Re: And LTE?

Of course Network Vision is their top priority - at the same time, they want to offer devices that will attract consumers. They could have the best network in the world, but if they don't have the phones that people want, it won't make much of a difference.
Who cares about Windows Phone 8 though.... MS isn't even in the same league as Android and Apple.... they never have... even in CE days...
Why no San Diego!!!!????
Why... Why are they waiting so long to start in San Diego!!! We're not a third world city.....
Re: And LTE?
*Sprint
(Damn keyboard....) LOL
And LTE?
I think Print should focus on rolling out LTE before getting any other phones that subscribers won't be happy with because of network speeds.....
FINALLY!!!
IT"S ABOUT FLIPPIN TIME!
Re: Sprint Needs This
T Bone said:
4G is not a technical term, it just means 'fourth generation', and HSPA+ IS the fourth generation of network technology for both at&t and T-Mobile....carriers needed a way to distinguish the old 2008-2009 era networks speeds from the new upgraded speeds available today,,,,so that consumers know that the network is faster and better and calling the new speeds '4G' is a good way of doing that because ordinary consumers don't know anything about cell phone networks other ...

I work for Sprint and very much agree.
Wow.... Self burn.....
LOL
T-Mobile is pitching the plan as the only truly unlimited 4G data plan in the country
And Sprint???
: Confused :

This is just sad!
This is a feature for ppl w/o balls. If you dont want to talk to somebody or end a conversation, just do it ! !
Seriously... people just don't have the huevos anymore.
Re: It also features a "fake call" feature to help the owner escape awkward social situations
Yeah.... just imagine... you crash into a building...get out of the car... look around.... then get your fake call and slowly walk away... LOL

my iPhone battery lasts me a few days..
How much do you use it? Is it constant use? Data, Voice, Music, etc?
My BB 8350i goes about 3 days with constant direct connect and data usage.
Re: Blackberry = meh
I'm an avid BB user (8350i on Nextel)... I love BB.
I'm worried though, this is how the whole sidekick death happened... all with an outage.... What's scary is this is worldwide.... You would think that they would have more than one back up system in place... come on RIM!
Wow
Is Sprint just really trying hard to stop people from wanting to sign up with them at all?
Seriously, are they just slowly committing suicide?
:S

Verizon Wireless found some loophole and was able to establish a 14 day return policy in California. Verizon and Best Buy both confirmed this.
That's because Verizon is the DEVIL!!!!!!
Re: Statement from Sprint

This violates the law in California when it comes to returns. It's a business law here in California that customers have 30 days to return an item they dislike. Will this apply in California?
You bring up a good point. I wonder what will happen...
Re: San Diego?
Tell me about it... $4.01 for 91octane
Re: San Diego?
It is way better! :)
Also, this is where Qualcomm corporate is... I'm surprised not more newer wireless tech is tested here first... :S
San Diego?
Are we gonna get this? Because WiMax just never made it here for some weird reason... :(
Re: $0.01 per 5kb
They are going in the right direction though! :)
Please have CDMA?4G Data
If they add CDMA or 4G data to it, I will get rid of my BB 8350i. If not... they can keep it....
So close, yet so far....
AWWWW COME-ON.....
Who do we have to pay to get it available in San Diego (HOME OF QUALCOMM and CDMA TECHNOLOGY)???????
Re: Plan question
Oh, screw that then... That would make it about what like $80/month?
Plan question
So, according to this, if I get the prepaid basic and add $30/month, I can get .25/min voice and unlimited data?
Or am I missing something?
Rafster
Forgot something
Forgot that it includes web....
It's about friggin time
Wow.... It's taking everyone a lot of time to get good 3g and any 4g in San Diego...
I mean.. come on.... this is qualcomm country... we should be first with all the nextgen network stuff....
Hmmm... Not bad... But no Blackberry... Sprint still beats them
No blackberry.....
So I guess Nextel users can keep dreaming....
ARRRGHHH....
when will 5.0 be available for 8350i...
It was one of the 1st Curves on the list to say it was going to be available... almost a year later... and nothing....
AT&....... Oh wait... Is this the new Verizon?
So, AT&T will now start doing the same stuff as VZW? So, since they lost exclusivity to the iPhone, they now have to become the red devil?
Rafster
Companies are so stupid
Why would they do that w/o authorization.
There was a local movie theater here in San Diego, CA that was called Nickelodeon Cinemas or something like that. Not affiliated with the cable channel. After like 3-4 years they were sued to oblivion by Nick.
Now it's an Ultrastar Cinemas.
LOL
Rafster
Is this really that surprising?
Is it really that surprising that MS bombed on hardware and software for a device? Look at the XBox and 360....
Why isn't San Diego on this list?
I just don't understand....
We're a MAJOR city when it comes to cellular technology.
Hell, Quallcomm is 15min away from my house.

Re: Instead of wireless....
Yeah, those Motorola boxes suck....
In my area, we use the Scientific Atlanta boxes. They're much better.
I used to work for Technical Support for the Southern California region... I left there this year in June....
Re: Instead of wireless....
Actually that has to do more with your physical cabling usually. How old is the wiring at your house?

Goodbye Tilt
MMMMMM.... finally I can say good bye to my Tilt. I can't say I really liked the E71... good features, but it was a bit too wide to be comfortable...
Tis looks VERY promising!!!

Re: Nice!
I'm sure there will be a CDMA revision of the phone...
At some point...
Rafster
Re: Nice!
It is GSM...
It will have quad-band GSM/EDGE radios, as well as tri-band UMTS/HSDPA.
Didn't you read?
Rafster
GPRS 2.5G?
What is that? How fast is it? Is it actually GPRS, or is it Edge?
Thanks,
Rafster
Re: Where is it going? AT&T?
T-mobile wouldn't grab this because their 3G is 1700mhz....
Rafster
Re: WM6 Finally Available!!!
Yeah...
I wish the phones were free, just like the ones I get....
LOL
Rafster
I just don't understand....
You would think carriers would want people to text more than talk...
It costs them less bandwidth for people to be texting than to call...
I guess I understand corporate greed, but this is getting ridiculous....
The least that they could do is make incoming texts free or cheaper...hell, make out going 0.25/msg and make incoming free....
It doesn't bother me though.... I have unlimited messaging...
