Re: 6255i vs 6335??

I think the 6235i is lacking bluetooth. I am not 100% on that though because i don't sell it yet.

if brew is working, use it to set up an account on pictivision and follow the instructions that it gives you. you can set up an album on a computer and use brew to grab them off of that account and onto your phone. your service provider can give you detailed instructions on doing this.

is it possible to have blue keys? yes. but don't do it. if you find the exact same led's with the exact same resistance and stuff you could solder them on, but don't do it. Also, nope. it can't be modded into a flashlight. surefire makes some darn good flashlights!

it won't be in the settings. it is the way it is and there is no changing it. I see if it works when the phone is in silent mode OR change teh soft setting to no ring tone but alarms on and try that. if that works, you chould just put your phone on soft when you go to bed and put it on loud when you wake up. whatever you do, test it ...

i would check with your provider about this. sounds like a software problem.

san disc rs-mmc cards work good. they have the smaller profile needed to fit into the phone. it distinctly says "mobile" on the package.

Too lazy to read the other responses so i will just let you know what i know. The phone shouldn't get warm. If your company has a repair center have them look at the phone to make sure it is okay. the hinge is kinda floppy cause there is alot of junk crammed into the front flap. it is crackly and squeaky on all that i have handled and i have handled about 200 of them. i sell ...

I asked nokia what the resistance on their standard led's was and it took them a month and a half to tell me they couldn't tell me. the were nice about it tho-

Midwest wireless has been selling this phone for about 4 months. It's great. Kinda quirky (as you can tell from the above posts) but works where other phones wont. These phones are easy to sell and don't get returned very often.

I have been trained that bars don't matter. With CDMA, one bar is just as good as five. I have found this to be true with most cdma phones i have dealt with.

Re: Anyone notice some weird things about this phone?
Oct 8, 2005, 5:07 PM
in the Nokia 6255i / 6256i forum

Yup. Updates will fix it right up. The girlfriend caller id thing is really werid because it shouldnt have recognized the number. the number shouldn't have been sent out with the call. weird. the ringer going off on silent has to do with te profile. there is a ringer-id on/off option. make sure it is off in the silent profile. hope this helps.

when they are in a call, make sure the word on the bottom right of the screen is "mute". this shows that the phone is "un-muted". if you were to push the key below the word, it would activate whatever the word is. example... pushing the upper right key (the one below the lower right corner of the screen) when "mute" is written in that space, will put the phone on mute mode, similar to hold where ...

The unlock code is the last four digits of your phone number, but i don't think that you are looking for the unlock code.

Nope, vibrate the way it is, or not at all. the default tones are menu-->my media (#7) --> Music (#2) --> there they are. the ones you downloaded are first, followed by the ones that came on the phone when it was new.

Re: TEXT TO SPEACH
Oct 8, 2005, 4:34 PM
in the LG V VX-9800 forum

I am almost positive that the text to speech was a by-product of another feature on the phone. As far as i know the voice dial program only needed a couple extra lines of code to create a text to speech type program. it was probably created on a whim with the creator knowing that the product would find its niche, and it looks like it all worked out fine. I am not positive on this ...

Re: How do i do custom ringtones?
Oct 8, 2005, 4:14 PM
in the LG V VX-9800 forum

The old 6000's would only let you assign a recorded sound as a ring tone if the tone was in your mms inbox or outbox. Take a pic of whatever and add a sound to it. Then send it to a random number but don't let it complete, hang up on it so it fails to send. when it asks you if you want to save to outbox, choose yes. You can then play the ...

is there an option to center or stretch the image? it would be in the outer display settings by where you chose the pic you want to put there. On motos you can choose center or stretch/fit to screen. try that.
