Because of dust under the screen I took my Curve back to the AT&T store where I purchased it. It was well beyond the 30 day in-store return policy. They connected me with AT&T customer service and they have sent me a new Curve. A good outcome.

I am seeing the same thing, and once the iPod frenzy dies down at my AT&T store I plan to bring it in. Love the phone, but hate the dust, which makes viewing in sunlight really tough.

I am somewhat in the same boat regarding the Real Player method, but have a brut force way that works for me. I create a folder just for the songs I want in the playlist, and then can choose the option to play all. It is not elegant.

One of the main reasons that I decided to switch from my 8700 to the Curve was the form factor. It is really a phone you can carry in just about any pocket, and it is light as well. It is not quite the Pearl size, but it is QWERTY. Much better size, weight and form factor than the 8800's or the Blackjack

I have used the 8700, and my experience with the Curve is that the phone volume was better. At the highest setting it certainly seems louder than my 8700.

I have only used the Calendar, but when an appointment comes up it pops up on whatever screen you are in, reminding you of the event. You can Snooze or Dismiss, and times for how early the reminder goes off or how long you snooze is configurable. (It behaves like you would expect)

A couple of things that I have noticed, your mapping of icons and folders changes if you change your Theme. I did it once in error and thought I had deleted "Profiles". Turns out it was now just inside another folder. Regarding how to view an EXCEL file. First, remember you are viewing an image of the file, not the real file. Functionally to open one, in the email message where it is an attachment, ...

I have had an BB 8700 for about 1.5 years. This Curve is the best "phone" I have seen or used from RIM. The call quality is much better than the 8700 or the 8800 (which I tried) BB's are obviously the best email platform, and the calendar/address book is also top notch. I sync to Outlook, which makes it seemless. This device now delivers a phone to match the rest of the feature, in ...

Does anyone know if you can import pictures from a computer/digital camera to use for caller ID, backgrounds, etc?
