Welcome T-Mobile to the wonderful world of 2006
What a pathetic joke. You know, people are RAILING on Sprint and Samsung for the M800 and its a true bargain at $129. $200 for a crappy ass old MOTO?
Any people wonder why Motorola is going of business and why T-Mobile has the fewest subscribers. Of course their CSI is awesome, they have the LOWEST subscriber base.
And I am a former T-Mobile high ARPU client who just recently bailed. I live in Los Angeles and their is not ...
Re: New Phones, Release Dates!!!! Ready, Excited
Dude, lighten up. Its the internet. 8)
Re: Treo 700 for T-Mobile
From what little info I have piecemeal, they are updating w/ MDA II in the fall, its already out in Euope, nice unit.
Re: Razor V3M Comeing
I truly think Verizons coverage and service is *perceived* to be the best, but it is no longer. Yes, at one point it was, but things change, especially in technology.
Their customer service, frankly, is not that great if you are brutally honest about it. In addition, they are 'spensive and really tightly control what you can and can not do on their "network". Remember, Verizon migrated from AMPS to IS-95 in the same spectrum bandwidth, "800Mhz", it really ...
Re: HELIO Faq's and my opinions.
My pleasure man :)
BTW, if you have any more questions, just post 'em here. Also I can answer pretty much anything pertaining to do with Sprint-Nextel and to a lesser extent Cingular. (Cingular is in a weird "phase" right now, perhaps due to the merger). I still can not get a straight answer from *anyone* when WCDMA is going live in the LA area. Its already like June.
Re: Helio doesn't look that bad
Yeah, there is no way Alltell is even on Helios radar.
Re: Green Dot Prepaid Visa
If only it disappears from the Shack as well
Re: Smart Move!
Versed,
I do not think they are missing the boat at all. CDMA is very popular in the Americas and Asia and their 3G networks are already mature and stable as the WCDMA / HSDPA integration issues are really effecting the Cingular / AT&T transition.
It is almost June and still down here in L..A., they don't even have the WCDMA network lit up. I was talking to one of the Cingular engineers a a few weeks ago, as they are ...
Re: First!
I see what you guys are saying, thats kinda why I put it in parenthesis. I was just passing on what intel was given to me. I really didn't get how Palm could sell an unbranded CDMA device (Like they do w/ the GSM 650)....
Thanks for the feedback though! :)
First!
Sprint is launching first. Radio Shack will have them by first week of June. Rumor is unbranded (unlocked? doubt it highly though) available via palms retail store tomorrow.
Sprint is also launching several other new phones this quarter (Nokia & Motorola).
First CDMA/iDen (PTT only) will be Q3.
Re: The "Wheres"???
it is called Helio.com
Re: Cingular and Bellsouth home svc bundle - weird issue
Read your new bill, there is an insert that addresses this very issue.
Re: Helio doesn't look that bad
By the time your contract with Cingy is up, I guarantee you the prices will be a lot higher, not to mention you wont get the same phone upgrade program they are going to roll out... 8)
HELIO Faq's and my opinions.
OK, There is a lot of misinformation being spread in the forums by people by (as usual) not during their basic due diligence and just logging onto Helios damn web site.
In the interests of being fair and balanced, I will answer all of the questions that so far other than Eric Linn, no one has a clue as to what up. And no, I dont work for Helio, but I am a store manager for a large retail store ...
Re: deciding on a new phone, had a few questions.
Stephon has not been an All-Star for four years now and his attitude is horrendous and has been everywhere hes been. I do not understand with the lineup the Kinickerbockers have, the talent you guys have why things are so dang bad. Stevie Franchise, to me, is a perpetual All-Star and is someone who is of good character and work ethic. I have known Stevie peripherally from the outside for maybe nine years and he is so good to ...
Re: Verizon Wireless plans to roll out MediaFLO service in spring 2007. (opinons please)
That network is T-Mobile. I know your probably saying to yourself "yeah right", but look at the independent awards they are winning for call quality, non dropped calls and customer service. I live in California and T-Mobile is rated higher in all aspects for the west coast.
They have spent a lot of money upgrading their network and are continuing to do so. They are the dark horse in the cell phone "wars". Sprint is all over the map ...
Re: Apple iSync Macintosh iCal

Re: Apple iSync Macintosh iCal
This phone is listed as officially compatible w/ iSync 2.2., which is part of OS X 10.4.6.

Re: the feds own sprint.nextel
The previous guy is correct, the government does own part of Sprint via their sizeable investment in Nextel and iDen.
Re: Never will be released
I dont get what the guy at the top of the thread said. He said it would be "usless" with any other carrier. That makes no sense at all. I have T-Mobile and it will work fine with my service, especially in CA. where Cingy is giving back its 850Mhz spectrum to T-Mobile.
I think the previous poster was right, Cingular will wait (IF they release it, it may go to T-Mobile & Cingular) in order to push sales of ...
Re: wanting a treo 700w need advice
You guys should lighten up...Its not like its your money if the dude "loses" his phone. I honestly dont get why people take this type of thing so seriously...And I have always noticed it is VZW people that are the most anal-rentative.
Anyhow, dude, DO NOT GET THE TREO. It sucks. Beyond sucks. Constantly crashes, I mean CONSTANTLY, reception is not that good and the screen blows. And its hella expensive. I would wait for the Moto Q, everything I ...
Re: Well who will this phone be for....
Why cant it release for BOTH carriers? There is no law saying only ONE carrier can sell a device, and if memory serves correctly, HP & T-Mobile partnered together for the first two HP iPaqs.
I think this sounds like a really cool device and I will definitely pick one up to supplement my SDA.

Re: T-mo VOIP in Germany
From what info I have gleamed, They will be rolling out the service in September, and initially it will be called "T-Mobile Home". You will be provided with a T-Mobile branded router (at a local Corp store) and be charged a small extra fee per month (which they are still figuring out). From what I know, the MDA, SDA and yet to be released Samsung are the only phones as of now that will support the service. Also, UMTS/HSDPA ...
EV-DO REV-A
Guys,
Unless you have REV-A equipment, you aint gunna get REV-A speeds. So for everyone who is posting asking if "my speed on my 6700" will go up, of course, no.
Slowing down, common sense, and intelligence go a long way to answering our own questions I think.

Re: MUST READ!!! TREO 700W LOVERS.... PROFESSOR ON PHONESCOOP
You have got to be kidding me, right?
Re: this or the 6700?
I just sent a picture on my 6700 yesterday via MMS...
Re: Mac Users!!! Help!!!!!!
Yeah, but it does not support Windows Mobile 5.0. Also, Virtual PC will NOT let you sync WinMobile devices (even older 2003 SE Premium). Trust me, I have tried EVERY scenario. The only thing to do is to wait for the new version from Missing Sync. The PocketMac stuff is not as good. Also, be aware that VPC7 does NOT work on all new Maciontoshes. (INTEL). - Mike
Re: Wi-Fi Trouble on SDA
CALL CUSTOMER CARE OR GO THE GODDMAND SDA FORUM. Jesus.
Re: Synch problems
You have to go into the settings in Active Sync. This is a known issue w/ the Cingular version, will not happen with the T-Mobile. Also, Wi-Fi works better with the MDA than the 8125. They have different software packages on them.
Re: MDA
Read the manual. Call Customer care. Ask your sales person. Get a ****ing brain. - Mike
PS: I fyou have to ask the question, why are you even bothering to get an MDA?
Re: Calling all dealers to stand up to T-Mobile
You know, I know this will be an unpopulat statement on here but, Why exactly does T-Mobile even need most indirect agents or dealers? The answer is, they really dont. I think the business model has changed guys over the years, as they should. T-Mobile has no legal obligation to do jack **** to help out dealers. In fact, If iwas a major fortine 1000 company, I would not even want dealers, I would want all factory stores to ...
Re: Phone issues
Thank you, I will try that tonight. I thought It was probably user error on my part.
Also, after the initial boot up (which does take for-ev-er), I have had NO issues. This things hasn't crashed once! I tried the iPqa when it first came out like last November and that thing was sllloooowww & crashed. Nothing like that piece of crap Treo 700w Verizon is pimping out.
- Mike
um, like were we not supposed to sproting our spiffy new 3G UMTS/HSDPA handsets by now?
Like, WTF? There is *no* mention of 3G on Cingulars web site, there is no info on this site, engadget mobile, which seems to taking the place of phone scoop has at least a little info, but its almost March. I thought February? I live in Los Angeles, so I am thinking this can not be a market that would not be at least in the initial roll out.
Any ideas? What it the holdup?
They are building a cell tower ...
Re: Phone issues
I can not, for the life of me, get my damn WI-FI to work. I do not know what I am doing wrong and I know the people @ Cingular are clueless....
Other than the Wi_fi Issue, the phones is great! AWESOME reception, wonderful screen and my unit runs very quickly. No "slowdown" issues. I like it a lot and I am sure a software upgrade / patch will be forthcoming to address all of the little issues. I hope.

hahaha, That was a good one! :D
Re: Puerto Rico Blue TDMA
Dude, TDMA is dead. ..And how can you have two years left on a TDMA contract when they refused new activations on that crappy betwork over a year ago? Something does not sound right here...
Re: Will Q have....??
No, it is the Smarthphone version of the new Windows Mobile 5. Click wheel in side and nav-key in center.
BTW, How does Microsoft get their naming schemes?
Windows Vista correlates to WM5 how? You think they would try and make it all a bit more symetrical.
Re: When's the MDA coming?
OK....First of all, I think you are trying to start a flame war, but if you really are being serious, I think you have some of your facts wrong. Verizon does indeed have a good marketing program and is really starting to be aggressive with their handsets and technology road map. But, at the same time, I think T-Mobile is doing a hell of a job here in the U.S. They are the only wireless telecom company that is ...
Re: V-CAST Music
I went to my local VZW store today and the sales dude who they stuck on me even though I told them I was just looking told me that "All V-Cast phones are V-Music capable, they just need an upgrade". He then pointed to the VX9800 & the A970. I asked him about the a930 and he said he has no idea when its coming out and that "you would be able to use the high speed portion ...
