I totally agree with you. That is the deal breaker with me on the iPhone. The iPhone can use its bluetooth for a head set but Apple will not allow file transfers!! What a bunch of crap.
I have owned other phones and the ability to transfer your pics and files without plugging in a dam cable is a BIG benefit to me!!

I may have found an answer to my own question. I will post it here in case someone else needs the info.
What i needed to do is add the area code to the phone number. Those with the area code were displaying correctly and those without did not. I remember this was also the case on another phone i had.........not sure which one.
Hope this is correct and i hope it helps.

When i receive a call, text message, or email from somebody, it always just shows the phone number and not the persons name.
Does anyone know how to make that setting in the INC.

I recently purchased a 8gb Transcend Micro SDHC card for my Incredible and it works perfectly.
I had no need for a larger card. I have about 1000 photos on the phone and about 1000 songs.
The phone says i have 5.56gb free on the card and 4.03gb free internal on the phone, No idea why you would need more............lol

It is 100% compatible.
Setting up Backup Assistant
If you did not set up Backup Assistant during when you first turned on your phone, you can enable it in Settings.
Press HOME > MENU, and then tap Settings.
Scroll down the screen, and then tap Accounts & sync.
Tap Backup Assistant.
Follow the instructions on the screen to sign in to Backup Assistant and back up your contacts.

Just copied over 5gb of my music to the phone. Put it under the MP3 folder. Erased the music that came with the phone. All works fine :)

Was wondering if anyone has figured out how to put my ring tones and wallpaper and music on the 16gb phones memory.
I can not send them to my number @vzwpix anymore like other hand sets?
I figured a way to put them on my SD card but what a waste of the internal memory !!

No.......nothing like the Cliq.
The Droid will have a 3.7" screen with 480 x 854 resolution and the qwerty keyboard will be larger.
Hopefully ir will have a amoled screen and not just a TFT ???

The one thing i HATE about Verizon is the top secret nature of the new releases! Ever since i first read about this phone i have wanted it.

I honestly do not have that problem.
I have charged the phone while it is both on and off with no difference noted.
I use about 900 minutes a month and go thru about 1000 text messages a month and have absolutely NO issues with the battery.
Things i do NOT use the "phone" for are the music player and the internet. I am always near a computer and use my music player. Perhaps folks that use those feature are ...

Touch Screen?
Do any of you know if there are any other phones that use the Apple iPhone screen?
By that i mean the way you touch it and the response you get. There are plenty of touch screens i have tried but no other seems to behave like the iPhone screen.
A friend told me the iPhone screen reacts to teh energy in your finger vs. having to press it on other phones?

I am SO upset at LG and Verizon! Do any of their employees ever use these phones?
I owned the original Voyager and loved 99% of everything but had to return it because no matter what ring tone i used and what volume setting i chose..............you just can not hear it ring unless your in a quiet room!
Same EXACT thing with the Touch! How upset i was when i tried it out. I thought the themes sucked big ...

Easy way would be to use your SD card or bluetooth. I have done it both ways and it is very easy indeed.
If you have and are familiar with a graphics program you can make anything you want as a wallpaper at full resolution. I have way to many wallpapers now but it is fun :)

A friend has a son that has the Dare and he has a plan to pay by MB. He accidentally pressed the wrong keys, realized his mistake and canceled as quick as possible. He used .1 MB ----- that's correct ----- .1 MB and was charged $1.99 !!!

The other day i had to call a support line for a product i was having issues with.
While waiting on hold, the screen keeps shutting off.............once the support person answers, you have to unlock the phone to talk........kind of annoying?
Any way to make the phone screen stay on indefinitely until i decide to turn it off?

WTH is the sense in owning a phone if you have to shut everything down to get good battery life!
And i can tell you right now..........if your iPhone battery is lasting 2 days without a charge, that is pure BS or you never get phone calls or TXT messages cause you have no friends!
Use the phone with all it's "great" features and the battery will NOT last even close to a day.........period. (average use)

There are INDEED many who feel like this. Most will not make comment because it will be the same to them as "bashing" the iphone when in reality it is definitely NOT!
All phones have their ups and downs, i just wish people would be open and honest about BOTH........LOL
I do not hate the iphone. I had it for 2 weeks and it is just simply lacking as a phone and those that complain about the ATT network ...

I have a good friend that has a iphone and LOVES the thing. Think it is up to the individual. I had the iphone for 2 weeks and returned it. It has some really awesome features but most of those have nothing to do with everyday phone use.
The first few days while i was "playing" and learning the phone i had to charge it 3 to 4 times per day.........that in itself should have been the warning sign.
