Circuit City does that with Verizon. Verizon wireless pays them rent to be in their stores and the only agreement is that Circuit City can not sell another carrier.

I guarantee that there will be fights on planes when this goes into affect. You put an edgy, nervous flyer next to a loud, obnoxious cell phone talker and you are going to get Jerry Springer action, hard core. Just hope they do not bring extra batteries or their extended battery on the trip.

Verizon was the only carrier with this live TV thing. 8 channels to choose from, the same 8 channels AT&T is going to offer.
Now, let's see if Verizon can expand on their programming lineup, maybe a premium channel like an HBO. Competition benefits the consumer.
It's only a 3" TV but when you your boss won't allow you to log on to watch the NCAA tournament, Mobile TV was awesome.

I am having the same problem with my LG vx9400. I think it is a Verizon thing. They do not want you to use anything that streams video, like if you wanted to use a slingbox. Verizon says it congests the network.

The NFL is very stingy on who broadcasts games on TV. V-TV is no where near being capable to broadcast live NFL games.
It will be a very, very long time that you will be able to view an NFL game on Verizon's TV.
In terms of live broadcasting, some stations do broadcast live, like NCAA basketball games on ESPN/CBS. The Tourny will be on Verizon TV. I saw it last year when it was first launched. Comedy ...

Thank you, this is typical for Motorola, they land a hot item (the startac, the v60, the razor) and milk it until they lose the battle. Nokia, Samsung, Lg come out with many new items and keep the market fresh. That is why Motorola is now third.
Also, Zander screws Motorola, leaves and takes his millions in salary and the employees are the ones that suffer.

Thank you...that is horrible marketing. If you are going to use a picture, make sure it at least looks brand new or add an image on the screen.

It is a great phone. I get looks from everyone about how cool it looks. I have had the phone since it came out and I have had no no problems. It does everything it says to it's fullest potential. Only things I would change, a better holster (doesn't clip out so easily), better AI (but but that is all Verizon phones) and a little better speakerphone but still works well.

Thank you. I just hope they start playing re-runs of new shows. CBS played the NCAA tournament, I hope they have intensions of showing NFL games as well.

Verizon has eight channels but nothing is broadcasted live or at least the day after. When will ESPN start showing baseball games or basketball playoffs...when will NBC start showing re-runs of Seinfeld, Friends, Deal or No Deal...Will CBS and Fox show NFL games???
When will all these questions be answered? Right now, the programming stinks on Verizon. They definately marketed to the "soap" watchers. That's on like half the day.

First, upload the song to your sd card and store it in your "My Sounds" folder...then scroll down to the "sound" you would like as your ringtone...once highlighted, hit the "ok" button which sould execute "send". Type in your own cell phone number as the number you want to text and send the text with the attached mp3. You will then receive the mp3 and will prompt you if you want to save as a ringtone, say ...

Yes, it has to be, I believe, less than a meg. I don't know the exact size restrictions. Play around but I know for sure that 3mb is way to big. Your ringtone should not be more than 30 seconds long.

You need to get a program to convert dvd to .3gp format. Just google dvd to 3gp converter and a whole bunch of links will come up. There are some free ones but most of the good ones you have to pay for. I did it and works great

Yes, and it is a ridiculous amount to pay for it. $130? C'mon. I have a 1 GB card in my VX9400 and I only paid $25 for it. They are so small, you can 4 of them and still pay less.

It has been confirmed!!!!! I was shocked when I found out (on hold with Verizon for about 30 minutes). They said that not only does the network not support wireless streaming video (which doesn't make sense), but it will violate your agreement with Verizon and you will be terminated from your contract. I guess they really want you to use their MOBI-TV. so I was wrong and it is now confirmed.

How can Verizon terminate your contract? On slingbox's website, one of the phones they say will work is the Motorola Q. Do you think that Verizon would of said something to not put that on their website? Also, all it is doing is using the internet that you are paying for through your package.
