Sprint Announces New Programs to Deliver Better Customer Experience
Sprint Announces New Programs to Deliver Better Customer Experience
No Contract Extensions for Rate Plan Changes, New Prorated ETFs
and Other Programs to Reward the Loyalty of Sprint Customers
OVERLAND PARK, Kan.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 7, 2007--Gone are the days when Sprint (NYSE:S) customers will be required to extend their contracts when changing their rate plans. Earlier this summer, Sprint became the first wireless carrier to give customers additional contract flexibility by extending its Right Plan Promise policy to six months. Beginning Monday, Nov. ...
I bet something like that would just kill your battery quickly.
What do you think?

you must be talking about AT&T and Verizon, they're the ones that pay too much.
That's what I'm saying! I for one, am loving my SERO account. :D
Re: Maybe Google OS has more shades of red than the standard UI?
There is no law regarding the transfer of MP3's via Bluetooth. That is like saying email will be against the law because people could attach MP3 files to a message. The crippling of sending ringtones via MP3 is a carrier thing because they want to SELL ringtones. That obviously won't happen if people could use and trade MP3s as ringers. Most Sprint phones have mass storage mode and FTP bluetooth files which do allow BT mp3 transfers... but those ...
Re: phone scoop hates sprint?
They got above 50 when they bought Nextel.
HEY RETARDS! If you would read... it mentions T-MOBILE as well...
Go to the PhoneScoop article and click on the "More info" link.
Re: If T-Mobile gets Google's OS...They will insist on ALL PINK MENU
Riiiiight...
Yes. You know your colors.
Verizon is red. T-Mobile is pink. Sprint is yellow. Alltel is blue and AT&T is/was/is/was ... orange... or blue......
Have you forgotten about PAGE PLUS CELLULAR??
They have been around forever as a Verizon MVNO. They must be doing something right.
Maybe Google OS has more shades of red than the standard UI?
Re: Phonescoop, you're wrong.
I doubt that. The system simply won't accept foreign ESN's. Those who have non-Sprint phones working on Sprint just cloned the ESN's of real Sprint phones.
Re: world first
I thought the Nokia N95 had a 5.0 MP camera....
Mark my words... a CDMA Variant will hit Sprint in 2008.
Sprint has a habit of convincing Samsung into taking their cool European, Korean phones and converting them into Sprint CDMA Phones.
a940, a900, Upstage, etc..
In 2008, we will see this phone as a CDMA EV-DO Rev. A QChat compatible phone.
Re: hmmm
But it is still stupid to leave it out. The cost between an 1xRTT chipset and an EV-DO chipset is negligible. It is almost as if someone at LG found some forgotten inventory of 1x chipsets in their warehouse, so LG just said, "eh... lets get rid of these... stick them into the LG Rumor."
Re: hmm, can't read can ya
Yup... here is EXACTLY what I got from VZW.com search of Arizona... where I live...

Look at all of that Alltel coverage Verizon is declaring at it's own. Even the map key doesn't have anything seperating native and roaming. Only digital and extended digital. Also... extended digital... is just roaming where data/text may or may not work... that is why Verizon is covering their ass by calling it "Extended Network."
Re: I have some questions - MP3 Pictures NAI etc..
There was a DUN hack for Treo's that allowed free PAM use... dunno if it works for Centro.
Or...
You could buy PDANet software by JuneFabrics, which allows you to use your phone as a modem without the monthly Sprint Plan.
One time $35 fee for PDANet
or pay Sprint $40 per month.
It's your choice.
Re: LOL,
LOL @ you. You are acting as if the Sprint CDMA service and the Nextel service are the same thing. 1st of all, when you take all of Sprint's coverage + roaming... and you take all of Verizon's coverage +roaming... Sprint has more coverage. Furthermore... Sprint... unlike Verizon... shows you native and roaming coverage on their map, where Verizon just lumps it all together, giving ignorant consumers the impression that Verizon has such a great network. And Sprint does ...
Re: LOL
You sir are WRONG. Not to mention that PPC phones on Sprint can be hacked to support MMS. It is VERY easy to do... so it really is a mystery to me as to why Sprint just doesn't put it in.
Re: Welcome to 2005, Verizon!
Yes. I am a Sprint fan. Why? Cause I think I get more for my money with Sprint (even outside of SERO). They don't cripple my phones. I don't have to pay for anything higher than a Power Vision plan for PDA phones.
But even then... I can admit Sprint's flaws. Why is Sprint's churn so bad? Poor advertising. Sprint needs to fire it's ad department and steal Verizon's. Verizon heavily advertises it's hot new phones and they have ...
Sprint hasn't carried a Kyocera in YEARS...
It will be pretty interesting when Kyocera is done swallowing up Sanyo (mobile phone division).
Re: Even If VZW Introduced 100 New Phones...
Well... Verizon wants to charge you $2.99 per month for that functionality.

Welcome to 2005, Verizon!
Sprint was doing this 2+ years ago.
Hey RIM... see what Microsoft did with Zune...
All of the people who purchased the first Zune are getting their firmware updated with all of the features that the new Zunes have.
Are you paying attention?
Meh.... It's a Mogul without a keyboard...
That's all.
Re: Nice phone but...
I don't get it either. I always hear people saying... "Why all the flip phones? Don't they carry any bar phones?" They finally got the Moto SLVR, and it was a Best Buy exclusive. Now they have the Sanyo S1, and it is a Radio Shack exclusive.
Re: Stick a fork in Qualcomm, they're done!
I didn't say CDMA is done... I said Qualcomm is done... which #1. was a joke and #2 is not completely true, but partially true. The ITC ban is hurting Qualcomm... because of Broadcom, and Broadcom is still coming out with new chips.
All and all... Qualcomm gets hurt.
Stick a fork in Qualcomm, they're done!
Good Riddance.
Re: Nokia is going to NEED to play nice in CDMA-Land if they want any of that WiMax action....
That is just a rumor with no hard evidence to back it up. Also... if you are citing phonenews.com as your source... I am going to chuckle.
Nokia is going to NEED to play nice in CDMA-Land if they want any of that WiMax action....
I am not sure if said phone is a "real" Nokia, but Nokia supposedly left CDMA because of patent disputes with Qualcomm. But... Nokia hasn't hidden the fact that it is drooling all over WiMax and has partnered with Sprint in deploying it and s providing devices that use it. Initially, WiMax is gonna be only for Tablet PC, Notebooks, PC Cards etc.... but eventually, Sprint is going to want some phones that use it as well. CDMA/Wimax hybrids.... ...

Re: we dont get no sericve with yall. why
Can someone please translate this post?
LG... WHAT THE HELL?
#1. In this day and age, why the hell would you not put EV-DO in this phone? The cost in chip sets is negligible.
#2. Are you absolutely dead set against QVGA displays? There has not been single QVGA LG on Sprint... EVER. Do they even use QVGA screens with their bread and butter (Verizon)?
T639 to replace 'Stripe'?
Looks similar with better features.
My Jaw has DROPPED!

Re: CDMA in the U.K.?
I thought CDMA was not legal because of the European Union.
