SMT5600: FILTERING INCOMING CALLS?

How can I filter incoming calls with my SMT5600 so that I only receive calls from a specified group or contact list?

trevor83 said:Your accusations are unfounded. The Motorola E815 defeats you. It was released before the LG8100 and it was not MP3-crippled. Hmmmm, so that's why Verizon paid out the nose for all the VX8100 returns for E815 phones that were not crippled. Maybe in addition to being in the wake of Cingular's Itunes launch it was the dissatisfied customer who doesn't go on Phonescoop to learn of all the tricks that found out that those MP3 player ...

Celling-it, the smaller commission would mean that this person would be giving up nearly a quarter million dollars. You are correct about the capitalism side and I have no problem with it, and therefore, in the name of capitalism and fairness and integrity she's doing the right thing in directing her million dollar client to a company with better foresight, in this case that would be Cingular. You should not judge whom you do not know. ...

Celling_it said: What are you talking about GREED? The software upgrade to add the mp3 player is free and is already installed on any of the phones that are sold now. Giving something for free is not greedy, at least not that last time I checked. As far as corporate accounts stores, whether direct or indirect are not permitted to handle anything over fifty lines. That is why the company has b2b sales reps, to handle ...

Not personal here, all business. I happen to know a Verizon store owner who has a BIG deal with a large corporation in the works, and Verizon either wants to take the account away from her, or give her the general $$ for each and every connection, which is no where near what the potential business would be worth. Verizon can make seven figures from this business if they lose their greed. Instead, the Verizon execs ...

VERIZON EXECS = WRONG AGAIN!
Sep 6, 2005, 11:40 AM

The Verizon execs who approved the crippling of the LG-VX8100 were clearly wrong. Once again their greed driven interests of paying their techs to cripple features so they can later down the road over-charge their customers for features that should be part of the package have once again cost their beloved corporation lots of money by reversing their decision and paying their techs more money to undo what they've undone by now DE-CRIPPLING the MP3 feature that was ...

The American predecessor was the Audiovox SMT-5600 first carried by AT&T and now with Cingular. This phone is very similar to the SPV-C500. T-Mobile Germany is carrying a variation of the SPV-C550 verson of the phone called "SDA II Music Phone" and rumor has it that T-Mobile USA will be picking this phone up sometime in the first half of 2006. The Audiovox SMT-5600 is one of the nicest phones I ever saw when if first ...

The way Verizon drags their feet, that could mean October, but at this point I'd be surprised if it was later than that. SAMSUNG SCH-A970 is the best phone and worth the wait. Has all of the features of the LG-VX8100 and/or the Moto E815, has the hard keys on the outside of the phone for MP3 control and then ADDS the following features: 2.0MP Camera 2X Optical Zoom VideoCAM option with swivel camcorder display.

in the LG VX-8100 forum

I think the LG VX8100 is being delayed so that Verizon can move old stock. The wireless BT headsets, MP3 hard-keys (that the E815 doesn't have), and the abundant 512MB memory with expansion are all reasons why the VX8100 would kill sales on the older stock that people out of the loop will be fools to buy. So, after the Father's Day and Independence Day BONANZAS get rid of the old crap you'll see VZW launch the ...

There was a time and a place for Unions in America, prior to the Anti-trust act, prior to key labor laws that improved working conditions, and prior to established minimum wages. But in the past three decades union has been more of a hinderance than a help ... just look at the recent need for Japanese auto maker Toyota having to raise there prices for all Americans simply because GM and their union labor force failed to be ...

LG VX8100 wins hands down if you want MP3 with its OUTSIDE CONTROLS, superior outside display that in this case will get used with the MP3 controls and call list menu options, and 512MB storage for storing MP3 files. Let's face it, it's a phone ... and when you're out and about it's good to have music, dictation notes etc., it's good to have a camera, and it's good to have access to the news. The LG VX8100 storage ...

Motorola E815 VS LG VX8100
Apr 18, 2005, 7:32 AM

The LG VX8100 superior 2nd display with the OUTSIDE MP3 CONTROLS and the built-in 512MB RAM for MP3 storage is key for me. Of course, both offer Bluetooth 1.2 technology that will enable them both to work like a high-speed modem for your notebook on the road, and for $15/month with VZW. Compare that with Cingular/ATT's $79/unlimited data connection that doesn't support data-xfer with a notebook and you've got a good deal with VZW's VCast EV-DO offering. The Samsung SCH-A890 cannot ...

With the proper equipment and network support, some phones also allow faxes to be sent and received." VX8100 is not checked, E815 is checked. Does this mean the Motorola E815 can act as a ...
