I got an order confirmation with item #64658 for the c417, and #71234 for the SIM card... I've heard rumors of incompatible SIM cards with this phone... is this the proper SIM for this phone?

Samsung C417 branding?
I was looking at the samsung c417, and noticed on the website that the c417 has at&t branding, as opposed to most of the listed phones, which still have cingular logos. does this mean that if I were to purchase it, it would come with at&t logos? has anyone purchased one over the past few days that could let me know? I'd like to get this phone, but I'd prefer having the at&t branding... thanks
Re: What does letter "G" mean?
The G is visible when the phone detects the presence of a GPRS signal. This means your phone is telling you that you can connect to the internet at that time. Think of it as a modem light indicator... without that G, you can't download ringtones, etc. It's just another signal indicator, except instead of bars, you either have service or you don't. Expect to see the G when you have a higher amount of bars.

Re: wal-ringtone thing with cingular?????!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
I have a Samsung x497 and when I try the walmart technique, I get a message that says "Content Too Large For Download". Any way around this?
Re: Anyway I could permanently leave the front-screen-back-light on?
I don't believe there is a way to leave it on (it would sap battery life anyway), but I found out from another site that there is a way to activate the external display backlight without opening the phone. On the left side of the phone is the black volume rocker... you know how holding the "Down" part of it silences the phone when closed? Well, if you hold the "Up" part of the volume rocker with the phone ...
