28% of all statistics are made up. This, likely, falls within that statistic that I just made up...
Re: And what would you like with your Blackberry meal
Yes, you're right; in the history of OS and app launches, there has never been one where bugs were found after the fact...
Weak sauce indeed.
*cough*
Re: Lack of understanding
Why don't you give up? You make way too much sense.
Please, just quit.
Re: That's funny
Apple is awesome and Android sucks – or vice versa; the eternal argument for the unwashed, brand blind.
Le yawn.
Re: Apple, Google, Microsoft all agree
They all agree that having their own data collection practices lumped in with those of an increasingly corrupt and power hungry government is a bad thing; they don’t care about you, just your perception of them.
Re: Love the hypocrisy ...
I'm no fan of "the man" or the "the fuzz" in general, but no one, including the government, cares that you just ordered a bong over the web or that you've been reading Wikipedia articles on "alternative" religions.
Take a breath; your stash is safe.
Re: You better add the data package
yes, everyone is stealing your information...
Fair price for increased space
I'm not all that interested in this phone myself, but it's nice to see an equipment manufacturer not raping the consumer for increased storage space.
Apple -- and, yes, other equipment makers as well -- charging a $100 or more for every jump from 16gb to 32gb to 64gb is nothing short of highway robbery. This isn't the 1980's; the technology charges doesn't justify the increased price. Motorola making it a nominal $20 more for more space is a consumer ...
OH NO!
"THIS SUCKS!" said their 6 customers in unison.
Re: While this may
...we also know some of the things that Apple does with personal information; giving it to anyone, regardless of your allegiance to one smartphone manufacturer or another, is risky business.
the only additiional risk you're taking on by doing this would be the fact that now TWO companies have your data instead of one. with that being said, you were probably going to enter that information into your new phone anyways -- along with your debit or card card ...
Re: If it is a Galaxy S4
too bad it probably won't wash your dishes either...
Re: This is....
although i disagree with the law to begin with and this petition is good news, i stil wonder how in the world would the law be enforced anyways?
Re: Nothing New
if they have only a million listeners and 4% of those listeners have to pay $0.99 per month to listen to all the music they want, that's $39,600 per month ($475,200 per year) in additional revenue ..
pulling in an extra half million is good business.
Re: They say it's not technically a pyramid scheme!
as interesting as this all is, and i say that without sarcasm of any kind, what in the world does this have to do with buying an over priced phone?
boring.
Company A tries to gain advantage over Company B
Company B is just as bad if not worse than Company A
fans of both companies sling mud at each other in an endless loop trying to gain some imagined moral high ground in an immitation of both Company A and B all the while having the gall to prentend their above it.
boring.

Re: refusing to offer Siri as an update to the iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS,
forget what model of phone it will or won't run on.
i asked Siri "WHO BANGIN' and she didn't say "WESTSIIIIIIIIDE".
garbage? indeed.
Re: just another way for govenmentS to
as an extra step, i think we should just ban cars altogether ..
3,000 deaths attributed to cell phone use is nothing compared to the millions of deaths the depletion of the ozone will cause.
if the Government were truly interested in protecting us, they would take care of the REAL problem.
i thought it was only Apple....
....that were concerned about boobs?
Re: Android 2.3?
i'm sure when the device was being developed, Android 2.3 was just becoming available to most Samsung devices...
regardless, i agree that Google needs to step in to streamline the process....if your device is shipping with antiquated software, there should be an expectation set (and subsequently kept) of when a software update to the latest version will roll out ..
crack that whip!
Re: Great
we're years away from that...the micro-chips and installation in the jaw would be a nightmare in itself...
don't even get me started on the potential for electrical shock...
i smell a lawsuit.
Re: Really!!!
you may do this, but most don't...i can't count how many times i've been run into by people with their faces stuck to their phone or in the case of the IT department, phones...
genius idea if you ask me.
which you didn't.
so i'll be quiet now.
Re: Bandwidth management
using your phone is one thing...using it as your primary source of internet, relying solely on the network to download/seed torrents, stream television shows and other extremely data intensive activities is a whole other arguement.
Re: Bandwidth management
charging you extra doesn't magically make up that extra bandwidth, but it does act as a detterent to stay within your allotted amount...
i'm sure AT&T would send the goons out to break your knuckles if they could, but hitting you in the wallett is really one of the best methods available...
Re: Screw you AT&T!
in actuality, there was no mention made of the charges associated with exceeding a capped data plan in the orignal post....
i'm not so much concerned about my credibility as i am with pointing something out.
Re: Bandwidth management
they are throttling existing Unlimited plans....not capped plans. some of the top 5% of users are using their phone as their primary form of internet...while most may use less than 2gb per month (even those on Unlimited plans) , some of these people are using that and even more per day...
think of torrents, streaming, downloads...the list goes on.
while the markup on data / texts is outrageous to begin with, it's highly unlikely that this is aimed to save money ...
Re: Screw you AT&T!
to be fair, you did say:
Why can't AT&T and Verizon do what T-Mobile does. Instead of capping, just slow down the users speed.
besides, your rant about data limits is a bit off topic....just sayin' is all.
Re: they're not kidding.
let me give you the shortened version:
fragmentation exists due to Android phones being released with antiquated versions of the OS loaded on it and rarely, if ever, receiving updates to the most current version.
although most consumers wouldn't notice this and wouldn't care even if they did, saying fragmentation doesn't exist doesn't make it not exist.
Re: Galaxy Nexus looks like it's gonna rock-Has almost everything you'd want
amen.
Voodoo Sound
i'd be really interested to see how this compares to the amazing Voodoo Sound available for Android phones...
i don't doubt Dr. Dre when it comes to the beats but @SuperCurio did a bangin' job on that piece of audio wizadry...
Re: "I made no STRONG accusation or claim" - Huh?
so, in essence, you're talking without saying anything....
for someone pretty riled up about "the man" you're doing a bang up job of emulating the speech pattern.
Re: Should This Come as a Surprise?
is that because AT&T can afford to splash out more money or because all other carriers care more about the enviroment, medicare, social security, women, workers and consumers...
Re: Create New AT&T Jobs?!?!
with all due respect, predicting what a company the size of AT&T will or will not do is this side short of impossible ..
in the current economy and with the focus firmly on creating American jobs in America, if AT&T were to not follow through (at least partially) on their pledge, the backlash against the company would be enormous ..
that's not to say that most people don't have the attention spans / memories of fruit flies but i would ...
so....no 32gb model?
ok, 16gb is a lot of room when you take into account the SD card slot but i was ready to upgrade if the 32gb model rolled into AT&T .. 64gb of available memory? now that would have been amazing.
Re: Overrated, overhyped and overpriced
most noise cancelling headphones or those with a built in amp use a battery...
just sayin'.
Re: venturing a guess...
SuperCurio is pretty hip holmes...
probably provides better support then Dre. as well..
venturing a guess...
this is just speculation at this point but i'm sure this will allow HTC phones to use audio drivers (or amp) written / produced by Beats to improve the sound quality ..
i would assume this would work the same way that Voodoo Sound does for Android phones...
which begs the question, why not just hire SuperCurio?
Re: Ehrmz....
It's like all those hippys that think Nuclear reactors are dangerous. Of course they are, if you physically insert yourself into the inside of the reactor. Everything has safeguards.
tell that to the people in Japan...
Re: And we're supposed to be excited?
who cares about the length of the ringtone...it's the fact that Microsoft thinks creating your own rigntone is something that needs to be noted is laughable at best...
this has been industry standard for eons...even Jesus had his own ringtone.

pretty sure Stalin killed more people than Osama ever dreamed of but i see no stigma surrounding the name "Joseph"...
