Me too, I have the bold. ANd like the new one. but what is the main differences minus the trackpad? I have new keyboard on my bold 9000 (bi lingual) so i guerss i cant swap it bc of trackpad since current one is round with hole for ball. Any ideas why the numbers are white in the abover example? I know the bold 9000 was red in all examples, minus ATT, why did they nmake ...

Thanks. It sounds like a lot of iPhone 3G people all went back to BB. My boss loves his iPhone and is making fun of me for even considering BB. Can I tether the phone to my laptop, because I often do that in hotels to avoid paying for hotel wifi, esp when 3G is faster than my corporate T1 (at least on my Nokia). So if manual 3G to 2G is disabled how do I enable ...

BlackBerry virgin here (locked/unlocked question)
Nov 20, 2008, 1:16 AM
in the BlackBerry Bold 9000 forum

Hi, I have the Nokia E51 right now, love it and all, but I now realize I really need a full-sized smart phone. I thought the candy bar sized phone is all I need, and even though I am an Apple Fan Boy, I have zero desire to get the iPhone. I do have the iTouch, and it is neat, and 3G on it would make it better, but I don't want it for a phone. Anyways, I did ...

Today I noticed that the 3G of this phone works on AT&Ts network in the New Brunswick, NJ area only. I got extremely fast speeds, about 900-kB/sec. I live in the NYC metropolitan area and I still only get edge there. In fact, even in the city I get edge. I wonder why I get proper 3G in New Brunswick. Regardless of that, it works flawlessly in Vancouver, BC under Rogers. My data ...

Does No 3G and No GPS + ATT = Good Phone?
Jan 28, 2008, 2:36 PM
in the Nokia E51 forum

Looking at this phone, it does seem like an ideal phone for me. However, the lack of 3G that would work on AT&T strike me as a possible thing making me wary. The lack of GPS isn't much of a concern, though it would make an awfully nice novelty to have. The E90 seems like a much cooler phone, but I can't justify the price, especially lack of 3G that would work in the US. ...

clearly i do because i own a razr and i am about to smash it into a wall because i just bought a 6131 on ebay. why am i switching to this phone? i seen it in action already, i think it's a great phone. as for the razr, it is garbage. it crashes constantly. get-it-now games got corrupted, to send a text message, to get to the screen takes way too long. ...

true...i was a nokia lover, but i was talked into hating nokia since motorola is all feature packed and not babyish as nokia. my last several phones have been moto but i am seriously considering going back to nokia--this phone wasnt the one that made me want to go back, but i been thinking about it for a while...i think nokias are just a lot better. it is almost like mac vs PC.

sorry - i did mean 6131...but regardless it is the GSM phone--i plan on using it on cingular. as for verizon i am unaware if there is any version available for it in the works. it would be rather neat if it does, as i may consider staying, but the way verizon forces it's gui on all of their phones i am hesitant of staying.

the next best thing is to get a 6133 of course. i am really considering doing this. i am still a VZW customer and this phone was going to make me sway back to Cingular (originally I had ATT).

6102i (Cingular) would it work in Israel?
Jun 5, 2006, 10:26 AM
in the Nokia 6103 / 6102i forum

Would the 6102i from Cingular work in Israel? If so, would it roam with Orange (IL). Is there a way to switch frequencies so it would work in Europe as well? It's been a while since I used a Nokia, so does the old *3001+12345# still work to change frequencies?

Someone must have a way to make it uncrippled. I would say its in the phones BIOS and a simple making it say cripple=false should work, no? Custom firmware? I'm willing to sacrifice my warranty to get it uncrippled. If not I think we call can say **** you to VZW and go to Cingular
