WRONG
The time restraints only control text messaging and VCAST not the use of the phone calls. This is the problem, they roll new services out ans CSR are not made fully aware of the products. Most CSR's I asked will tell me the service stops the calls from going through and that is wrong.

Remember VZW offered blue-tooth phone and shutdown the file transfer option because of greed and previous agreements. They did not tell the consumer the file transfer option was shut off and their advertising never hinted this option would not be available. You'd thought they learned their lesson.
T-Mobile shuts the service down on the phone.
Lord, it looks like T-Mobile stops the service on the phone if the limits are reached. I think VZW will also but hasn't come to the point yet. The sales rep was wrong to give me incoreect information and putting me in this position.

Verizon Wireless Usage Controls
Sales rep at store told me I could control kids usage by paying an additional 5 dollars a month. I set the kid up to use 300 minutes. I was surprised when the kid could still use the phone after surpassing the 300 minutes. Seems the rep at the store was very wrong. The 5 dollars allows you to set a limit and if it is surpassed you get the all power text message telling ...

How can you judge and say we are slacking? Even the most religious teen can make mistakes from time to time it is part of growing up. We use the Chaperone service to aid us in teaching our son from right and wrong.
The parent that thinks their child or teen does no wrong is the one I feel sorry for.
Chaperone service is great.
Verizon has expanded its phones you can use with the Chaperone service and we are now using the service to track our teen to help him make the right decisions in life and make sure he is safe and where he says he is going to be.
Set up your ringer options
I have the 650 so I am not too sure about the 700W. Have you went into your options and set the ringer volume from there? When the phone is ringing or you are talking on it and make changes to the volume you may have to press the side keys or another key to confirm your change and make it stay that way until you change it again. Wireless sync
The voice feature will not work while syncing so if you have auto sync set for every 15 minutes your phone will not work for normal calls while syncing and calls will go to voice mail. If the phone is running to many applications it can hang as well. Keep an eye out for the latest updates because they address a lot of these issues. I've updated my 650 twice so far and it gets better ...
Be careful with auto sync options.
I believe the phone cannot process data and voice at the same time. If you sync every 15 minutes the voice calls will go to voice mail while trying to sync email. Someone correct me if I am wrong. :roll:

I have a treo650 phone and the MMS application on this phone only allows pictures and no video. I have to use Versa Mail and attach video file to share them. Thanks for you input.
Windows Media does RIP to mp3
You have to go into tools and then options and tweak to RIP to mp3 format but it works. I do it all the time.
Update firmware would be my suggestion.
Try updating the firmware if you think it may be the phone. The process is a little scary and make sure you have your power cord plugged in and plugged into the bottom of your data cable before you begin. I've performed the update twice with little or no problems. I do agree. I like the phone but there are issues with alerts and emails. Good luck.

I'm with Verizon Wireless
Verizon's 650 has email attachments locked on the email application that comes installed on the phone. However you can install VeraMail from the DVD that comes with your phone and that allows attachments. The reason I mention this is you cannot share any videos you shoot with the phone directly from the phone without VersaMail. Not really a big issue for some but email attachments can be a bigger issue for others. Let me know ...

LG VX8100 power cord.
My son just upgraded his phone from a LG VX6100 to a LG VX8100. I looked at the power cords that came with both phones and both appear to be the same in specs and power supply. I installed Versamail and it supports attachments. I did not try it before because Palm tech support said it did not. Funny because it appears to be marketed and created by Palm, lol.

I am going to give Versamail a try and see if that helps. Finally someone who gets it. I was not bitching about the videos only. I want to be able to use attachments in my emails for what I pay a month for unlimited access. The phone has the capabilities so why lock them up. I do not think viruses are the reason. Some folks in these forums think the reason VZW may have shutdown the email attachments on my phone is to protect them from viruses but if you are a VZW customer and can attach files to your emails then that blows that theory out of the water I guess.
