is trimode
V325 is now on VZW Official Site
check it. its now out for general consumption.
i can't wait to hear a real review of the phone. so someone get on that.
Re: What happen to the original look?

This is a very good phone. Great Display, Camera, and Call Quality. Small compact phone the rubber that surrounds the phone makes it feel sturdy, If you are looking for just a basic camera phone with some cool option this is it. It lets you add fun frames after the pic is taken, also you can crop and rotate pictures and add graphics to pictures on the phone which is cool. I have been testing this phone for ...
