nope, us cellular for my s4 but again the carrier doesn't matter. I have a brother w/ TMobile that can't do it and a brother w/ AT&T that can't do it.

I don't think either of these "issues" have anything to do with Verizon. I have to end the whole call on my S4 as well and it's not VZW. The 2nd thing seems to be an iPhone issue, regardless of carrier. Your post is probably better suited for the phone review section.

A) Phoneman didn't say that....unless you followed him on twitter and asked him.....but again anyone who knows what they are doing knew the "trick" already. B) One of your lines doesn't have to be a dumbphone, it can be any PHONE, just can't have unlimited data on it. (unless you want to lose it on that line)

You really think VZW doesn't know what you know? It's not hard to figure out how to keep it, and just because you don't post it on here doesn't mean VZW won't change policy, they've already started "fixing the loophole" by not letting you do alternate upgrades on non-phone lines. They will eventually stop all of it. Get over yourself. Here's his big secret: Do the upgrade/alternate upgrade on a line that doesn't have unlimited ...

Re: Verizon or Sprint
May 25, 2013, 1:06 PM
in the Verizon Wireless forum

Sounds like you need to decide what is more important to you- "unlimited data" or better service/network. There is a reason Verizon has way more customers than Sprint. Your data may be unlimited with sprint but if it sucks, is that really better? Also, may want to ask the Sprint Forum if you want to be sold on Sprint.

Re: Share Data Plan
Aug 23, 2012, 11:08 AM

yeah, I know how it works.......I was making a point that just because a company says something now, doesn't mean they won't change it later.

Re: Share Data Plan
Aug 22, 2012, 3:18 PM

and Verizon said customers who had unlimited would be grandfathered in......how'd that work out? Either way their networks suck.

Re: Share Data Plan
Aug 22, 2012, 1:09 PM
in the Verizon Wireless forum

Sprint and T-Mobile have crappy networks, thats why most of the customers have AT&T and Verizon to begin with. What good is unlimited if it sucks? Also, Sprint and T-Mobile will probably get rid of their unlimited too in the future so then you will be right back to where you started.

You could go to a premium retailer/indirect agent and do your upgrade 7 days early.

That'll learn 'em...........Verizon will soon go out of business cause you 2 won't purchase new phones........I better start looking for another job.

Re: Here, here
Jun 3, 2012, 12:20 PM
in the Verizon Wireless forum

So you think 2 Verizon reps, none of which got credit or paid for the sale, purposely misled him? For what reason? You don't think that maybe they looked at a coverage map and he was in an area that should have 4G, but just doesn't due to other factors? (from the coverage map):"This map does not guarantee coverage......Even within a coverage area, many factors, including network capacity, your device, terrain, proximity to buildings, foliage and weather, may affect availability ...

Re: Was told by Verizon I had 4g service but do not . . .
May 31, 2012, 10:23 AM

That's why you don't go through wirefly. You took the time to go to the store and get the info, you should have gotten the device there. Since you got it from a 3rd party, you have to get it fixed by that 3rd party......at least thats how we have to do things (premium retailer)....if we need an ETF waived for reasons like this, we have to go through our indirect manager, customer service won't do it. ...

Re: What kills me!!!!
Feb 16, 2011, 6:54 PM
in the Verizon Wireless forum

What kills me is the fact that somethings can not be corrected. Whether its a reps error or a customer error, someone somewhere should be able to fix it. Example: Customer comes in to start a NEW line of service a few days ago with it's own separate account number, and the rep adds it to an existing account and now that account is past due and shut off. I am told by numerous customer ...

There are no Loyal customers. Long-time? Yes but Loyal? No. They are all ready to jump ship as soon as they don't get their way. This guy is a perfect example. They all feel this sense of entitlement because they pay their bill every month.

Billing to account??
Jan 31, 2011, 4:11 PM
in the Verizon Wireless forum

I have read the FAQ's and didn't see anything about it. Does anyone know if I will be able to bill the phone to my account? Customer service said I could bill a phone at full retail but I don't think she quite understood everything and I have been told 2 different things before from customer service. (I'm sure you all know how that goes.) I guess I will find out on the 3rd, ...

Droid Pro question/ Rant (sorry)
Dec 12, 2010, 3:48 PM
in the Verizon Wireless forum

Is there any way to remove the "stock" apps/programs that I don't' want and never will without rooting the phone? Skype, City ID, etc.... I have not downloaded them and NEVER open them yet almost every time I go to my task killer, they are listed as running. So apparently they run on their own and use up battery (which sucks to begin with). If I can't delete them, any way I can make it so ...

I'm guessing that since they are already SOLD OUT of a phone that's been out for a week, they didn't blow anything. Something is working or they would have "dozens of them lying around".......like Verizon apparently.

You obviously don't want a standard phone if those are the 2 you bought. What you mean is you want a cheap phone. Too late to switch models. You should have gotten the TEP when you signed up and you should have asked all of these questions then too. Now you have to play by the rules, it's what you get when you're cheap. Pay the money, get them fixed, get the ins, ...

(not believing what I just heard) C- Will lightning strike a cell phone or does it go straight for the tower? Re: Upcoming phones, in addition to the PRE
Jun 2, 2009, 9:01 AM
in the Sprint forum

If all you do is make decisions based on what other people say then you're an idiot. What customer likes paying fees? None, so of course they are going to rate them poorly. I guarantee you there are more people satisfied with their wireless service than are not. You never hear about that because they aren't the ones on the websites taking the dumb surveys. Also, if half of the pissed off people actually ...

There are no "loyal" customers. First time they do something you don't like, you're ready to leave or threaten to if you don't get what you want. How is that Loyal? Until you own your own large company, you have no idea what you'd do to keep "loyal" customers. All you customers out there think you know everything about how a carrier should operate. None of them got where they are today by making everyone ...

Re: rebate fraud
May 29, 2009, 1:12 PM
in the Sprint forum

Not trying to be a smarta$$ but how is this "fraud" exactly? Alltel does this. Or they did when I worked there. You can't cancel a new line without returning the phone so what advantage does the customer gain? Company gets 1-2 yr contract, Customer gets discount on phone. Sounds fair to me.

Re: rebate fraud
May 29, 2009, 1:09 PM

mt2805 says: " Maybe you upgraded a line, then moved the phone to another line, voiding the mail in rebate? Answer: The rebate request was completed properly. " You didn't answer the question. Also, if they "purposely" aren't sending you your rebate, you really think they are gonna give you 3 months of free service? You are wasting so much time going through all of this for a $100. Plus it's just stupid. Cancel ...

Or you and other ignorant people could check their mail. Surely someone that works for your private dealer got the letter? You all have Sprint right? Texting isn't the answer, not everyone has that feature regardless of the phone and assuming they do is just stupid. Everyone gets their bill though.

Re: Text Question
May 4, 2009, 12:58 PM

It's not actually on my phone, never has been. I have had 2 or 3 phones since then. Never got the messages on either of them. It's not a message that I'm getting charged for just an advertisement or something for NFL Mobile.

Text Question
May 4, 2009, 11:12 AM

I keep getting messages like this: "Jets' Greene worked his way from warehouse to NFL. Read the full story in NFL Mobile Live." and they come from 6351 I don't want them anymore, I've replied STOP and STOP ALL and still get them. I've gone to my content manager and I had downloaded the stupid app for NFL Mobile back in Sept of 06. It won't let me delete it from my content manager cause I can't find anywhere ...

I love how you assume he will lose his virginity..... I don't believe a word he/she says. I'm sorry but there is no way any sort of corporate employee would send a customer to a 3rd party for a sale "cause it's a better deal not a manager. I'm sure you sharing company emails doesn't violate your code of conduct at all. You are an idiot Toker. All you do is spout off with all your little acronyms and other BS. Who cares if you're going to the DoD or ESPN or CNN, (see I can do it too) Shut up, nobody wants to hear or read ANYTHING you have to say. Seriously.

$40? I see.....I thought you said you bought it at full price which is close to $400. I'd have bought it too for that price. Makes sense now. Yeah, the Q was a POS. Have no idea why you roam more now, I havent' worked for Alltel in almost a year now so I'm a little out of the loop.
