Grinder yeah I agree I should have checked my bill, the issue is I have been a customer since 1997 when they were Bell Atlantic Mobile, I can't remember the last time I rec'd a paper bill as all online. I have a corporate discount and every month my bill is + or - $5-$7 or so without any overage fees, so by removing the monthly fee is not going to be a significant change for me to notice. ...

I just spoke with customer service to inquire into the new share everything plan. While I was speaking with them I wanted to cofirm my insurance on my two iphones. Customer service told me that my inurance dropped off 6 months ago, reason because I did an ESN swap, which I swapped to a Fascinate as wanted to see something, was told that ESN swap auomatically drops insurance. Does that sound correct? So if I had to file a ...

VzwTechNM I have been a customer since 1998 when they were Bell Atlantic Mobile. Over the years 99% of the customer service rep's I spoke with were extraordinary and provided escellent customer service. I work in the same line of buisness and customer service overall in corporate America is deteriorating as quantity vs. quality is the norm. Where I work we are only as good as our managers are, which are overall terrible.

Not to defend anyone but I think the point that is being made is that it appears that high pressure numbers from upper management has forced some to do nontraditional sales tactics in order to meet a quota. This is common in today's American corporations that just look at there employee's as just numbers.

I don't think so. I believe evdo is only for evdo related functions. My evdo is off on my 8350 and I use mobile web all the time.

It allows you to make modifications to the phone. I personally use it to force the phone into 1X mode only and not 1X and evdo. With 1X only it makes the battery last longer as it is not searching for a evdo signal.

The truth about rollover is that on att you have to be able to make a call to use your minutes. Of course there are rollover minutes when you can't make calls to use your minutes

Prior to going to store I verified online thru "my account" that I am eligible for an upgrade at sale price as long as I sign a 2 year contract. It was just a matter of time before Cingular got sued for that. I am surprised it took this long. I have been with Verizon since BAM and am VERY happy. I cannot recall the last time I had a dropped call. Most of my friends and family have switched from Cingular to Verizon and they tell me the difference is night and day.

Thanks all. I have a LG 8300 and know about the menu. I was trying to set my wife's Nokia to 1X only as EVDO in my area is sketchy and it drains the battery. After I set my phone to 1X only it increased the battery life. Thanks for info I apprediate it. Oh yeah, I posted this on HoFo as well.... :D

If anyone is interested you can still buy a new E815 off Motorola website. With a promo code it is $225.00. It is currently sold out, figures. They will get more though. Verizon should have NEVER stopped selling this phone.
