macuser09 said: No effort seemed to be put into working on Qchat once the first phones came out. A Qchat BB or other smartphone would have been a great addition to the lineup. Its funny you say that, long before the Tour came out, before it was even renamed the Tour, my sprint rep told me that it was going to have Qchat. i was thinking "sweet a sick looking bb, with a nice screen, camera, Rev. A and PTT!" ...
Re: Much, much better than Spint
Baltimore was launched before they decided to change the name to Clear, Baltimore will be re branded to Clear before the end of the year.
Re: Why no WIFI on the BB Tour? :? Anyone know if the Bold will come to Sprint anytime soon?
the Tour IS the Bold for Sprint, and they are re-releasing the tour with wi-fi next year.
Re: Got mine on SPRINT!!
i ordered mine at 9am sunday, got an email saying it would take 2-5 business days to process my order, then 5-8 business days to ship. phone left kentucky at 11pm last night, had it in my hand at 10:15 this morning
Re: how many sprint employees
im not an actual sprint employee, but i do have an employee account. ordered mine sunday morning, got it this morning activated it with no problem
actual "replacement" comes in the 3rd quarter
if you look at the leaked roadmap, you would see the replacement with Rev A, 5 mp camera and accelerometer will be out 3rd quarter, its otherwise known as the "Dash"
Re: Bad for Sprint Good for Verizon
How many people does verizon have with a PTT phone on their network? Certainly not the 20 million people Sprint ALREADY has on Nextel, not to mention the millions that will get qchat phones, verizon should just give up on trying to compete with sprint/nextel, no one has ever or will ever come close. Especially when verizon has 2 on the way, and sprint has 4 ready to launch in 5 days and 2 more to follow shortly.
Re: Is this the best they can do?
and your point is???
I have been told there will be, but was given no time frame on it. Unfortunate, cause it will probably not be out before the Curve comes out next month, which will be my next phone :D
Sprint_2008 said: This isnt the FIRST Rev-A phone...the Q9C was! Nope not at all, not even upgradable to Rev. A.
It is not immediately on the site
I have looked everywhere on HTC and Sprints web site, i can not find it anywhere, anyone else have any luck? I work for a repair center, and i would like to get familar with it before people start coming in looking for it.
i have yet to play with a live touch, but i have seen that there is IM links on the phone, just wondering if AIM is one of the IM programs available
Re: NOT Coming
Oh yes it is, and it will be out in Feb. 08
higher capacity battery without going to the extended battery?
does anyone know if samsung makes a higher capacity battery (more then 800mAh) perhaps for another phone, but not the extended one that needs a new door? i know that the AB553446GAB from the SPH-A420/SPH-A580/SPH-A640/SPH-A420/SPH-A640 does not fit its like a millimeter to tall.
Re: Why did Sprint drop the M610?
My thoery is that the RAZR2 is what they think is a replacement for it, yet the m610 still has better features then the RAZR2 minus the huge external touchscreen.
Re: V9m UI (UPDATE)
ive seen aug 19th
Re: NO FAIR
its fair to verizon and sprint customers, with their roaming agreements that means both benefit from this purchase as far as i know...GREAT SUCCESS HIGH FIVE! lol and even if sprint doesnt benefit from this, they have put up quite a few more towers up maine.
if your going to upgrade the RAZR do it right, improve on EVERYTHING, even though it has stereo bluetooth it still isent 2.0+edr, the screen is only 65k colors, and my m610 is lighter, i was thinking i was FINALLY goin to be apart of the RAZR family, but once again SAMSUNG got it right. Not to mention that as a sprint tech, i have seen numerous razrs come back broken in less then 2-3 months and i have ...
End of life 6/27/07, so whats replacing it???
sprints EOL was yesterday and its def not on their site anymore, so my biggest question is, whats replacing it??? i havent heard of any samsung replacement the only other phone i can think of is the upcoming V9m RAZR2, it has the most similar features and size. Any one else have any ideas?
Re: Sprint has always been and will always been years ahead of everyone else
algorithmplus said: One thing that AT&T has an advantage over is the simultaneous use of DATA while making a VOICE CALL. CDMA carriers Verizon and Sprint can't match that as right now. im pretty sure i can send a text while im on the phone (which imho is ridiclous), so you have made no point there.
Push button flip?
It looks like the button for the flip is there, but i have yet to see it in any description of the phone, anyone know for sure?
all that is meaningless to me cause where i live in southern maine and new hampshire, at&t has NO high speed data what so ever, boston is the closest city with it, where as sprint already has rev. a in maine!?! and as for the iphone, i hope you enjoy spending $600 on a ipod with a touchscreen, thing is already outdated and not even out yet
thats fine, rev.0 is fast enough, and wayyy faster then cingular :D
pennyless10 said:   YOU WERE EXPECTING SPRINT TO HAVE IT?   why wouldnt sprint get it? even though they were last with the RAZR, their the only carrier with the MOTO RED RAZR. Besides the only phone sprint has now that would compete with this RAZR2 is the m610 and apparently there killing that off in july :(
all i have heard is verizon, well they will ruin it like the rest of their phones, so will sprint get this? and when? i hope they are one of the first cause they were so behind with the original razr, or all of them get it at the same time.
Re: another m610
no your right it is, but its still not quite as thin as th m610
on myspace, there is a contest HBO's Entouage is holding, and one of the prizes their giving away is a Samsung Panther. They say its for Cingular, and kinda looks like a Sync, but it looks a little different and clearly the names Sync and Panther arent the same, does any one know what phone their talking about???
Re: Ready Link, the perfect example
Best Buys Geek Squad uses readylink actually, ok maybe you dont see them use it but they all have readylink phones
Re: m610 Holster????
if you look on samsungs site they have a holster and a leather case available. But no picture of either.
Re: Not to steal anyone's thunder..
but unfortunately new england is one of nextels largest Red market, basicly a market that is overloaded on the iden side.
Re: whats the deal with battery life on this thing???
i have to say that i dont know if this has anything to do with it or not, but since i have disabled modem nai, the battery life doent seem SO bad as before, but i still HAVE to charge it almost every night or it wont make it through the next day. Other then the battery life, i love everything about this phone and is definetly the most feature packed, thinnest phone i have ever owned.
whats the deal with battery life on this thing???
i have to rechage it EVERY night, even my nextel i870 lasted longer then this thing, and this is suppose to have over an hour more talk time, thats just simply not possible from what i have seen with my phone. Do i have a bad phone???
Re: m610 or M1
omg thank you for saying that, i thought the fact that it was still upside down was some kind of software glitch, that was really pissing me off. Also i saw that the manual says 1 gb, but if u say the 2 gb works ill probably upgrade my 512 with that. My only problem i have had with mine in the week i have owned mine is that its freezed up and restarted like twice, and that my ...
largest TF card this will handle?
i have a 512 in mine, thats what the specs say is the largest "recommended", but has anyone tried a 1 or 2gb card in this phone?
i just got the phone today, i havnt even activated yet, and i LOVE it, my last 2 phones for sprint were sanyos, but as a repair tech, it looks like the quality of sanyos has gone way down, leading me to believe that the m1 is probably not that great.

every once and a while when im repairing a i870, ill see this icon next to some peoples numbers, i have an i870 and i have never seen this on my phone, what or where is this from?
Re: No Way!
you sir are a retard
Re: More on topic...
thats exactly what phone i have
Re: More on topic...
