I have a treo 650 and a 7290. The Black Berry is much better for e-mail period. As voice phone they are fairly similar although the treo has a speaker phone although it is weak.
The treo is better for games, music, video, programs and internet. I use yahoo e mail for personal use and it works better on the treo.
