refurbished phones
I feel fairly good that quality wise they are OK but how clean are they?
If say you have Monk [the character] like issues, [and you know how a phone might get...]
Do these get "cleaned" at all?
thanks,
dave
Re: My Memory
Turning my phone off once per week has helped my memory issues.
Re: N75 media player
Well, it's got real player, and flash...
think it'll play mp4 as well
Re: So what is the deal with debranding???
Honestly i have been very happy with this phone.\
My only complaint is that the battery life is short, but i can get a couple of days out of it.
It seems that most of the newer phones don't last too long anyways. My wife and daughters Sync's don't last very long either. I have a car charger, a charger at home and at work, so I've never been caught dead. My "heard of" complaint is that it was ...
AT&T Free Software Update???
I got tired of waiting for the "pushed" (?) updated so i went to the > settings > Dev. mgr
options
Check for updates, and just got an update!
it's not the nokia update and it's only
version 10.1.282
I've not checked what this new version will do, but it's out there....
Re: AT&T Free Software Update??
OK I and my friend just got that message yesterday.
Any one "get" the software yet?
Re: Mysterious Text Messages
OK I and my friend just got that message yesterday.
Any one "get" the software yet?
Re: Buyer Beware!
agreed
tho as just a phone, it has better reception than my families sync's
the only real problem there is the short battery time.
Re: Made ringtones too big for phone
I also use Audacity I do think 30 seconds is too long, i think i usually keep it 15 to 20 seconds.
Re: firmware updates??
:D NOW we are talking! to bad we have to wait, but thanks!
keep us informed,
dave
Re: firmware updates??
I know this has been discussed [ad nauseum]
but it seems a little dicey,
and this phone is on my company contract....
oh well
firmware updates??
any word on possible update of firmware for a "branded" n75?
Re: WHATS YOUR BATTERY LIFE UP TO?
2 to 3 days
But NOT heavy usage for the 3 days...
Re: hard or soft vibrate?
probably much more like other nokia's...
it's a pretty "light" buzz

Won't this work??

Re: Gmail Question
Have you tried to set it in the messaging email section as a pop email? Seems like it might be possible, i haven't had time yet to try it.
Re: can u put birthdays in the calendar like you can on the nokia 6102?
Well, it does have a place for dob in the address book section, I'll tell you on the 25 if it gives my daughters age
Re: um.. wet camera
Samsung SYNC SGH-A707
um.. wet camera
so, suppose my wife left her phone in a bag that kinda got slightly wet..
I took about the battery, sim let it dry out, but now all it does is have the red screen of death..
we've only had the phone for a 6 mos. Is it repairable? will i be able to get a refurbished phone cheap?
any ideas [and i don't want to cheat anyone] but I'd like to keep this inexpensive..
thanks!

Re: opera mini and the photo blog
Well I was referring to the opera mini browser, and the link within that takes a picture, and uploads it to a blog [opera community] It's pretty easy, but not all phones will let a browser take control of the camera. I like it for quick and easy photo life blog distribution....
Re: opera mini and the photo blog
well, no one would check this out for me so i just got one and YES opera photoblog [straight to blog i like to say!] works just fine!
Pretty nice phone!
Exceeds expectations!
opera mini and the photo blog
has anyone tried the "straight-to-blog" photo feature with the n75? I love this feature, but many phones do not allow the browser to "take control" of the camera....
Opera allows posting of pictures so easily while out and about.
Re: Questions regarding Samsung SYNC SGH-A707- beau
Please provide instructions, [or link] as i have not been able to turn off the shutter sound effects, and the option of it only lasting until "reboot" is not that good.
If you use some "program" tho, is there any other problems? warranty issues?
Thanks!
Re: Whats the best tethering phone?
I've had great luck with the sync.
I use the free downloaded suite from samsung, and use either the usb cable or blututh
3G
pretty wicket fast....
but then i still use dial up at home
Re: 3 phone familytalk limit
That sounds better, just call 611?
or is there a better number?
Thanks!
Re: 3 phone familytalk limit
No *special* way around it, even for a long term customer? :(
It would keep them from Verizon
3 phone familytalk limit
is there any chance i could add a line to the 550 Minutes family talk plan 4 phones total?
I have over 1500 roll over mins after only 6 months or so, and i'd like to get a phone for my parents, but want to keep it to the 9.99 add.
Is this asking too much?
thanks
new aircards
OK I got my office to purchase both a
Option GT Max 3.6 AND [!] a Sierra Wireless Air-card 875. Both seem good so far. I work in Fresno, CA, in the office i work in i only get 2 bars of 3G but both seem to work well in my preliminary testing.
Seeing as we can't rate or discuss these officially, anybody have any questions or test ideas?
I'm going to take these out in the ...
Re: What Sync's
I've used the blue tooth, but since my laptop needs the bluetooth usb dongle anyways, the cable is a little easier. It's real easy to bluetooth the ear-piece, and surprisingly easy to bluetooth mp3's back and forth with my daughter's phone. [have you seen those bluetooth remote speakers? way cool if a tad expensive...] but if you have built in Bluetooth in your laptop, use it.
Re: express cards
I don't know about the LG's but when you tether with a Sync. it charges the phone while it's plugged into the laptop, and it works perfect! 8)
Re: THANKS chugalug63
LOVE the C button... who needs a pda?
Re: What Sync's
The cable and software is a pretty good deal.
I haven't used the outlook "syncing" yet, but i think it does.
You can actually download the software for free, so the cable and headphones are what you really need. The music [file transfer] and contact management are the main parts i've used but it also has:
The applications of Samsung PC Studio and their functions and features are as follows
PC Studio Launcher
Provides the shortcut icons to start the ...
Re: Opera Mobile Browser
Yeah the mini is awesome.. i'm not sure what the "other" browser could add, the mini seems great
Re: alarm and messaging tones
Well, not really as a mp3 you have to convert it to another file type, and shorten it.
Howard forums has some detailed explanations, I'm not sure if it's here in phonescoop somewhere....
Re: Sync Missed Calls reboot??
These need a reboot? Most of my phones, i never turn off.
Do you have more information on this?
Re: A707 MicroSD memory Problems
I also bought two sync's, and did have some intermittent card recognition problems at least a couple of times both phones, and one phone maybe 3 times...
they seem to be better this week, I'm hoping it was a learning problem :P [ha but hopeful nevertheless]
I still think these phones rock, just wish i could convince my work to get me one to replace my se s710, which is still OK, just not 3G
Re: Connect to laptop for data access
get any answers on this?
Re: memory card questions
What's a ringtone converter?
just a audio [mp3] "editor"? Like audiology?
I've learned that it's best to shorten the ringtone i want down to teh 13 or so seconds that it get's played, and then move that to teh phone... no reason to keep a huge file that only gets used 4% or so, plus if i ever move song around, or pop out or switch the card, the ringtone is still working
Re: A Case, My Kingdom For a Case!
I just got my a707's, and the corp store had these rather nice leather covers that open and close with the clamshell, cover the screens, and leave all the buttons and plugs open for use. nice!
i have NOT seen this one on line however...
samsung pc suite software
After a previous threads service issues
my only final question is
I ended up with a music bundle that the outside box says ok with the a707 AND the d807,
but the cd with the pc suite sync software says ONLY for the d807, and after installing it, that appears true???
At this time the software seems NOT to recognize the phone.. usb at least...
downloading it from samsung is not an option, i have dial up, and its 41 megs.
if i take ...
