Re: Two Questions

I haven't tested it on the Aria yet, but on my other HTCs you have to have the headphones hooked up to it so it can use the cord as the FM antenna but you can listen to the radio through the loudspeaker on the phone. Since it's Android, you should have plenty of options for being able to watch Youtube videos. I know the Skyfire web browser can do it right in the browser or I'm sure you ...

To paraphrase an iPhone carrying friend of mine when discussing the lack of multi-tasking on the devices. "If I want to bog down my device by running social networking apps integrated with my OS that should be my decision, not Apple's." Just my $.02

I agree that wether or not you like the design is definately a matter of personal taste. Personally, I think the phone looks nice. I don't know that I'd call it an "instant clasic" or anything like that, but it looks nice. The problem is that this is a phone that is made to be used, not merely set on a shelf and admired. All that glass doesn't look as pretty when covered by fingerprints, oils and make-up. Not to ...

When it comes to camera first and everything else second, I can't believe you picked the Pure for AT&T. Yeah, it's a cool phone and would definately be my first pick but I'm a Smartphone lover. For AT&T Cameras with phones built in, you can't beat the SE Tobey with it's 8MP camera, lens cover and very camera-like qualities. Just my thoughts on it!

Haven't actually carried the phone yet, but I work for an AT&T authorized agent and have played with it a lot here in the store and here's what I've noticed: Decent screen. iPhone's might be better but this one's very nice. Great for watching the MediaFlo TV. MediaFlo is great! Plenty to watch for whatever you're wanting. Kid's shows, news sports, comedy and even a station that plays movies. The coverage might not be everywhere yet, but if you can get ...

If the screen isn't cracked you can just do a warranty exchange by mail and get it replaced for free. If it is cracked, then I'd use your phone insurance if you've got it or, if you don't, then contact nokia as the other person responded. $105 is kinda steep but it beats what you'd pay for a new phone.

Re: NEW TAB TOP HAS STEREO BLUETOOTH???

Yes, the Tab Top is just another version of active idle. It's pretty nice looking but I prefer to use the regular idle mode and use button shortcuts. Also, I did a warranty exchange on my old version, got the new "Tab Top" firmware version and it is, for sure, A2DP compatible. Tried it with my wife's stereo bluetooth headphones and it worked like a dream. Finally, we get A2DP on the N75 without having to go through all the unbranding ...

Re: Email Retrieval

Are the emails coming into your email box or into your messaging inbox? If they're hitting your messaging inbox then it sounds like they're being forwarded as SMS's. In this case, there's something turned on in your email account that's forwarding your email to your phone and you'd have to go through your email provider for that. Hope this helps.

You should be able to go into your email settings and turn off the automatic retrieval. Menu>Messaging>Options>Settings >E-mail>Mailboxes>(your e-mail account)>Automatic Retrieval>Make sure both "Receive and auto-update" and "Header retrieval" are disabled.

I'm curious ast to what region of the country you're coming from because I'm in central Arkansas and we usually have a lot of problems with unlocked phones around here. I don't know if the reception in your area makes a difference or not.

Good question. I'm kinda curious about this too, especially since I know a lot of people have been talking about turning the 3g off (once it's been unbranded of course) to save on battery life.

Yeah, That's what I was affraid of. Most of the unlocked phones I see have terrible reception. Since most of them have been european phones somebody bought off of ebay though I didn't know if it would be the same for an american phone. Since Nokias get such good reception anyhow I was wondering if it would make such a big difference but apparently it does. I love this phone, haven't had much problem with it at all and ...

So you did notice poorer reception after unbranding it? if so then forget that, I don't need A2DP that badly.

Reception on N75

Has anyone experienced any loss of reception due to using the unbranding process. I work in an AT&T agent location and have seen a lot of phones lose reception when they get unlocked. I love my N75 but do want to take advantage of the A2DP and other benefits of unbranding it but not if I'm not going to be able to use it for it's primary purpose. It is a phone after all. Any feedback I can get on ...

The W580i is a good phone. It's got a good music player and nice screen and nobody will deny it's got one of the best batteries of any phone AT&T carries. Ultimately though, it just doesn't do everything the N75 does. I use my phone for a lot more than just calling and listening to music, which are the W580i's two strong points along with camera. I've considered getting a tilt or Blackjack II but just really don't have ...

When I tell people about all the features of the N75 they get downright excited about it and usually buy it. I've sold I don't even know how many. Unfortunately there's been a few people who were coming from RAZRs or something else and didn't take the time to learn the Symbian system before giving up and returning it. Most of them love it though. I am determined to turn people into Nokia lovers! lol

Like somebody said in another thread, if the N75 was any indication, don't look for this from AT&T anytime soon, if at all.

This is sad but I actually work in an AT&T dealer store and I would probably go unlocked. I came to this decision after finding out that the AT&T version of the N75 is the only version that isn't A2DP stereo bluetooth compatible. I've been trying to do some research into a way to fix it but have come up with nothing so far. Yeah the unlocked one might not have some features like MobiTV but anything it can't ...

If it's anything like the speakerphone on the 6230 then it should be pretty good. I had the 6230 and loved it. I actually liked the speakerphone on my 6230 better than my V400. As far as being able to hear the person if you're talking, if I'm talking to a person who's not on speaker phone it's hard to hear them if I'm talking so that's kinda hard to answer.

Cingular was actually going to have PTT quite a while ago but after Verizon's problems when they first released PTT and the backlash that it caused I think they decided to wait until they had it perfected as much as possible.
