Thanks. I called again for clarification and such. I think some phones I'll send back and some I'll sell, depending on their market value. I really hate having to mess with all this but not being able to use my phone is a big issue.

Yeah, that's what they told me. I explained I'd be ok with that if I had recently moved here but the fact that I've paid full service price for the past 3 years while being able to only use my phone away from home I'd expect some sort of discount. Also, the other 3 lines are in a different location and that has absolutely terrible data service. Sprint never acknowledged it until recently, stating it's because ...

Interesting. I hadn't heard of having to return my equipment. I may put up a fight on this one. I can sell my iPhone 4S for more than the $100 my ETF is. I've paid 3 years and have maybe been able to use 1GB during that whole entire time due to their incredibly slow speeds. I'll call 'em up tomorrow and see what they say.

I'm pretty excited about this. I live in an area that has a huge white hole for Sprint service. I've put up with it for the past 3 years since I have a 4 line family plan and the others live a few hours away but I've finally had enough. Anyway, I'm planning on going with the 10GB/month (I think, maybe it was 6 or 8?). And I'm going to tie it to my home U-verse ...

Planning to leave Sprint, any advice?
Jun 3, 2013, 12:02 AM

Ok, this isn't one of those hate on Sprint things. I like Sprint, I really do. Unfortunately I live in an area not covered by Sprint. On their maps it's a huge white hole. I've got by with an Airave for the past 3 years (that they made me pay for) but I just can't handle it anymore. I have 4 lines total, the other 3 live a couple of hours from me. They at ...

I didn't read this anywhere, but I've had to reset my phone a few times since I've had it. I currently live in an area not serviced by Sprint, and before I could use my phone, I'd have to be on the Sprint network and have a data connection. Going through my AIRAVE wouldn't even work. I think there's a patch to get around this, but again, don't want to have to mess with that in the event ...

I thought of keeping it as a backup. I'm worried that if I need it 6 months from now I won't be able to sign into my Palm Profile because HP shut it down or something. I'm looking to sell it (or give it away) and get a basic phone to use as a backup.

What does Apple have to do with this? While I admit Palm had some capital issues when dealing with webOS, specifically getting it on decent hardware, HP just dragged their feet and did everything not to get webOS out there. There's a huge following to Palm/webOS, even after they've been given the shaft for the past 6 years. Long wait times between updated hardware. Updates to software that never show. I honestly think their current CEO ...

If I go in interested in upgrading, and I start asking questions, I expect honest and accurate answers. If I see they're either lying or don't know what they're talking about, and then they start moving on when I tell them I'm not sure about which I want, I take my business elsewhere. That's one of the reasons I've done all my upgrades in the past 3 years at Best Buy. They're helpful, I don't have to deal ...

This is the exact mentality I'm talking about. Don't get so excited about the money and help the customers. Then they won't leave pissed and go to AT&T or Verizon. By the way, where I work, we do have to send a portion of our sales back up to corporate, so it's not like I'm not aware of it. Problem is, I could care less. If a customer comes in and needs help with something, we help them, ...

So you're telling me that there is absolutely no money that gets funneled to a corporate owned Sprint store from any outside sources, either rebates from manufacturers or even from Sprint itself? Either way, the average customer doesn't care. They see Sprint on their bill they pay each month and a big Sprint sign outside this store. They expect to be helped, assisted, and serviced by them. Again, maybe that's why their customer service ranks so low, because workers ...

It can be done at BB or RS, but I usually have to wait in line to do that. Normally though, I either know the same or more than the Sprint sales person, so I don't bother asking them any questions. I'll just go in, tell the girl at the counter (who almost always never answers then phone when I've called) I'm there to look. When I do bother the sales people, it's usually when it's slow and ...

Are you sure about that? I just ran the Updates app on my Sprint Pre and was told I'm up to date with 1.4.1.1. From other sites that I've read, 1.4.5 was pushed out to a European carrier (maybe Asian, somewhere far away) and that was it. Sprint is supposed to get 1.4.5.1 July 7, in the evening.

If you go to www.sprint.com/airave ,it'll let you put in the area code to make sure it's available in you're area. I'm living in 77975, used to live in 78332. When I hooked it up, either the GPS or connection lights wouldn't light up. Took it to a friend's house in San Antonio and it was running in 20 minutes.

That's what I thought. I actually bought the thing on eBay one of my first nights here. When you call them, they give you the run around. Seriously, does Qualcomm really think they're going to push back the date just because Qualcomm has a huge interest in something that was set in stone. What about all the people that have known about this for YEARS and all the money taxpayers have spent to pay for cards for the converter boxes. These people know, but there's no way we can hold them responsible. That would just be silly, at least under our nanny government.

I do have to agree with you, that is an absurd amount of money. I will say that I don't know how much all that equipment would cost. I would assume you probably only need enough on hand to cover 2 zones, with maybe a 20 mile radius. I do have a feeling that this is kind of like Sprint asking for a bailout in disguise. I have never used a palm product on my Mac. I've always used Missing Sync. It's a more seamless and seems to be a more quality product. I hope that the Pre will allow third party developers to develop something like Missing Sync. If I can't sync with my Mac, or at least the data that originates on my Mac, I may have to wait on the Pre.

I don't think there's anything out mentioning that yet. To me, it looks like it's just going to sync with Gmail, Facebook, Outlook, and Exchange accounts, which are not Mac dependent. I emailed MarkSpace and asked if there were any plans to create a program that synced the data in my Address Book and iCal with Gmail. There's one out there, and when I last checked, it was kind of expensive for what it did. ...

Will AT&T Match My Discounts From Sprint?
Jun 29, 2008, 1:09 PM

I'm a current Sprint user, and I get 25% off my monthly bill because of some corporate agreement with the company I work for. Will AT&T be able to match this? I'm paying nearly $200/month, and if I go with AT&T, the plans are going to be about $200/month also, but with this discount, I'm saving close to $50/month, which is enough to make me stay with Sprint (and not have an iPhone).
