that's because radar detectors are scams, they don't work. By the time they "detect" the radar (most agency's use LIDAR anyway) your speed is already known. And even if you dont get "stopped" chances are by hearing your detector 'beep', you've slowed down anyway so problem solved.

Legally speaking the Supreme Court has help that DUI checkpoints are legal. And yes driving is a right as is free travel.
However you just proved my point, travelling is a right, so if you dont like DUI checkpoints, you ca walk. No one will stop you from walking.

I have my blackberry bold, and I love it, however I am not a big corporate user, and I miss some of the playful features of the Iphone. Nokia Maps on E71
I am using Nokia Maps on my unlocked e71, it gives me the option to turn off the internet, but I can still use the application w/GPS function. Does this use data since I have turned the internet off?

Nope, no changes to my account. Didnt' even need my accout number. just paid the no contract price (549), and that was it. Really pretty easy, and impressed with Best Buy.

I wanted to buy the bold contract free but the COR att store said they wouldn't. So I went to best buy and they priced matched ATT and I got my bold today!!

Are you kidding me? First, Blackberry's are not a status symbol to me. I many different phones, ranging from Window's mobile to basic 'dumb phones.' All of which provide differnt things that I like.
Secondly, blackberry's are not that expensive, and in some cases less expensive that so call 'dumb phones' so I am not saving any money buy getting them.

I am afraid you have been misinformed. The FAN discount does not apply to the Iphone. When you view your account online it will still show you FAN number but the discount wont be applied.

alright, I am not hating on verizon but both At&t and T-mobile allow you to have a blackberry with out the blackberry plan.
I use a blackberry without the data package because i like the complete calendar and phone book data. I also like the option of being able to use the data in the future. i dont believe a company should 'force' anyone to use any feature.

if i have a blackberry and it pushes my email from my yahoo account, will it also push the calendar items as well? Or does that only work with enterprise servers?

Well I would have to say that depending on where you are in the country reflects how good your verizon network is.....I live here in Colorado and you couldnt pay me to be on verizons network....dropped calls, poor reception goes hand in hand when talking about verizon here.

There is actually a really easy work around to getting your own customized ringtones on the iphone for free....without jail breaking it.
All you have to do is convert the file extenison from .mp4 to .mpr and there you go, your own free ringtone.
