Re: Landscape Surfing
Maybe try to play the "teeter" game, its pretty addictive really and uses the accelerometer exclusively. Also i didnt see any reference to the d-pad having a touch sensor. You can spin your thumb around the d-pad circle and zoom in and out in web pages and pictures.
Landscape Surfing
Quote from review "The screen is large enough to make the mobile Internet rewarding, bit I do wish that you can surf with the phone sideways. The Diamond only surfs the Web in portrait orientation. "
You can surf opera in landscape, just turn it sideways since it has the build in accelerometer. Granted sometimes it doesnt register, it will do it tho...
Re: Flair
you should have seen the stuff they used to make us wear at Best Buy when i worked there, it used to be a lanyard with a small accessory tied to it, and carry around a clipboard with another accessory on that... i hated working there, for other reasons tho...
Question on the ultra phones
I dont think anyone has asked this yet, but with the ultra video and ultra music, where do the batteries go?
More on topic...
Heres a question that actually pretains to the topic rather than starting or adding to a flame war.... Where do you download the client from and which handsets does it work on so far, niether phonescoops story nor the link to the source at Sprint told this info...
Re: Vibrating alert?
Most of the new samsungs do that, a900 and similar
Re: New Sprint Samsung M610
I believe its actually the "Glint" but it still does a good job thrashing RAZRs and KRZRs... i really dont like either of those...
Re: First to offer content gifts?
I work at a sprint store and im looking at some content cards right now... theyre old and we never really sold a bunch but this one is a "$13 value" says its good toward games and we've had other that said they were good towards ringers, whether theyre interchangeable i dont know, like i said we never really sold a bunch, these things have been here for at least 2 years....
Re: Motorola Krzr1M
I am not impressed, the screen is small, its sluggish moving through picture menus, cant play mp3s from media player (only music store), and the front shows finger prints like a mofo... Im not recommending it to any customers... too bad theyll still buy it, fusic or 8400 is a much better value
Re: A900
No
Dura-grip?
IMO maybe you guys should say that it adds rubber grips on the side as well as the changeable faceplates, cuz those are the only differences in this and the 2400, but i think the grips are worth mentioning in the info of the phone...
Other Blackberries
It seems like some of the complaints about this phone are the same as with a normal blackberry, as far as the menu are concerned. I used a Blackberry for about 6 months and got used to it, but never really liked the interface, and its seems like this pearl from the artcile runs the same way a regular blackberry does...
Re: CHECK OUT THESE AWESOME PICS
now those pictures really do it some justice!! notice the sim card slot...
What are the odds
What are the odds that the orange or red or white keypad would fit into a 700?? Making it a little different would be cool...
5300??
Are those faceplates so you can change the color, or are you stuck with red??
Re: LG LX-350
my bad this thread should read "LG LX-150" not 350... 8O
LG LX-350
the side view where the headset jack is looks like theres a door below it for a memory card, and the button on the other side looks like its a memory card button. Any info? Seems strange that such a low-end phone would have a card slot... not that its a bad thing just strange...
Re: Should I wait
sprint prolly wont get the 8400 in store till after the 27th, but it is a possibility. the 920 is a good phone, but its been out almost a year, and i personally like having the newest and coolest. Have you looked at the fusic? It has more features than both the 920 or the 8400 and its a really decent phone, i bought one for my girlfriend and about 5 or 6 people here at work ...
Anyone notice?
Anyone notice the one in the background closed is all silver and the one in the forground open is black and silver? Could be the Sprint one Vs the Verizon one, or could be a bad pic or lighting...
Re: Nickname?
Why do they call it "fun sized" anyway? to me fun size would be like a baseball bat of candy bar... ug, im making myself sick just thinking about it
Re: Release
Forgot to say "good article", cuz it was a good article... any word on any other colors for Sprint?
Release
Is it coming to sprint first then?
Re: 8400???
It will have evdo, bluetooth, and mp3 player. Check sprintusers.com and they did have pictures too i believe.
Re: mm A800 Discontinued?
Its been dicontinued for a while... it was a great phone, i had one, but its been out for over a year and a half and it doesnt have the features of the new phones(evdo, bluetooth). Thats the way electronics work, shelf life is short for these kinds of things.
Re: about Bluetooth 2.0
cool thank you
Re: about Bluetooth 2.0
so what was EDR, i have limited internet at work or id look it up myself
Re: i got katana!
the mock up dummy phones do, but as i was corrected in another post the final product could be different...
Re: Katana materials Rich
huh, my store had never recieved dummies for the 8300 or the 9000, but thats pretty interesting. Guess we'll see when the final product comes out. I did take the dummies apart and put the silver inside of the pink phone and put it into the blue of the blue/black model, and i like that much better than the blue/black, but thats just me...
Re: Katana materials Rich
the dummy phones we have of this model do... you probably
Re: Welcome Back Moto
I liked that Sprint(cdma) didnt have any Motorola
thats strange
Mine lets me transfer files all the time with bluetooth. Under settings>bluetooth you can set the exchange folder to media or pictures or music, and ive taken ring tones off a sony erricson and put them in the media folder with bluetooth. Of course you cant use them as ringtones, but i could play them as a music file...
You can put jpegs on the phone
Plug the phone up to the computer using the supplied cable, then go to tools>mass storage>connect to pc, then the phone will act like a mass storage device and you have access to your picture folder(dcim) and your media and music folder. You can then send what ever jpeg you want into the dcim folder, then on the phone find it and set it as a screen saver. I have a picture of MeetWad on mine right ...
Re: here's your chance to win a W600!!
I hope to win
Re: Motorola Q?
CDMA??? Verizon or over seas, i cant see sprint getting something like that.
Re: BH-900
I really like the small nokia headset, but i agree that anything that makes you look like a cyborg is cool.
Re: Are you new hear or something?
I keep buy new phones and i will probably never be eligible for a rebate again, do i complain, no, i buy it out right, $150 isnt that much money off a phone... i wish they'd get rid of the whole rebate thing
Re: a920
We've had 920s since the day after thanksgiving, in Kentucky, and weve had 2 shipments of 900s already, new customers only of course.
Re: butt
looks like a crappy rip off of the LG mm-535 from Sprint. Big departure from normal nokia...
Re: Whats The Price
$349 without a rebate, minus $150 with the rebate. and it has 47 megs of user space for pics or mp3s or videos.
a920
The samsung a920 is in stores now too, at least in my store.
