Not to be rude, but did you learn grammer from George Bush JR. 8) on the serious side, if both phones are being used in the same area on the same network you may want to have the phone checked.

You can find it on the transcript of the earnings call. Just use the Find feature, and search GSM you will eventually find it. there is no page numbers on it or else I would tell you the page #.

Just to add on to what we have already discussed. Here is what Scott Ford had to say about it in a release. "Our transition teams are busy at work, and as soon as practical, we will launch our national retail plans in these markets and begin exploring opportunities to utilize Western's expertise with GSM technology to capitalize on roaming opportunities in the heritage Alltel markets."

At this point the only thing that has been completed is the financial transaction. And who I work for now my paychecks are Alltel. Plan on another 6 or 8 months before you start to see a branding change in WWC markets.

that is OK, I heard that they are rather fond of WWC being open on Sundays in the call center. They apparently are busy on Mondays versus we are not because we are open that extra day. I was hoping to have Sundays off, but it looks maybe like now they will be open on Sundays. That is a bummer.

It may only be phone insurance, but it is still regulated. And that would be insurance fraud. We just had a big pow wow about us adding it for customers when they tell us their phone is broke.

That seems logical, if that is what they are doing with ATTW towers. If they turned them to CDMA wouldn't they have to divest those towers in KS, NE, AR, that is part of the DOJ agreement is that they can keep the GSM towers. I would think that if they switched them to CDMA it would be a violation of the DOJ requirements. I may be wrong though. It seems that we both make good ...

According the 1st quarter earnings release GSM roaming revenues accounted for 38% of WWC roamin revenues. That is a good chunk of money not to take advantage of.

Re: Western Wireless GSM?
Jul 14, 2005, 6:38 PM

WWC does not have customers on GSM we charge other peoples customers for using them. Alltel customers will not be using the GSM service. Take for instance in my area, I know several people that have Cingular, though Cingular does not provide service in our area, they can use our towers, that is roaming revenue. That is all they are for is roaming revenue. We love revenue, They are already in place and in Kansas ...

Re: Western Wireless GSM?

WWC does own it's own GSM towers, and it is for roaming revenues, Alltel woudl be foolish not to expand on that, right now wwc is the only carrier in the nation that has all three major technologies operating on there system. Guess who the only carrier is now? From what I understand from meatings that I have been a part of Alltel is considering expanding on this because it is a great source of roaming revenues ...

We do have a tool that we use for exisiting lines of service I am not going into specifics however it is based on several different factors. If you add a line however, it is not a factor, you get new promotions as a new customer. I would not worry about the tool that is used, but I can tell you that if you pay your bill on time, every month that is one of the factors ...

Just like any other roaming agreement. If we have an agreement with say cingular, then you could roam on our towers. It is good revenues for WWC.

So even at activation we won't be added roadside assistance free for a month? That is good to hear you don't know how many times we get calls about that. I know it is on the service agreement, but come on. You know how often those things are read. They are probably playing with their new phones when you are trying to explain everything to them. I am glad to hear this though maybe ...

I talk to customers and they tell me they never asked for that feature, ...
