Re: question about the camera and the flash
It stays on the for the entire time you're taking the picture. It is really handy as a flashlight as it remembers your preference, so you can hit the "camera" hotkey and bam the camera comes on with the flash on.
Re: USB charge cable
From my experience, using the Micro-mini USB Adapter and a Motorola Mini-USB Cable, it can sustain the battery and charge to about half full. I left it plugged in overnight, the phone said I had full battery, but died in a day (with a brand new extended battery). I charged with the a/c charger (and the mini to micro adapter) and all has been well.
Re: Horrible Battery Life?
Thank you
Horrible Battery Life?
Just got the Q9h a couple days ago. I bought it used from the bay. It only came with an extended battery and micro-mini adapter. I charged it with my computer via mini-usb cable until it said the battery was full. It lasted just under 12 hours with light use. ~5 emails (no attachments) ~5 text messages ~20min of GPS use ~15min of 3G internet use ~25min Talk time
Any ideas?
Re: Google Maps - How to get it ?
Confirmed, just got the Q9h today- there is no need for telenav for the GPS to function using Google Maps- make sure your Q9h has a clear view of the sky (helps to have a moon roof) and its fairly quick to get a lock (also helps if you're not moving whilst it's trying to find satellites).
Re: Google Maps - How to get it ?
Not sure, don't have the q9h yet- soon- but you shouldn't. Telenav is just software and i dont think its needed to use the gps.
Could be wrong though.
No go on my Blackjack
Does not work on my Blackjack. It could be my location though..Santa Barbara..not enough towers mabye?
Re: Google Maps - How to get it ?
On your phone, go to http://google.com/gmm
It will auto detect your OS and give you a link to d/l the .cab file. Once you d/l it, it will auto open and install Google Maps to your phone.
GPS
Does anyone know if you can use third party GPS apps like TomTom and Route66 with the BJII or Q9H WITHOUT a separate GPS dongle? Thank you for your insight :)
Re: BJ ll or Q9h???
BJII and the Q9 GPS: can you use them with a third party GPS app like TomTom?
How is the BJII camera?
I am really leaning towards the BJII cause it is slimmer than the Q9- according to Phonescoop's specs, the Q9 is wider than the BB8800 and that to me was quite wide. And according to PS specs, the BJII isn't much wider than the original.
Thanks for all the insight :)
Re: Why no 3G?
Wifi on phones suck. The range is ****ty and sucks battery like no other. edge is slow and ****ty and most major cities have 3G coverage.
Re: Remote Control??? :)
I wasn't aware that the Blackjack had infared...it's listed as a missing feature on phonescoop and I can't find it anywhere..
Finally!!!
I've been waiting allll too long for this!!! yay go cingular!
Re: Cingular?
Released today!!! YAY
Keyboard layout :(
:? That keypad looks annoying- no QWERTY layout- or anything resembling any type of keyboard layout, just the letters A-Z alphabetized. I think typing on that could be slow and cumbersome and take too much time to learn.
Re: No I-TUNES!
I have an E1 and i transfered all my ripped mp3s from my computer to my phone (granted it took FOREVER, stupid usb 1.1) but i didn't have to buy a single song from itunes (i never will) to be compatible with the E1....
The E1 is just my backup phone, and i like my Audiovox SMT 5600 much much more..i am saving up for the Cingular 2125, i can't wait..
