...but either way, even if it does, where is the down side? If they go under, you won't have to pay an ETF, then you'll be able to go to any other carrier you want, get a new phone, and there's really no harm, no foul. And the worst case scenario is really that you may lose your number if they go under so fast that you don't have time to port. But, again, there's really no problem here. ...

Yes, the premium plan would actually work best for everything involved...however, the chat rep i talked to said that it won't work with the bb pearl...that the premium plans are not actually compatible with ANY PDA device...is that true or false? i know Sprint's Simply Everything plan works with BB's, palms, HTC's, etc...but not sure about VZW's...

So...my bf and i got an account together...and he works for Home Depot and gets a 25% discount. but when they added me on, they said that the corp. discoutn he was getting was only valid on his main line. not on mine. Since I ended up getting the BB Pearl (he has the EnV), this is how it ended up working out. Keep in mind we both need unl sms, pix, flix, email, web access, and navigation.

Does ATT even have a full qwerty phone that's not a PDA? actually...scratch that. doesn't matter. Sorry...but i wouldn't go to a GSM carrier if you paid me. Been there, done that...won't look back.

You're right. i did know it didn't have EVDO. I didn't think this was going to be a problem...but when using the Navigation and i was driving faster than the phone could keep up with, it just wasn't working out for me.
as far as my phone being defective with the too fast typing, i tried 2 others (one in a store, and a friend's) and they had the same problem. I dunno...maybe you type really slow?

well...i used to work retention for sprint...recently quit and moved to California, but i decided i was still going to keep sprint bcause i still had friends there and got the SERO plan. Well...the SERO plan was kinda pointless now that the simply everything plans came out, cuz i had a pearl, and was paying $70 anyway (30 for voice, 30 for BB plan, 10 for navigation). Is there a service LED on this phone that blinks red or something when you have new text messages and such? Just curious...not a deal breaker or anything, but a nice touch...TIA!

Ok...so, we all know that Sprint's version does not have MMS. Ok...that's fine, i've gotten around that by sending the pics as emails. I haven't had any problem with sending them to att customers at @mms.att.net and no problems sending to sprint phones at @PM.sprint.com...however, i can NOT seem to get my phone to send them to VZW! I'm using the @vzwpix.com to send them, and i can send them just fine as an email from my work email ...

Ok...DL'ed it...and it looks AWESOME!! way faster than the BB browser...except now...it won't connect. at all. :cry: don't know why...i've only had it DL'ed for about 3 hours...used the whole 3 hours no problem, then went back to start page, tried to look something up...and it just sits there connecting. the bar doesn't even move to show it's making progress...used the BB browser...and it worked just fine...what's wrong with my opera?

I clicked on "list of known phones" but it did nothing. i was afraid to DL it if my phone was not supported, because, well, ...

Umm...not to disagree with you Yean, because i think you have tons of great info (I am praying that you ARE right about this), but I have the pearl with sprint and after a lot of research in the 8130 forum and in other places, i don't think the pearl is MMS capable. If it is, please let me know how because this is the one flaw with this phone. i have tried every way possible to use ...

Ok...i know this should be pretty self-explanatory, but it's not...how do you clear the VM icon? Yes, i've listened to the VM...in fact, in an effort to clear it, i've erased every VM i had saved...Still won't go away.
I've looked all through the user manual and in the "help" section on the actual phone. there is no way (that i can find) to clear this icon!
PS-it looks like a little tape...that IS the VM icon, right? ...

Ok...how? I have the Sprint Version and I can't figure out how to send MMS and it isn't very helpful in the user manual. everytime i've taken a pic and tried to send it, it says that "No message services configured. you will only be able to save draft" and I have tried to "configure my message services" but have no idea how. Please help!! If this can be fixed, this would be the PERFECT phone!!

I'm seriously considering going to Helio for the Ocean or possibly the Drift...they both look absolutely awesome. I just have a couple Q's before i make the big jump...:
1) do any of the phones have threaded SMS? or is that only a palm/Rim smartphone thing?
2) Do any of the phones have EMS? (where you can send preloaded animations and texts with more than 160 characters)
3) Is there a 30-day trial period?

Well, i know about picture mail, obviously, but with verizon, you can send texts longer than 160 characters and you can even add cute little animations...i know, it's probably silly, but i love those.
and, yes, a confirmation for the sender, and i liked it...again, silly, but i was just wondering.
and i have the a920 right now (waiting for my M1 to come) and everything that i've downloaded from sprint's website is voice tones, not polyphonic. the tones that ...

MMS Messaging...When are we gonna get it? Why don't we have it already?
Text delivery receipts...I know Verizon does this, and I find it very helpful...I hear we're supposed to get it by Q1 of 07, does anyone else know about this?
Why can't you DL polyphonic ringtones to our newer phones? why do they have to be voice tones? I hate those kinds of ringers and they're always quieter than polyphonic.
