Sprint has the smallest native coverage and the slowest native network of the big four carriers. Anyone who switches to Boost is going to be in for a rude awakening.

T-Mobile is going to launch native coverage in Montana by the end of this year (2015). This should be the coverage by EOY 2015: http://i.imgur.com/9zhIg80.png No, it's not a lot in geographical terms (MT is a big state!), but they're going to hit most of the big population centers which exist in the western part of the state.

I prefer motorola, but I've heard mixed reviews of their entry-level V180 phone, so I would stray away from that. For something simple, the Samsung SGH-C207 fits the bill perfectly. Its small, lightweight, and gets a 4.4 out of 10 reviews on hofo. Not too many bells and whistles, color screen is about it. For something with more, I'd reccomend the Nokia 6230, you add Bluetooth, VGA camera, MMC expansion slot, EDGE data. Compare the two here: https://www.phonescoop.com/phones/compare.php ?id%5B%5D=574&id%5B%5D=408&id%5B%5D=&id%5B%5D =&id%5B%5D=

If you flash to the 6FR firmware, you'll have 0 problems. My 24R firmware was weird sometimes it'd freeze (very occasionally) and I didnt like how it didnt have american english. 6DR was bad because I got weird texts after I checked my voicemail. 88R seemed to have slightly laggy menus. So I flashed to the 6FR monsterpack, and the 0003 language pack, and I love it now.

Change it to predictive english. hit the button that looks like "=" thats between cancel and insert. then goto entry setup. Change "Primary Setup" to "iTAP English". Change "Secondary Setup" to "TAP English". If the dictionary is still being dumb, if you have a data cable you can flash the 0003 language pack (has American English instead of UK English). I'd also upgrade to firmware R474_G_08.48.6FR while I was at it. Oh, and lastly, if you use iTap English it will add words ...

My instructions were on how to use Windows built in bluetooth capability to do pictures/videos/music(ringtones)/ and games. Flashing is a different animal, you gotta get some firmware (charge your phone battery 100%) then flash with PST. It takes a little time. Id stick to the bluetooth adaptor and windows built in capability, its so easy.

Alrighty, go into the phone and under connection change "memory card" to "data/fax connection". Secondly, if you are using the bluetooth dongle, you totally dont need MPT if you have XP (SP2). Just install whatever drivers your bluetooth dongle comes with and go to "My computer" then "my bluetooth connections". Follow up by turning bluetooth on, then click "find bluetooth devices" right after you tell your phone to "make discoverable". Now, it'll ask you to make a pin, so you can ...

Video length is only limited by memory. I've only tested a few minutes before getting bored and stopping. You can set it to "MMS" length so your videos are short enough to send to others. Otherwise you can use bluetooth or the included USB data cable (and included software) to pull the videos off yourself.

I had the same problem as you... all the cases on the market, and there are only 2 that are meant for the V635. Krussel makes a V635 case but I thought it was ugly because its mostly clear plastic on the front (available on ebay). I heard you needed to use SIMs produced by Axalto for the Treo. They have the letter "A" instead of "G" Apparently the ones made by Gemplus produced problems (in the Treo, but not any other phones as far as is publically known). If your Treo has been behaving 'strangely' you should check the make of your SIM card which will sport a "G" or "A" after the 5 digit SKU. If you have a "G" card (for Gemplus) and ...

If the adapter isnt a US adaptor, there are a few things you can do. Some adaptors are actually worldwide (110-240V) but just have the wrong plug, so you can get a simple plug adaptor. Otherwise, I'd reccomend just buying a normal US house charger before buying a voltage converter.

Does anyone have a custom-fit leather case for their v635? (No pouch) I'd prefer a motorola case, but as long as its made with real leather I'm cool with it. Also, I'd prefer that it interfere as little as possible with the camera when flipped open.

FWIW I've seen only one customer ever telemarketed, and it wasnt from verizon. There is a company called "Cellular Phone Company" out of (if memory serves, its been awhile, I believe Bloomfield NJ).
