Activesync will not connect
I need some help. We have 2 users who recently bought Centro's. We can't get it to connect to exchange activesync. We have windows mobile users connecting fine, but no matter what we try, we can't get the centro's to connect. Palm support was useless. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.
Re: Can u BT to phone on VZW
I have no problem sending and receiving music or pics from my laptop to my v9m.
Re: Data Plan???
I subscribe to Vcast which provides unlimited data for $15 a month.
The manual is back up

My favorite part:
The real problem lies with Verizon's standardized menu structure. We've railed about it many times, but bear with us as we're going to do so again here. Besides the menu's dreary, text-heavy design it's also impossible to find many things. Why put the camera under the Get it Now menu? It just doesn't make sense. You can adjust the backlighting, the time, and the brightness on the display, but you can't change the text size.

Re: V9m Interactive Manual
The point is well taken, but the fact that they have the same ui does mean they perform equally. I doubt they have the same internal hardware and the v9m may have enhancements to some enhancements to the verizon UI like the flash interface. As someone that hates the verizon ui, flash alone is enough to make wait for the v9m.
Re: V9m Interactive Manual
I think it is for downloads and games.
Re: Whats the diff of the versions?
Sprint should eventually get the v9m. Though I think it will be exclusively for verizon for a while.
Re: V8, V9, and crippled, sucky V9m Specs
While it is fun to blame Verizon for everything (most of it deserved), I don't think the lesser hardware for the v9m can be blamed on them. Motorla makes cdma phones for Verizon, Sprint and Alltel. I doubt they will have a cheap one for Verizon and a better one for the others. Motorola makes the hardware and should be blamed.
Re: Verizon UI
"They do offer people options. many types of service plans, phones, features, and more."
They do offer options for plans and many types of phones, but not really anything others don't offer. You like the UI great, but why not offer some phones with the Verizon UI and some without. Or better yet, support RUIM, which is SIM card like technology for CDMA. That will give us the option of buying unlocked phones. When it is ...
Re: Verizon UI
".. theres not one phone, carrier, or service that is gonna satisfy everyone."
That is why they should offer people options.
Re: Go with Maxx now or wait for RAZR2
I have been wondering the same thing. I say wait, though don't necessarily choose which one yet. We need more info on the price, release date and battery life. With 2 large screens, I can think the battery life will be good. Will the V9m support EVDO rA? How will it compare to the V9 that runs the Synergy interface E815 users know and love? If nothing else waiting a little for information ...
Re: Help Deciding
I would wait for Motorola's announcements tomorrow.
Re: Remove Verizon UI
I'm not sure where you would get the firmware, but I can tell you it won't effect reception, just the operation of the phone. NE2 means you can upgrade your phone at a discount rate every 2 years if you sign a new contract. As a rule, US carriers lock their phones into their service and their networks. Unlocked phones are phones that could be used with any network of the same technology. In th ...
Motorola V9m
In case anyone is interested. If you are on the fence, not sure what to buy take a look at the link. If nothing else, the price of the Maxx Ve should drop if this comes soon.

Re: HT820
Let us know how it is. I'm thinking about picking one up myself.
Re: HT820
I haven't tried it myself, but from what I read they will play mp3's from your phone, as well as take calls. One thing to keep in mind is they will require bluetooth, which i think would use more power then wired headphones.
Re: HT820
I wouldn't go with the Ht820. I would go with the S9 instead.

Re: Talking Caller ID????
Can Talking Keypad be turned off. I heard it in the Store and hated it.
Re: Easy Way To Get Ringtones To Maxx?
For my E815 I would put them on a MicroSD card and send them to myself as a text message.
Re: Change ring volume/style with flip closed?
I asked that in the VZW store. They said that feature is being taken out of Verizon phones because women complained that the setting would change when they threw the phone in their purse and the buttons would brush against things.
Re: Verizon UI
I agree. As good as the network is, I just don't think I can take the ui. Can anyone tell me if the Verizon UI allows you to set different ringtones for different contacts or groups? What about mp3 tones? And does it allow you to lock the phone and require a password before it can be used again?
Reception
I saw one of these in a Verizon store and noticed it is getting 2 bars, while my E815 was getting 5 bars. How is the reception?
Re: Verizon UI
Do they at least provide a way to change the hideous red bars on the top and bottom? People need to start calling verizon and sending emails or letters requesting a decent UI.
Verizon UI
I hate the Verizon UI. I currently have a Motorola E815 and I love the UI. I expect the Ve to have the standard Verizon UI is this true? Do they at least have different themes to get away from the ugly red standard? Have there been any improvements over the past few years? The UI is may be enough to get me to switch carriers.
Re: Upgrade Time :(
I'd wait until after CES next week. They may be some big announcements for Moto. I think that is where they annouced the E815 last year.
Re: I'm sorry, what does UI stand for?
User Interface
Interested note in Circuit City Ad
There is a note for the E815 on page 8 of Circuit City's weekly ad. It says:
The Motorola E815 supports Bluetooth profiles for wireless headsets, hands-free car kits, dial-up networking and phoonebook/date book synchronization with compatible PCs using Motorola Phone Tools.
Can anyone confirm the DUN?
Re: you guys can't even answer a direct question
1)I am currently an AT&T/Cingular customer who has had bluetooth enabled phone since 2003. I can honestly say 90% of the time I use bluetooth is for the wireless headset. Yeah, I've used obex, and it works well, but it just isn't that big a deal.
2)I can't see someone buying or not buying a phone based on what Verizon might do in the future. No one knows what Verizon or Cingular or anyone else will do ...
