Re: We are free to leave this month?
And the netowork is the reason so many people have jumped ship....in my opinion more so then the lack of carrying the iphone. At the end of the day....people are more inclinded to pay 30-40% more to actually have a network that provides better service.
Re: We are free to leave this month?
Exactly. Ok we have great plans....but that's half of the story....improve the network where 90% I am stuck in sloooow EDGE and I will stand on the mountain top supporting T-mobile....heck I'll volunteer to sign up customers for that matter!
Re: We are free to leave this month?
I was just generalizing they are behind on everything!! I could really care less about the iphone....I'm 100% android. Yes the plans are very marketable and will make people happy but I guess I would have like to hear more of the AGGRESSIVE chatter on the network vs. the plans.
Re: The way it should have been
@yourvoiceofreason
Exactly...I just posted this in another thread but here's my input:
They better step the sh!it up with the network. They are late with EVERYTHING. Last network to get LTE, Iphone, etc. And them saying other networks are BS with contracts...ummm hello...they been doing it for umm....ohh...since they started....now it's a "sham" I understand the need to "re-vamp" the company but if your a smart consumer you will know that this "Uncarrier" approach is because they are excessively hurting as ...

Someone....anyone.....?! :-)...
Re: STOP THE INSANITY...iPhone???
The Iphone 5 will be LTE compatible and work on their HSDPA+ "4G" network.....
Re: STOP THE INSANITY...iPhone???
In my opinion.....they should have just launced with the Iphone5....your already LATE in the game....why even try to offer anything out of date!
We are free to leave this month?
Legere: "Get this, if we suck this month, drop us! Go somewhere else!"
Wait.....am I hearing this right? Unsatisfied customers are free to leave.....no ETF?? I NEED details on this. Look I have been patient for a LONG time but I am tired of being 90% 2G MOSTLY EVERWHERE I travel. I wonder if I can "cancel service" have not ETF and then just sign up again on one of the new no-contract plans....that way at least I am ...
Re: T-Mobile Are Liars
Ohhhh new slogan. T-Mobile..."The Nations Largest BAD Network" (Bareley Adequate Data).
Re: T-Mobile Are Liars
@shadowleo Either you secretely represent T-Mobile (so your intent is making them look good) or you just happen to be lucky to have good experience where you travel. I am 100% in agreence that in my experience T-Mobile is 85%-90% EDGE ONLY. I live in NC and just BARELY outside of a major metro area you are STRICTLY 2G!! Also many cities with populations of 30-125,000 are 100% EDGE. Congrats on being part of the apparent ...
Re: URGENT This article preaches the truth on T-Mobile and sloooow 2G
You have no idea how bad coverage is in NC. Literally ONLY a few large cities are 4g. Other big cities are 2G only and of course rural areas are 2G only. It's safe to say that with land-area considered 90+% of my state is 2G only even on MAJOR interstates. It's absurd. I just looked at a 3rd party coverage map for T-mobile and it's laughable. We literally are stuck in 2001 with T-mobile!
Re: URGENT This article preaches the truth on T-Mobile and sloooow 2G
Yup. They are their own worst enemy
Re: URGENT This article preaches the truth on T-Mobile and sloooow 2G
@Jon Doh where in NC are you? I'm in Fayetteville which is 98% 4G but if I go anywere else its strictly 2G. I hate being in a rural area with friends that are all on 3G or 4G with other carrriers dowloading songs our using facebook and it would talke me 5 years to pull up weather.com.INSANE! T-mobile keeps giving me the "just hang on give us a chance, we are upgrading daily" same sold song & ...
Re: URGENT This article preaches the truth on T-Mobile and sloooow 2G
"It's because of customers like you that T-Mobile will never, ever reach or pass 40+million customers.." ummmm what do you mean because of us? It's are fault tmobile sucks? Please elaborate!
URGENT This article preaches the truth on T-Mobile and sloooow 2G
I live in an area with 4G in the city, but anywhere remotely out of city limits...i'm talking widespread areas and COMPLETE POPULATED towns are 100% 2G only here in North Carolina. When in the world will we at least have 3G in areas at&t had 3G in 5 years ago?! NC used to be a SunCom market so I guess 98% of the towers here are legancy SunCom towers. Anyway read this and you'll be screaming "AMEN!" just ...
Faceboook for android location issue
I don't know what gives. I have the Galaxy 3 on ICS. The latest version of FB for android. When I update my status it no longer says "Near dallax tx" next to my post. IT shows the city name in grey at the bottom right corner before I post my status but it only says "Just now" not "Just now near dallas tx" when I post a status. Can anyone help? I already re-installed, checked ...
Mobile Hotspot Question
I currently have the MyTouch 4G. I use the mobile hotspot on my phone to provide internet for my laptop. I've never had to pay the $20 fee (or however much it is) to use the hotspot...and I have been using it just like this for almsot 2 years now and I use right aroud 5G's of data a month. Can I do this on this phone....or when I go to "turn on the hotspot feature" will ...
Re: Any DETAILED info on WHERE coverage will increase
NP. Where do u live?
Re: Any DETAILED info on WHERE coverage will increase
In Fayetteville itself, it's fair. I do not go to Steadman or Laurinburg. When I get out of Fayetteville on 95 and head north towrd VA or south toward SC It's ALWAYS 2G. It's almost like anywhere remotely out of any city's citylimits I have 2G service only.
Re: Any DETAILED info on WHERE coverage will increase
Great. Same crapyy coverage for me :(
Any DETAILED info on WHERE coverage will increase
I live in Fayetteville NC. I get 3G/4G coverage in the city itself...I go slightly out and I am in constant slow 2G. Does any know if there will be a coverage increase in my market? Is there a FULL proposed list of where the extra AT&T coverage will be available on my T-mobile device. Also, I have a MyTouch 4g...is it capable of roaming on the AT&T bands for data & cellular??
Re: WCDMA bands
This means 3G data available on AT&T??
Re: HAHAHA YES!
"To reflect the break-up considerations due Deutsche Telekom, AT&T will recognize a pretax accounting charge of $4 billion in the 4th quarter of 2011. Additionally, AT&T will enter a mutually beneficial roaming agreement with Deutsche Telekom."
Mutually beneficial sounds pretty clear cut to me....
http://wirelessandmobilenews.com/20 11/12/att-ditches-t-mobile-buy-agrees-roaming -agreement.html
HAHAHA YES!
I opposed this merger from day one. I left AT&T for T-Mobile in November of 2011 for a better deal & better data rates. Only a few short months after my changeover the merger was announced & I was like "your kidding me". What I want to know now is...does anyone know the time frame on when I will be able to openly roam on AT&T's network? I know the cancellation fee is $3 billion cash money ...
Re: Hopefully it works
This sounds like a GREAT idea!
Re: Well
4G...
MYTOUCH RG
GINGERBREAD.........WHEN ALREADY?????!!!!
A FEE FOR WARRANTY PROCCESSING?!
I just had to do a warranty of my phone (warranty is through November) with customer care. I am being charged a $20 warranty proccessing & service fee. I have argued with the reps & a supervisor on this. Warranty is warranty period! Regardless of any insurance coverages that I have or do not have on my phone, my device should be covered for manufactures defects for ONE SOLID YEAR FOR FREE! WTF?!! ...
Re: So what are all you T-Mobile people gonna do...
Say what you want. I was an at&t customer for 7 years before joining t-mobile in november of 2010. T-mobile is far more innovative than at&t will ever be! Pricing is great and products are way ahead of at&t!
Re: Soft cap...
I'm wondering if this the speed throttling is new or if they been doing this? Im on the 79.99 1500 min unlimited n/w, unlimited text & data and have been on it since I became a customer in novermber 2010 and notictced when im close to 4-5 G it seems really sloooow?
I oppoose the merger...but if it turns inevitable check this out!
I don't want it to happen at all, but if it does & these "concessions" are required of at&t they just may be forced to keep rate plans & such. See link!

FIRST...
And I hope the US Sentate realizes this deal will reduce competition! Wake up people...there will be are no other major GSM carriers!
It's just lovely....
How big blue needs more specturm so they will rape (x amount of millions of customers. I just freakin left at&t for better plans with T-mobile and NO data cap. I know my contract will be carried out till end of term, but whenever we upgrade we are likely going to be stuck on freakin expen$ive a$$ at&t plans! It's just not right. AT&t if they gave a sh!t would adopt t-mobile plans if this goes through! Not ...
Re: Props to T-Mobile
When you say you bought new phones, did you buy them flat out or did you sign a new agreement to get the phones at a discoutned rate? Also I don't know if this situation would be similar since it is just an old at&t plan.
Re: Props to T-Mobile
If I can keep the plan....I don't care what logo is on my bill or what network display reads on my phone!
Re: Props to T-Mobile
Legally yes contracts will be filled until the end of term. Then you will be month to month. But guess what your gonna want a new phone (especially me on android after 2 yrs) and that's when you will loose your old plan. I know damn well at&t is not going to give me 1500 mins, TRUE unlimited text & data for $79! Complete BS. I want this by out protested/petitioned!
Re: Props to T-Mobile
 This proposition really pisses me off! I just left at&t for T-mobile for better rate plans and less restrictions (ie no 2G data caps). Now to find out they are in talks to buy them outrages me! I know the terms of my t-mobile contract will be carried out but damn afterwords to be back on a freakin LIMITED at&t plan!!!!!!!!!!!!!
