You should never expect great coverage when the cows outnumber people. The reason verizon is predominant in the area is bc of thier exrtremely outdated technology. It doesnt make good business sense to put to much money into a sparsley populated area.

Stores like best buy that sell cellular service do not have to worry as much about the break even point with their cellphones as they don't sell just cellphones. They can recoup their losses on other high end electronics.

I would like to express the same sentiments. This site has assisted me exponeitally. I am always referring to this site when researching phones and keeping up to date on the latest wireless news. It has also educated me in many other ways, so that I am able to better assist my customers when troubleshooting their phone. I work in a call center and when I have some slow time, which is not often this site also entertains me ...

Actually I do that all day long. I work in BEUC, business end user care, we can order you phones if your on a sponsorship acct. Meaning you get a disc on your service each month. We currently have a limited # of phones avail but we have phones for you. You can mig to cing and still receive the same discs on your service and phones. You will have to change your rate plan and purchase a cing ...

Marcus do you happen to work in the greensboro call center? If so you are the shizzle. If this is the Marcus I'm thinking about their is not a problem this man can not resolve. We have a Marcus @ our resolutions dept, and he always knows the answer.

GSM LG phones are terrible. If you like calling cs a lot for troubleshooting then spend your money and get it. 70% of the troubleshooting I do is on LG phones. Maybe I'll get to talk to you one day

Its done to prevent abuse of the rollover min system. Makes perfect sense to me. For example if you start with a 59.99 National Plan which includes 900 mins. Lets say you realize you don't need that many mins after one month bc you only used 300 mins. This would leave you with a rollover balance of 600 mins. Still with me, now, say you call in and say I don't need this many mins, so I want to ...

The IMEI should be a 15 digit # starting w/ a 3 or 0, so its probablly legit. Also why are you worried, I shop E-bay all the time. Its where I got my amazing nokia 9500 for only 80 dollars. If you bought from a reputable dealer on e-bay then don't sweat it.

I do agree Jamster and all fo the online ring tone sites I know of are all scams. We are in the age of the ignorant consumer. It saddens me actually. These people that have been scammed by jamster and are now suing remind of smokers suing tobacco companies. Read the terms and conditions of anything before you agree. I don't feel like anybody was scammed, I feel they didn't take the time to research and read the contract ...

I just never escalate a call to a supervisor, when a customer calls and doesn't like my answer. I ignore their requests for awhile. Using several de-escaltions, if they still want to escalate. I'll tell them my supervisor is with another rep, and esc to res. I will exp to res the situation and 9 times out 10 the res rep will agree with me and will back me up.

Just to let you, not all americans are as empiralistic and filled with ignorant greed as the previous poster. I find it sad that my fellow americans have this we are better than every other country attitude. In fact if it wasn't so damn cold in canada, I'd much rather live there. I mean at least you have universal healthcare. Our greedy capitilistic country doesn't provide that.

But who knows with Cingular, they rarely do what makes sense. They are the biggest but they are following every move verizon makes as far as plans and packages go... except unlim txt messaging.... make sense???? I do agree with that, after verizon changed their rate plans we changed ours to almost match. The rate plans suck now with both verizon and cingular if you ask me.

Ummm, I'm not sure where you got your info from but I work for the former at&t wireless. I currently have phones avail for sale to former at&t wireless custs. They all suck except for the silver v3 and the audiovox smt 5600 but we have phones. Even if we didn't, whats stopping a consumer from going on ebay and purchasing a gsm 850 mhz phone and slapping their active sim card in the device. Nobody is being forced ...

I also work for a 3rd party company taking former at&t wireless business customers calls. We are swamped with calls, currently I have 87 calls in que. I'm doing about 40-50 calls a day. I also have not been trained to deal with cingular systems, but we are constantly hiring and adding new services for former at&t wireless customers that we provide here. Although our overall quality as a call center is relatively high. The former at&t wireless ...

I'm at the Martinsville Beuc, Startek office. We have been getting unlim overtime. We have blue tiger, beuc, and csa changes. We have been staying in que from morning till late at night all week. Its been rough as hell...Doing upwards of 100 calls a day. All week I have been working 9am-2am.

Yea who cares what they say to you. I personaly find it hilarious when an irate cust calls me and attacks me. I start speaking in a monotone voice, and act like I have no emotion regarding the situation. It just shows their ignorance not mine. I like when they call it gives me an adrenaline rush and makes my day more exciting.
