No contraversy guys, i have both Kx2 and vx8100 Both are good, but 8100 has little more advantage. If you just want to use as cellphone then signal quality for both is almost same. But VX8100 has little more advantage with more feautures like Bluetooth, Mp3 player.

Well i own Kx2 and my wife has 8100. for my experiance 8100 is better becouse: 1) it has bluetooth 2) mp3 player 3) free wap config is very easy 4) Kx2 opening is difficult with one hand (specially when driving) 5)adding more ringtones and mp3s are easy with bitpim through bluetooth. (for Kx2 you need data cable) and much more....

Excellent Comparison demosthenes. your inputs really helped me a lot to go for V551 as this has Minimal advantage over V3: 1) Headset jack (though not much useful if you use Bluetooth) 2) Push to Talk (might be for future Use) Susarla

Coreection to my earlier post.... Please read username: @vzw3g.com as username: @vzw3g.com and i am surprised its giving only 14.4 kbps.. my existing phone with this type of connection gives me 148Kbps speed. (Nokia 3589i)

It's fairly easy to set this up. You need to install your modem under Windows control panel; don't let Windows detect the modem, do a manual install and "have disk" and browse the file to find the modem driver. I setup a new connection this way in Windows with Dial-Up Networking: phone number: #777 username: @vzw3g.com password: vzw (just those three small letters)

If you have America's National plan i belive it will use just the minutes no extra charge will be added. i am using the same for my nokia phone never billed extra.
